  • I have ridiculously fine hair and for some reason I have crazy split ends on my bottom layers nearest to my neck. I very rarely use heat products and for as much as I cut off the split ends I always get new ones what should I do!?

  • Facebook won't let me add you! It says you have reached the maximum amount of friends...?

  • You're so pretty...I kind of hate you. Lol

  • Really important! I've been trying to grow my hair out but I heard that if you don't get a trim like every 6-8 weeks it won't grow! Is that true? Also, how long did it take you to grow your hair to that length? It is absolutely stunning! <33

  • Carol's Daughter contains sulfate bi-products look Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate.

  • You are so beautiful that u look like a barbie... U don't look real ... Jijiji

  • my mum has really nice thick hair and its strong even though she dyes it all the time the hairdresser said its the best shes ever seen someone that dyes their hairs hair. but my dad shaves his off and my mum cuts hers really short so i dont know if its in my genetics or not to have long hair,

  • I know that you know but....... i want to say you!!! YOU'RE ARE ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS GURL!!! hahah

  • Hi! My name is Vlada, I`m your subscriber! Tell me please what music you used in that video? Thank you!

  • I used to have very thick n a lot hair until 24 years old. Genetically our family has alot n thick hair. Mines is thin now I'm not sure if it's because I've dyed n bleach my hair since 15 or that I wash my hair like 4 times with each shampoo n I have 3 to 4 different shampoos n I used them all at the same time? N my hair falls like crazy!!

  • @mini0001 I add volume to my hair by blow drying it upside down, and ive got thick bra strap length hair :)

  • What do you mean our hair is already dead?

  • @PinkLilyGarden Its just another common myth. your hair isnt already dead, when its at the point of splitting on the ends and/or breaking off is when your hair is dead. :)

  • Thank you so much for this video. Your beautiful as well!! :)

  • Hi there, I have really long hair (not as long as yours, but still pretty long), and my problem is, I feel like the length weights my hair down and I dont have as much volume at the crown as I would like. Do you have any product suggestions to add volume? I'd rather not back-comb or heat style it, because I know that's unhealthy, but is there anything else I can do or use to add volume? thanks!!

  • can you please list the lip product your wearing in the video? your gorgeous btw xoxo

  • guys you should all really try a rosemary rinse your hair will thank you!!i've been trying it for a month and my hair has grown about 2 inches!!!:):)...but this is for brunnets only because ur hair will grow in darker!!!

  • @princesspink2352 im not a brunette im a redhead but ive been doing this for years. it wont make your hair grow darker unless you use organic undried rosemary.

  • What size curling iron did u use for your hair in this vid?? You're very pretty :)

  • @sweetpyramidgirl Burts Bees shampoos don't contain sulfate..and it smells soooo good...(get the pomegranate one)

  • please give examples of sulfate free shampoos and also if sulfate goes under other names

  • @sweetpyramidgirl L'oreal and organix make sulfate free shampoos :)

  • Hi, I'm trying to grow out my hair really long :] but my problem is that it's not that thick and I find that it sheds a lot. I washed my hair everyday because my hair would get so oily though now I'll try to not wash it as much. I just realized my shampoo has sulfate in it so is there any shampoo that you recommend that doesn't have any sulfate and will help me grow thicker hair?

  • @dianela272 check out "Deva curl" google em!!

  • My hair is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay thicker and more shine with sulfate free shampoo

  • love youuuu

  • @jacobs1g yeah

  • woah

  • very beautiful! you're truly beautiful! what's your horoscope sign by the way? xxx

  • it doesn't die after 3 years but it does stop growing when it gets to it's natural length . some people can have really long hair but some people can't . I'm in cosmo school & when your hair gets to it's natural length it does fall out & starts over . so the girl was some what right .

  • The girl in the line is a hater

  • is baby shampoo good for your hair? because i heard its more gentle on your hair!

  • so happy i found you! I love having long hair, not alot of ppl enjoy it and cherish it so sometimes i feel like i dont know how to keep it looking beautiful! I am guilty of shampooing and blow drying everyday and using a curling iron on HIGH most days. I will make a pledge right now to stop using it on high, air dry when i can, and shampoo less. I am gonna find sulfate free shampoo and a heat protector. I hate using products, but if i'm gonna use tools i guess i have to. :D thanks again!

  • Hi, thanks for your videos - you're very beautiful in character too. Wanted to ask you a question. I often have the problem of already having a leave in conditioner (like cocnut oil spray) in my hair, when I later need to use a heat product. Then I wonder, would the hot tool burn the leave in conditioner despite my heat protection? In response to this, I never use hot tools, but once a year on an important day, I would like to. Does it burn? xxx

  • U look just like the indian actress named bipasha basu!

  • Deff does not just die after 3 years... my mothers hair is down to her ankles... lol

  • that lipstick is soooo pretty! And looks great on you too! I couldn't help but stare at your lips because of that lol! don't mean to be a creep or anything :P lmao))

  • How do you sleep with such long hair?? lol

  • Dez, I have natural curly hair they form coils, Super curly!, I don't like when I straighten my hair or blow dry or anything, I loove my hair! but my hair is super long, and I need to get a haircut because since my hair is loong I get a lot of split ends! , do you suggest that I get a hai rcut and add some Carol's daughter product just so my hair looks more vibrant? noit sure if they have that here in toronto.

  • what lip color are u wearing??? love it!

  • @ari5016 just about to ask the same thing!!!

  • Can you use Carol's Daughter on any hair type?

  • @mizskim

Yep, good for all hair types. They specialize in girls with curly hair too, mine is bone straight and I love it still.

  • Dear Dez, my hair are too long because I havent found a proper hairsaloon. I just trim them when I can. I havent trimed them since last August and on Tuesday Im going to a new place to trim my hair. If I like it I might change my hair color to a coopery red.

  • I don't know if you've noticed this but you blink a lot in your videos.

  • Love love love your videos! I went sulfate free a while ago but it's hard because I live in France and there aren't a lot of brands that sell sulfate free shampoos. Some organic brands do so that's what I use. I also use coconut oil, shea butter, or any organic oil that I massage through my ends before I wash it. It keeps my hair soft and nourished. You give really good advice!

ps: can you please tell me what blush you were wearing in this vid? It is so pretty, and you're gorgeous, as always!

  • This video helped a lot! I used to have LONG and THICK hair but now my hair is really thin I've lost a lot of hair I mean A LOT!! I been stressing out and I have panic attacks taking those pills kinda helps but I'll try your advice

    With salt

  • <3 IT... i HATE MY HAIR!! I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING FROM NOT WASHING IT EVERYDAY TO NOT PUTTING ANYTHING ON IT...NO STRAIGHTENIN IT NOR CURLING IT ETC. I use the panteene curls to straight shampoo (i have straight hair) any recomendations for it?? anything will help Thanx

  • Flinstone vitamins all the wayyyy!!!

  • I love your advice. Always straight to the point and great explanations! You're gorgeous. Keep them coming! Xoxo

  • being mexican/salvadorean women in my family have always said that braiding your hair and keeping it like that while you sleep will help it grow. is there any truth to that?

  • @56helterskelter

It doesn't help it grow, but it does prevent breakage. Soft loose braids are best when your sleeping, it also keeps your hair from getting tangled.

  • thanks for this video. very helpful

  • what kind of face shape would you say u have?

  • Dear, I can feel SO related to you!!! My hair was always my pride! It's really long and thick. I ALWAYS got compliments wherever I go about my hair even without styling it.

SO the other day I went to an unknown hairdresser to cut the ends a little and to give a light reshape of outgrown layers.

What she did - she DID NOT EVEN WASH MY HAIR - just spritzed tiny amount of water and started chopping all around!! I was waiting for it to grow, it did BUT it's still looks awful! I hate my image now:((

  • hey dez, i live in dubai and i need to wash my hair every two days, the weather is just horrible and there is so much pollution.. basically my hair does not feel right..any suggestions? like can i wash my hair everyday without the shampoo? thanksxx

  • could you do a video on diet and vitamins etc? love your videos! they always make me excited and happy :)

  • Thanks for the video! you are so pretty! I have never had hair past clevage length, want it long so trying everything! xx

  • are their sulfate free anti-dandruff shamppos or conditioners that u know of? i heard it was good to use 1 once a week

  • I have healthy hair and it reaches my hips! :)

  • Wow..those girl's sounded jealous lol my hair is getting longer and longer but it's curly (so it's been really hard for me to find ways to take care of it w/natural stuff)

i use coconut oil only and it's helped with my dandruff and state of health (i used to be a pantene user but hair wasn't getting better anymore) :) hopefully i won't use shampoo and conditioner anymore

you gave me good tips, thank you!!

p.s. i'm wondering if you would be willing to try coconut oil ? :)

  • Hey lovelyy! Amazing video, I have a few questions tough.. Leave in conditioners, do they contain silicones? And have you ever heard of the split ender?

Please let me know.. Love, Sophia!

  • Can you do a hair tutorial? What kind of curling iron/size did you use? Looks super pretty

  • @virgoesque

I have a tutorial already for how I did this, it's really easy too ; ) It's the only hair tutorial I've done so far, but I'll probably do more. check it out, it's listed on my channel ; )

  • Dez <3 ,

I was wondering if you know of some good but resonably priced sulfate-free shampoos?

  • @xxmelinaax3 I'll try to test some out soon. I really like the ones by Enjoy, solo nice. Wen is very popular too and is reasonably priced. I also hear that Alba and Burts Bee's both make goos ones too.

  • Thanks for doing this video, love your hair and makeup so pretty, I have a question, I try to not wash my hair everyday so that I won't strip my hair of it's natural oils, but even though my hair is clean the top gets oily and greasy I hate that, do you have any recommendations on how to prevent this? Thanks Dez :)

  • @Dodgerchick55

Try using a dry shampoo in between washes, that will help a lot. I'm about to start testing one out right now, I'll do a video on it when I'm done ; )

  • i luvvvv ur makeup in this vid Dez, and the video is def. helpful, luvved the animated anecdote in the beginning, much luv<3

  • @shasheewind

Thanks! I thought it would be a fun intro ; )

  • question?????? how long did it take to grow your hair that long give or take?

  • This was helpful. Thank You.

  • which leave in conditioner do u use?

  • @Emii

I use the one by Hair Gear, its all natural and really light on my hair.

  • too much mu for such a stunning face

  • Is there any alternatives to carol's daughter... They are pricey!!

    Thanks

  • @EMejia83

I'll start testing some out & report what I think later on : )

  • Hi Dez, I have to admit I'm the kind of people that washes her hair every day or every other day but I can't help it. It gets really oily and it looks kinda dirty.

  • @Caroline1204

Try using dry shampoo's in between washings. I'm about to start testing one out right now, I'll do a video about it.

  • thank you !! can't wait for part 2 !

  • @TheLunaPulvia

    You're welcome honey, it's uploading right now ; )

  • Really informative, thanks :)

  • @leannewoodfull

    You're very welcome ; )

  • ur hair looks really nice with waves in ut u should wear it like that all the time

  • @24morningstar

Thank you! I think so too, I hadn't done it in awhile, almost forgot how much I liked it ; )

  • Can you tell me one of the sulfate shampoos that are popular and you see in a lot of stores in all of the world?

  • @GuidetteExpert

SUlfate free shampoo's are still catching on, most people don't use them...yet. I'm going to start testing different ons out, so that I can help give everyone more options to choose from.

  • Can you pleas tell us about sulfate free shampoo's

  • @GuidetteExpert

I did a video on sulfate free shampoo's, you can check it out if you're interested ; )

  • I luuuuv hair videos!! aaa

  • @GuidetteExpert

    Thanks!

  • So true, so true! I am not only sulfate-free, but silicone-free. Silicones 'coat' the problem (no pun intended (; ). I don't want the illusion of hydrated and soft hair, I want soft hair. I live in NYC, and b/c of the humidity, I spray my hair w/ glycerine+H2O. I get the frizzies, but my hair is UBER SOFT b/c it is engorged w/ H2O. I'm black, with natural hair, and all of your tips are applicable to me as well... esp. the heat tip. 350 is my MAX!

  • @ade52286

Sounds like you have beautiful hair girly! I'm glad you like my tips and that you already take good care of your hair. Smart cookie ; )

  • Acctualy, i used to wash my hair every other day (sometimes longer) and it was horrible. it looked AND felt disgusting. it was all stiff and stuff. and i thought that my hair was naturaly that gross or something. (this went on for about 1 year, maybe longer). till a while ago i starded washing my hair everyday, and now its suuper soft and shiny! its almost perfect now. (and i always switch up products and brands) So i think its about what type of hair you have. i have long and thick

  • @VanessaWieler

That could also be because of the shampoo and conditioner your using, along with any styling products you put in your hair. Its best to use the least amount of products as possible, to avoid hair getting oily and messy. I've never used a lot of products in my hair, but it did get used to get oily quickly. Once I changed my shampoo, that stopped happening and now my hair is normal rather than oily. If you wash it everyday, it won't be oily but eventually it will get dry & break.

  • Oh! One other question haha, this must sound so dumb because it's so simple! But I have heard from so many people that there's actually a specific way your supposed to wash your hair, you know like shampoo JUST the roots, no further than like jaw height or something & condition just the ends. Is that true? When I wash my hair I always shampoo it from root to tip & condition it from root to tip. I'm guessing that's not good? Haha. Thanks again !

  • @Jessicamarieee01

Yep, I only use shampoo on my scalp and don't go past my ears. Then I only only condition my below my ears and to the ends. It keeps my hair from getting stripped of moisture and my hair from being weighed down up top.

  • another amazing video Dez, love your channel you always inspire me!love ya doll xxx

  • @BrownSugarBombshell

Thank you girly, I'm happy to help!

  • hey you look amazing how old r u?

  • Hey Dez,

I have a few questions for you(: I just watched your sulfate free hair products video & I looked up carols daughter & they are QUITE pricey. Is there another brand that you can recommend that works just as well for a cheaper price? Also have you heard of the it's a 10 leave in conditioner? Have you ever tried it? If so what do you think about it? I've been looking for an AMAZING leave in conditioner. Any recommendations ? Thanks in advance girl(:

  • @Jessicamarieee01

Wen is a good brand as well & is more affordable. I used Enjoy shampoo for years & while its not cheap, you can get a lot more product for your money. I hear Burts Bees has a good one and so does Alba.

  • OMG You are soooo gorgeous!! What lipstick are you wearing? Love!!!

  • @housewifeofSC

Thank you! I'm wearing the color Antwerp by NYX.

  • can't wait for part two :D

  • @kamkim2011

    Thank you!!! <3

  • in your hair talk part 2 can you go over some good leave in conditioners and dry shampoos? guide in the way of budget friendly sulfate free?? thumbs up so she can see this please!!!

  • @felilovesg

I'm already uploading part 2 right now, I filmed it at the same time as this one. But on part 3 or just another hair video I'll go over dry shampoos and leave in conditioners I like ; )

  • @DeziredBeauty sounds great, we really appreciate you!

  • ...you look like a really pretty doll! ❤

  • @vikmoney

    Thanks ; )

  • Omg Dez I think you are wealth of knowledge & a very sweet person... I was wounding ...where do you get your hair cuts... It looks amazing With your long layers :)

  • @mamapujia

Thank you girly ; ) I normally get my hair cut at either the Andy LaCompte Salon or Neil George Salon. I only go to people that specialize in long hair. In my part 2 to this video I discuss haircuts. I had a bad experience a few months ago when I got a trim by someone new when my stylists were booked up....never again! lol

  • I love you, you are very beautiful!!! :)

  • @OSCARSSK11

    Thank you!!

  • O: you look amazing in this video well in every video I'm still captive by your beauty also interesting story

  • @napasaca707

    Thank you ; ) ; )

  • This video was VERY helpful. Thank you :)

  • @loveturkiye

    You're welcome! I'm uploading the 2nd part right now ; )

  • My hair has not been growing past a certain length. I consider myself a healthy and active person... is there any other reason ? Also what is a good moisturizing conditioner, I heard that too much protein based conditioners break the hair. It may mend it for time being but too much of the protein, I hear is bad... can you shine some light? thanks! <3

  • @unique5678

I think if it's not growing past a certain length, it could very well be genetic. It's also true that too much protein based products can damage your hair and make it dull and brittle. I would try one that has natural essential oils with mor organic ingredients. They tend to moisturize the hair better. I really like using organic cold pressed coconut oil in my hair, makes my hair feel & smell amazing. Good for your skin too!

  • Your hair is beautiful.

  • @MsMendoza88

    Thank you!

  • I love you!!!! You're so gorgeous!

  • @FromYourPrincess

    Thank you sweetheart!!

  • This is THE video that everyone should see to learn something true and wise about hair care! I use organic products since last year and my hair changed so much!

Anyway many people still ignore what's inside their shampoos & products in general... GO GREEN and start reading the ingredients label!!!! In this way you can have beautiful skin &hair...don't put petrolatum or silicones on you!!!

    Love u Dez :)

  • @Mkasia5

Thanks! Yes, I've become obsessed with reading the ingredients label on everything now. People would be so surprised on what's used in many popular products. Anything I've ever used that's been organic has ALWAYS been waaaaay better than anything that's not. Companies are just being cheap & saving money by using synthetic ingredients. They only damage the hair and then mask it with fillers.

  • You are so proffessional! You always have great tips that noone else talks about and they are so helpful! I love your vids! You are one of my favourite make up gurus! I think that you should be a model because you have one of the most beautiful faces that i have ever seen! Your features are amazing!! Keep up the good work! Hugs/Mona

  • @MonaMonish

Thank you!! I'm happy you like the type of vids I do, I try to be as detailed as possible about these topics.

Thanks so much for the love honey. I'm going to be filming fashion vids next month, so even though i don't want to be a professional model, I'll be one just for you guys ; )

  • thanks for another awesome video Dez!!! Have you considered modeling??? u r gorgeous!!!!!!

  • @whosbadmjsbad1

You're welcome! Nope, no modeling for me, I might do some on the side in the future. It's just not really my passion though ; )

  • @DeziredBeauty that response makes me like you even more!!!!!!!!!!!! go dez! btw, i loved that intro :) (the music)

  • i love all of your videos but do you do your camera lighting on purpose? why is it so shiny?! is that on purpose?! please let me know O_O

  • @ThingsNatSays

Thank you! In my old vids it wasn't on purpose, just a bad camera and limited lighting. I have a lighting kit now, I don't see it being shiny though. But definitely much brighter and clearer ; )

  • @DeziredBeauty thank you :)

  • I love the new intro Dez! Thanks for tips. = )

  • @cjbgirl25

    Thanks! You're welcome ; )

  • can you tell me which song you played in the background , please???????

... i dont mean the intro

  • @Fatuma18

It's called "Stars" by JohnJulian. They are friends of mine and the song isn't on Itunes yet, but it will be ; )

  • I swim 4x a week in a pool. Any advice for me? :/ Please respond

  • @thepeacefrog90

Make sure to wet your hair before you get in the pool and then put a lot of conditioner in your hair. This will prevent more chlorine from absorbing into your hair. Then if you can, wear a swimming cap. Then after every swim you need to use a shampoo made for swimmers, remove all the chlorine. ALOE RID by Nexxus and Mastey Sol Filtre Dual Protection Swimmer's Shield are a couple of good ones.

  • @Sugarrsweet1

    Yep!

  • i do have a lot of hair, but it has a very thin texture so that it feels thin without any volume.

since it is also frizzy due to my natural waves/curls and because i want to grow it out, i need to condition it regularly. but when i deep-condition it, it gets even more flat. another reason why i really need conditioner is, that my hair is super dry (have to wash it once/twice a week) and i get split ends like hell.

but like i said (deep)conditioners feel always too heavy.

    please help :(

    kiss <3

  • @TheKatieSmile

I wouldn't use a heavy deep conditioner on you, something light and only on the ends. Try organic cold pressed coconut oil as a treatment, its the best. Just don't use too much and it shouldn't make it flat. I never put conditioner on my scalp, as thats what usually causes hair to get flat. If your hair is dry, then you definitely need to use a sulfate free shampoo! Do you heat style it often?

  • @DeziredBeauty

i do use a flat iron like one (sometimes two) times a week, and i always use a heat protectant, but there i have to also be careful, cause too much product of whatever (leave in stuff, heatprotectant etc) is again too heavy.

i will definitely look for a sulfate free shampoo and for the coconut oil, (if i find some, i live in germany and here you are often just abled to get average drugstore products -.-) but that sounds great.

thank you so much dez :)

  • @TheKatieSmile

Yea you don't really need to use too much product on your hair, keeping it light is best.

Let me know how the sulfate free shampoo works for you. There's a lot out there now, so you might have to try a few to find one that's best for you. ; )

  • you are such an inspiration, i appreciate this video and it was really helpful! & you are such a beautiful woman all around :)

  • @TheRondellJ

Thank you very much ; )

  • Being Native American and Mexican I have always known at LEAST one girl who has had hair to her knees, lol, and the rest of us down our back. I just always thought "your hair grows." plainly, lol. But as Ive gotten older I have learned more and more about how to do the best I can to get the most out of my hair, thanks to you as well as other youtube channels :) HAPPY HAIR GROWTH LADIES ;) and thx Dez <333

  • @lovewillkillusall

Lol, that's so true! I think I owe my hair health to all my mixed heritages big time, especially Native American! My mom is in her 50's and her is as long as mine and its SO thick and healthy too! I'm happy you liked the vid ; )

  • Thanks for the tipps. I'm going to try to find a not too expensive sulfatefree shampoo now :)

but I think you forgot mentioning how and how offten to cut the hair?

  • @Beccination

    You're welcome!

In part two I talk about hair cuts, it's uploading right now. In part 3 I'll discuss it further.

  • Great video!

  • @premierereviews

    Thank you!

  • I think I fell in love. Great song for the intro. Que Cera You look beautiful as always :)

  • @goodFinMusic

Thank you! That's awesome you know that song ; )

  • I go running every day which means that I have to wash my hair every day :-( There is no way I could go to work with my hair not washed after running. How do you "sporty" guys do it? .-)

  • @darjamarkova

I understand how you feel, I was a dancer most of my life and spent hours a day sweating. Sometimes it's unavoidable. Try using a sulfate free shampoo instead then, that will at least benefit your hair health. Also dry shampoos have come a long way over the years, they are an athletes best friend.

  • What color of lipstick are you wearing???

  • @yesicha19

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

  • I hope my hair grows with these tips =)

  • Its so true even with chemo patients it take long for hair to grow its depends on gentics
