Austin Idol was a great wrestler and a big star.He was aggressive and would beat the crap out of his opponents.Did Vince ever offer him a fat contact?

I wonder why nobody has the jerry lawler match against the iron sheik when the sheik won the title and then at the end of the match jimmy hart ran in the ring and started hitting lawler with fast punches that was funny I think it was in 1981.

I was 12 yrs old at this time. I was so mad no one could talk about idol or rich around me in school. I also remember lawler's comeback. Tommy rich was in a match and lawler posed as an old lady and beated the snot out of tommy rich. lawler's hair cut kind of resembles his style today.

yeah i was there,man i was so mad as a kid after this match. i think the king missed like 3 months or more after this. classic. i also remember everytime idol wrestled n memphis on monday there would be this old lady on the front row that would give him her cane, she had to be about 80

One of the greatest angles in pro wrestling. Classic!!! You had to grow up watching Memphis wrestling on Sat mornings to appreciate it. This is when wrestling was wrestling.

From what I heard about this match, Idol and Rich didn't leave the arena until 2 or 3 AM, under police escort. You don't see THAT anymore.
