i'm not really sure about music-related terms in english...
if you listen carefully, you might notice that the whole piece consists of 3 chords. i used some that i could play well, they only differ a little from the original ones in pitch.
the right hand gets to play first 2 notes at a time, and then one lower note. *pling-plong, pling-plong* ... etc. ;)
my little finger starts with an E and my middle finger starts with a C. after those 2 fingers hitting the keys, my thumb gets to hit a G
you have to repeat this little motive for 2 movements (which means 8 times *pling-plong*). after that, you continue the *pling-plong* using new keys: instead of the little finger, your ring finger hits the D and your index finger hits the B. the thumb still hits the G. this sequence fills one movement (=4 times *pling-plong*). the last sequence of the right hand is: ring finger -> D, index finger -> B, thumb -> F sharp! again, 1 movement
now, the left hand does greater jumps. but these jumps also repeat themselves.
i start with my little finger on a very low G. from there, i hit the next higher C with my middle finger. then i place my thumb even higher on F. from there, i cross my fingers to get the index finger to F sharp and my thumb follows with the G above. all this happens in the first 2 movements (while the right hand is doing *pling-plong* with G, C & E). try to hear the low notes in the song and to figure out the rhythm
the next measures are easier. when the right hand changes to the second chord (G,B,D), the little finger of your left hand hits the G below the one your thumb just played. after that, your thumb hits D. then you use your middle finger to hit the low G again. that's what happens in the 3rd movement.
when your right hand starts the last chord, your left ring finger hits F sharp, your thumb hits D, and then your ring finger F sharp again. that's about it. :)
the only difference occurs during the "da-da-da"-part. during this part of the song, your right hand plays the first chord twice as long as usually. the fingers of your left hand can jump between low Cs and Gs, just try what you like. after your 16 *pling-plongs* (G,C,E), the rest of the circle follows: the second & the third chord as played during the verses.
i hope you can make any use of this weird description ;)
copy and paste it into a typing programme, print it and have fun!
Could you possibly message me sheet music for this? I've been dying to learn it ever since I heard the song.
