ok, wtf, i saw them awith kiss hoping they would sound good, but i always thought the lead signer was a girl, but at the concert it was a black haired guy who liked to scream and dance ariund like an idiot with his shirt off, was he the lead signer of the envy? bc they were supposed to preform but never did, nonetheless, i was very dissapointed with their perfomeance and left me with the biggest headache ever, and i mean tht in the worst way possible.

Scuzzy pete, you are a shmuck. Since when is 80's rock a genre of music. All these bands you mention are distinct bands with different styles. You want a band to sound like Motley Crue and Metallica! Metallica is fucking thrash metal and Motley Crue was hair metal! I don't know about warrant, but Dokken has more musical integrity than you'll ever hope to have, which is why they are still around and are loved by many.

Bad City chokes major D. It seems like they're trying to bring back 80's rock, but this shit doesn't sound like any of the good bands from the 80's such as Metallica and Motley Crue. Great band. I saw them open for Slash a couple of months ago, and I didn't know who they were at the time. Usually I dread opening acts, but when these guys went on I amost wished they were the headliners!

No. "Thee Armada" was NOT originally a pop punk band. That happened after they became more "mainstream" in an attempt to appeal to a younger generation. The ORIGINAL Thee Armada was amazing. And similar to what he is doing in Bad City.

I had not only the pleasure of seeing these guys open for Smashing Pumpkins in Reno, NV, but I also ran into them after the show at a small bar. My cousin and I had a beer with them and talked for a while and I have to say, they're great guys. I bought their album at the concert and I've played the hell out of it. Awesome stuff, great to hear music that hearkens back to the days of the hair bands of the Eighties. Bad City rocks!

I saw these guys live as well - not by choice. they are what's wrong w/ the music biz. a put together band in my opinion. One guitarist was an 'emo' want to be. the other one dressed like he was apart of the Ramones. The bassist dressed like Kid rock (wife beater etc..) and the singer....not sure what this androgynous it was doing..but it was a mix of what some 'stereotypical' 80's front man should be, minus the talent. bottom line F A K E and lame. could they play? yes, good musicians.

@Stickybunss If you're gonna insult someone, and call them a retard through typing, at least learn how to fucking type, retard! I am a musician, and you're right, I would not turn it down. With that being said, I wouldn't change my whole image and style for money just because a major company offers me a deal to do so and become famous. Think about it, if one label has recognized you, what makes you think another one will not?

@juspat the whole band minus the singer had been in a band together previously, and they met each other in college. Just because they don't have the same style means they were put together by a label? This band is what's good about the music industry.

I saw these guys live as well - not by choice. they are what's wrong w/ the music biz. a put together band in my opinion. One guitarist was an 'emo' want to be. the other one dressed like he was apart of the Ramones. The bassist dressed like Kid rock (wife beater etc..) and the singer....not sure what this androgynous it was doing..but it was a mix of what some 'stereotypical' 80's front man should be, minus the talent. bottom line F A K E and lame. could they play? yes, good musicians.

That's horrid have you ever seen the Sex Pistols play back in the day, heck even Queen or Thin Lizzy or even Van Halen in the early days when a fresh DLR bumped in from the Red Ball Jetts?
The most influences they have, the better the music, save the shitty 90s era.

I feel so lucky that I got to see them in there first live concert ever, when they came down here and opened for "Theory of a Deadman." That concert was awesome!
