  • Hey that order is like rule and it could be applied to any kind of music ?

  • When I was little I remembered bead greatest common factor was the order of flatsand backwards was the order of sharps

  • Thank you for taking the time to make these. Truly appreciate it and I'm learning a lot.

  • in which lesson do you teach intervals such as the major keys, minor keys, perfect 4th, perfect 5th etc and how to work out which one is which when using key signatures? :) thanks :)

  • quick question, you know how you wrute out the sharps in a specific order or get docd marks, can you write the octave note e.gon treble clef can i write the sharp beside the other A note or just the A note you wrote it beside

  • I was taught Fanny Can't Go Dancing After Eating Bananas. haha. thats 6th grade humor there : ) oh fanny cant do a lot of things.

  • are you a descendant of Eisenstein you know allot !

  • Hello! And thank you for the great videos! I'm learning really quick. Just a thought about remembering which is sharp and which is flat in this video #12. You say the flat symbol looks like a "b" but that the sharp symbol doesn't look like an "f". Well, if you look at the sharp symbol, it actually has the "f" right in it. It's made up of 2 "f"s in a row. So that makes it easy to remember.

    Thanks Again!

  • The saying has an alternate ending, the first Father Charles is triumphant from battle when he was sent with reinforcements, then Charles's father died from the battle beforehand

  • You should do Stand-Up Theory teaching.

    I'd take your class

  • you are the man Andrew

  • Thank you =)

  • OMGSUN! THANKYOU SO MUCH!!;__; i didnt know what those key signatures meant i looked at other sites but i was so confused! u explained it so simple!! now thanks to you i know! more about reading sheet music ;__; im so HAPPY!! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!

  • If you can memorize one word and three letters, you can know the order. Its as simple as the word "BEAD" +GCF just say it in your head, bead, gcf. and if you need to know the sharps just write it down, or picture it backwards mentally!

  • thank you very much.

  • 6:58 AT THE TOP OF YOUR WHITEBOARD IT ACTUALLY SAYS SHAPS INSTEAD OF SHARPS. LOL.

  • Father Charles Goes Down. hahahha

    dirty mind forever fun.

but sereously i like your lessons, thumps up from me.

  • cool

  • That mnemonic is sublime, in the way it can be reversed to "continue" the little story.

  • at 2:04 i dont really get how you came to the conclusion that its either a Dmajor or Bminor just by looking at the sharps.

  • @rapperSkater D major and B minor are same scale, hence have same sharps, the F# and C#. these are the only scales with just those two sharps.

  • @bodhidharma78 Thanks for answering me. I figured it out after i watched a couple more of his vids.

  • For the 0:45 does that mean the key of the song or piece can be D major or B minor ?

  • Thank you so much for all your help, I paused the video at 27 seconds & with my keyboard in front of me managed to work out it was in D+ ( ^_^)

I really feel my understanding of music is progressing thank you for all your help.

when I release my first album I will chuck you a signed copy and you will be on my "thanks to" list! :)

  • Andrew, isn't the G Sharp on the Treble Cleff supposed to be on the second line up according to every GOOD boy deserves fudge? And isn't the F Flat on the Bass Cleff supposed to be on the fourth line up according to good boys deserve FUDGE always?
