@himars2004 It rode so harsh that it never really saw too much dirt time. Got a lot of attention though, you don't see a long travel 73 Chevy 3/4 ton too often lol.
@32479612391 Had to fab up mostly everything since we pretty much put a 1/2 ton kit onto a 3/4 ton frame, upper and lower control arm brackets were modified 1/2 tons, baljoints were 3/4 ton which required cutting and boxing in the balljoint openings on the arms.
Sick truck! I'm looking for a long travel kit for my 91 3/4 ton with no luck. How did you make the Fab kit work on yours? Any tips you could offer would really be appreciated!!!
Did you use deaver rear springs?, and what kind of front steering did you use i saw the steering box but it looked like rack and pinion steering ends?
bull shit... unless the 2wd was a chevy then i can understand... we pulled my friends ford 3/4 ton out pf a bug mud puddle when his has a 4" lift and got stuck... my dad can pull through that same mudhole in reverse 2wd
Once you get past the early 70's, these 454s dropped dramatically in HP. Doing good to get just over 300 stock. HHowever, it is extremely easy to get 400 plus HP out of them
with a little tweaking. Stock...low compression and low HP thanks to big insurance....bunch of pricks I say. I like this truck, looks fun to thrash.
if its the original 454 from the early 70's and it doesnt have that many miles on it, its stock is 450 HP, i used to have a 1981 dually with a stock 454 and even when im pulling a trailer with a car on it, i still whoop little V6's around me lol
the only nice thing about it is those tires...too bad is 3/4 ton cant do shit with that heavy tractor and that engine sounds like your flusing the toilet..but tell the guy in front of your house ill give him 4000 for pink 56 chevy
I buy trucks like that for $200 bucks all day long,yes,..with big blocks,etc...your out of your mind to want $4000. plus it's a 2wd,...2wd's hold no value
You're so full of shit saying you buy them like that all day long for $200. A 2 wheel drive truck with a big block holds plenty of value. Go back in the bathroom with your Victoria Secret catalog and pound some sense into yourself.
I really do, of course I have to restore them. I have a huge collection of GM 4x4trucks, duallys/crewcabs/blazers from 72-87, with Dana 60/44fronts,.454's 350's,400's,..every NP205/NP203/208 GM combination. I just found alot of great deals over the years. I don't care if you believe me or not. The bottom line, is that people want to get rid of this shit for little or nothing!
i owned a pavement princess once then dumped a can of man in it lol jk

Did you get your asking price?
I have the exact same truck. Check my channel.
My tires have a negative pitch. Yours look perfect. I want to correct that, I think it might be the ball joint.
Great vid!

We don't really "mud" in California. We drive 80 mph+ through the desert.

Engine sounded a little weak. Maybe 8:1 ratio pistons? Bump that thing to 11 or 12 to 1 then you got a bad boy. Right now you got nothing.......

With built drivetrains and long travel suspension setups? The drivetrain isn't a stock junkyard setup.
