  • why isn't he fired yet?

  • I can smell him through my computer...

  • I have this pedal .. its absolutely awesome for what its worth .. love it.

  • 3:10 "That's pretty much shit."

  • 2:54. . . You missed the string buddy

  • Thumbs up if you head This Is Not An Exit around 1:23 :)

  • I don't want to be pessimistic... but ie, Kurt Cobain made a lot of dynamic songs like "Smell Like Teen Spirit", were the only shit he needed was a DS-1, and a Chorus to obtain a rich variety of sounds. I think the idea this pedal was conceived was to avoid buying different types distortions and buy the single pedal to obtain them all. In my humble opinion, it's not a MT-2, it's not a Blues, it's not a DS-1, it's nothing. Great idea... bad results.

  • hmm, what pedal to play grunge-rock? cort x-1/vox da 2

  • @Zzox23 the grunge pedal

  • Why is he messing with his guitar !!!! what does the pedal do !!!!! infurriating !!

  • definitely sounds like a lynard synard pedal to me

  • man i wish i could live in the worldmusicsupply they got some awsome stuff man

  • ''I'm not gona change the pedal or anything'' He said, ajusting the volume control on his guiltar.

  • hey guys i just got this pedal and im running it through a marshall MG dfx amp with EMG 81/85 humbuckers and its like cutting out on the high gain on my distortion channel. does anybody have a fix 4 this? much appreciated

  • Sounds a bit sharp when he is wailing on the distortion...

  • I really like that he mixed up his play style in this one, and it wasn't just blues.

  • TEST THIS WITH A LES PAUL!!!!!!!!

  • how does this pedal respond to hammer ons and pull offs?

  • if you like what this pedal does, check out the plexitone pedal from carl martin

  • I like what it does, I just don't like the distortions it has.

  • would this be a good overdrive to boost the lead/ rhythm channel of my peavey 3120?

  • If you're running a 3120 I'd go for an Ibanez Tube Screamer personally

  • i have this pedal is very good!!!!!!!

  • @nikos4tw

Do this pedal will work a god as you said with and epiphone g-400(Dual Alnico V humbuckers)?

  • @mapordos i think yes but it isnt very hard

  • "sort of an envelope.... drive control..." hmm, dynamic distortion does not need an "envelope drive control", just needs good components.

  • Simply not true. Even the highest quality OD pedal will not do what this does - it's not a matter of component quality, it's a matter of design.

I'm not saying that a Klon, DLS, BOR, etc can't respond dynamically - they certainly can, but not quite like this.

  • sack this guy he keeps gulping like a frog

  • they are great for the price

  • damn that guitar has nice tone.

  • nice tone ur sound so clean

  • is this pedal good ?

  • for blues or like alternitive from playin clean cords to rippin a solo in there thats bout it . u have to play around with it

  • this is my honest verdict of the pedal:

i bought this pedal about 4 months ago. it was OK... but i decided to trade it in for a new Boss BD-2 (the blues driver) and what a difference! for rythem and lead the BD-2 just sounds alot better, i love the blues driver. DN-2 in my honest opinion is lower quality than even a DS-1. Sure the dyna amp technology sounds innnovative and is fun for a while but the DN-2 just sounds like a blanket on your amp no matter what settings you dial in DN-2 = NOT GOOD

  • fuck off ed ur a fat shit.

  • how is it with les paul hums???

  • lozz ur a cunt!

  • you can play stairway to heaven..the like version..with this pedal

  • That's exactly what I thought! SWEET!

  • I kinda like how this guy always has one specific riff that he likes too fall back on, because then you can hear exactly how much the overall tone changes with each setting.

  • Why in the world do people compare the guys who do the demos???????? That's about as relevant as the color of one's shirt. LOL This guy does just fine. :) Hey, would you buy it if Clapton did the demo? I get a kick out that! :)

    Strum on!

  • like a tubescreamer

  • i have an mt-2(mitch does)

  • Comment removed

  • I have the DS-1 and the FZ-5 when I use them together lots of noise any way to fix that?

  • Boss noise gate. try the NS-2

  • this always happens then you use 2 or even more distortion pedals at the same time

  • not always...i use my ts-9 and ds-1 together all the time

  • yeah! you're right!

It depends on your guitar, pickups or even a CRT monitor. & last but not least : your gain level =)

  • i play alot of alterantive music such as three doors down, goo goo dolls and that kinda stuff. i just got this pedal because because most of those songs go from clean to light or medium distortion and so far i have to say that this pedal is serving me well. i didn't expect much from it being that is in more of a concept/experimental pedal but the tone shaping is supirsing from it. i really like this pedal's sensitivity as well.

  • Yeah, me too Slashnpraise. I watched this 2 days ago and went to my little shop downtown and tried it. Sounds great. Bought it! Love the dynamics. Really does wonders for my Tele. It was between this and the TS-9. The Dyna Drive felt "alive" compared to the T. (and I like the T a lot!). Also picked up a Boss CS-3 compression pedal. The two together are fantastic thru my Fender amp.

  • I don't undertan this pedal! :D

  • the harder you play the higher the drive goes...

  • hi...is it good combination acoustic simulator,dyna drive,compressor sustainer,od distortion...

  • why? hes good!

  • i hate 'jason spencer with world music supply'

    he really pisses me off

  • Andy from pro guitar shop is way better!

  • Ok,proguitarshopdemos beats this but at least this is way better than the gearwire pedal reviews.Gearwire is only good at reviewing amps not pedals and effects!

  • @guitaro69 it is like he is trying to show you how bad the things really are...

  • how would this hold up to a fender ultimate chorus amp?

  • fantastic pedal.

    will buy one.

  • don't bag on the man just because he can play a mean blues lick more than once. Hell, if I could just play some nice blues solos and riffs like that I'd be a one man band by now.

  • better than guitar world. that guy is insane...demos suck...he always must open the pedal...must check every paper in the box...oh my God...allready five minutes passed....and he plays only for one minute...

  • this guy pisses me off

  • do any of y'all know what pedal clapton used in sunshine of your love?

  • I think it was a Vox tonebender on the album

  • Is he gay ?

  • who cares?

  • The guy is good, but he's doing the same blues licks...again...and again...

  • He has more gear than music xD It's like he has tons of stuff to play with but sucks ! lol

  • Why would show off different tones when you're not going to show them to full extent, and only going to play the same pentatonic licks again and again?

This could definitely sound awesome if you could get a style that fits it's tone. It's not blues.

  • this guy is pretty good...just because he not into you kind of music..don't mean he can't play. sounded some hendrix in there. you would not have your wild assed stuff if it wasn't for that.

  • if they did, the pedal would cost more

a better guy would be more expensive

    xD

  • OI guitarsimon1 get a boss metal zone mt2 it haz to mid controls a frequency and just mids and you can get really smooth or haggard sounds out of it.

  • Im looking for a thick, but smooth distortion with plenty of mids available, anyone got any suggestions?

  • try the eddie van halen phase shifter, also check the overdrive/distortion from boss

  • please, i need some help fast, because me b-day is in thext week, and im am going to wish a pedal from my parents, and i rlly want a good grunge pedal, is this any good for that? is there any other better? thx : )

  • What about the Grunge pedal by Boss that's just come out.

It versatile, and cheap too, so you can blag loads of other stuff out of your parents.

  • If you want a good grunge sound, I highly recommend a chorus pedal. Just add some gain from your AMP, and your good to go!

  • too late, but you shouldve gotten a ds1 boss or a big muff. The digitech grunge is junk.

  • Lovely blues pedal.

  • what pedal to play indie rock?

my overdrive pedal doesn't sound like indie.

    help me!!!

  • What amp/guitar setup do you have?

  • vox over the top boost. an AC30 channel in a boost/Od pedal. great stuff

  • using moderate distortion, with lower settings on bass and midgain frequencies.

  • @lipevicious This is the funniest question.

    How do I sound indie?

Fender Jazzmaster through Fender Twin Reverb with an Ibanez Tube Screamer and/or Boss delay pedal.

    Done.

  • @tombuttner how do i sound richie kotzen?

  • @snakeater1810

    practice!

lots 'n lots of practice - and maybe more practice

  • @lipevicious Instead of "Indy Rock" why don't you pick a band that's got a sound you're thinking of and find out what equipment the guitar player uses.

  • @lipevicious Indie means they're independent. They don't have a record label. It is not some type of sound. For shame!

  • @ihatemikestanley no it doesn't, it's also a genre of music. vampire weekend have a record label and they are indie and i imagine its something along the lines of their guitar sound he wants.

  • @BallydoolyHardstyle If they have a record label they are not independent! I think the genre of music you are thinking of is avant-garde. Look it up. Indie = Independent label not Indie =/= Music Genre.

  • @ihatemikestanley Unfortunately you are wrong lol. 'indie' is an actual genre of music. It originally did mean that a band was 'independant', but now it is also used to describe an actual type of music. There are a lot of 'indie' bands in england especially.

  • a good guitar player can do that with his touch and the volume knob, like brian may, he always play dirty, and he uses very well the volume knob of his guitar

  • ... if you're playing on a fairly cranked and powerful tube amp with some decent pickups on your guitar that is! And if not - tadaaa! Boss RN-2 comes into business. I'm seriously considering buying this for my fathers birthday since i can't find a smooth way to "get dynamic" with his setup. He plays a Fender Strat Highway One on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 40-watt tube amp, and whenever lowering the guitar output (when disted), the signal gets too weak to create that fat "crunch" one's looking for.

  • great idea but when is someone gonna need this

  • It's mostly for using with solid state amps....mostly.

  • @Secondnature4 I have one that I use as a sort of boost. I love it because I do a lot of subtle dynamic builds that I wouldn't be able to do properly by stomping on a distortion pedal.

  • i always use the dyna when i play blues or even rock. and i love it!

  • i love the hell out of this pedal

  • it never sounds like that when u take it home

  • i think thats the best i've ever heard that pedal sound

  • zakk wylde mxr or boss dn2?????????????

  • DS-1

  • i think the guy of billy talent uses this a lot.

  • i bought this pedal in a rush, i took it back in a rush, utter bollox

  • i bought the metal zone boss pedal in a rush, im shredding with it in a rush.

  • hahahahaha

  • id imagine that lagoto would be hard lol

  • HI THIS IS JASON SPENCER WITH WORLD MUSIC SUPPLY :o

  • THE DYNA DRIVE PEDAL SUX DONT GET IT

  • That pedal seems pretty sick. Havn't played one yet, what do you mean it sucks?

  • probly sounds bad lol

  • yeah, get the bb-2 or digitech tone driver hahaha

  • yeah!!, it's cool playing the guitar

  • best comment of all time

  • Yes, it is his passion for music
