  • Mike I purchased your book! Thanks for all you do.

  • You are welcome. Thank you for your support!

  • Your vids are great - thank you so much for sharing. Please can you help? I want to show the contents in a range of cells rather than the formulae. F2 then F9 works on single cells, but is there an easy way of working on a range/whole sheet without losing formatting? Thx and Happy New Year!

  • 80 + hours a week at work. No time right now. Try:

  • Hi there am an EMBA student who's a graphics designer master degree, yesterday i watched a lot of videos of yours.i want to send you some (data) on email, cuz am totally lost in this,

  • I got lost early, because I don't know how to get to the "All" view. I'm on Mac OS X with either Firefox or Safari. Looked at my YouTube Account Settings and everywhere else to find some kind of view preferences but couldn't. Can anyone help?

  • I do not know how to use a Mac. Sorry.

  • @ExcelIsFun nevermind, what I needed to do was go to your subscription page to see the file download link. You never said go to the subscription page, but it WAS right there on the screen of the video.

  • hello sir! i've posted a query on mrexcel! i hope you can answer it. thanks!

  • Please send me the link. Send by excelisfun YouTube e-mail. Then I will take a look.

  • Professor, After watching your videos, I have a question about data display. I really want to check my understanding. Am I correctt that bar charts can be used for nominal , oridnal, discrete, and categorical data. Can it also be used for continuous data? I know historgram is the graph of choice for continuous, but can a bar chart be used? Thanks for your great videos.

  • Sure, but just as with a Histogram, when you make the Bar Chart (horizontal bars) be sure to change the "gap width" to zero. That is, if you have continuous categories.

  • i seriously admit that ur the best ..

not all can communicate like u and ur pointing of what not to do ...that is amazing ...superb sir .

  • I am glad that the videos help!!

  • These are so great! I will confess, I've been looking for things like publisherisfun and accessisfun, do you have anything regarding other programs or have any suggestions?

  • Yes, search for "Access by Crystal". She makes great Access videos at YouTube.

  • Watch this video and it shows how!

  • You are awsome. Thank you so much. One of your tricks just gave me a hint how to solve a problem I have been thinking of since two Month.

Enjoying all your vids .... one after an other.

  • I am glad that the videos help!

  • I cannot find your Excel Magic Trick #23 and 24. Where can I find them?

  • Wow!!! this Chanel is probably the best resource on the web that I've ever come across! If the Internet was invented for nothing else but this YouTube Chanel - Not only was all the financing that went into this industry worth it - I'd venture to say that Even the Internet bust of 2000 was well worth it!!!! ROCK ON!

  • Cool! I am glad that you like it!

  • Hi have a question I am trying to create a dispatch log, for EMS how do I get a dispatch sheet to automatically generate a series of Run sequence numbers

  • I do not know. But no problem. THE best Excel site for asking questions is:

    mrexcel..com/forum

  • This Senior Citizen is very pleased to have found your "You Tube site and videos". Makes understanding much easier than just reading the books. Thank you very much.

  • You are welcome!

  • I spent all yesterday watching these videos. Very good stuff.

What i'm looking to do the following...

I have a list of 2000 names and their locations. i need a "finder" where the user can type in a name or part of a name and have a list of associated names pop up in a window with their locations.

So if there are 10 names that have WOLF in the name it would create a list of just those names.

    got any ideas?

  • Search for "excelisfun", then go to the channel, then click on Playlists, then look through the playlist for "Extracting Records". You will see many methods to accomplish this.

  • you are great thanks very much

  • your explanations are crystal clear ! thanks to you now i'm able to use excel properly. do u have any videos for access or vba?

  • I am glad that the videos help. I have no Access or VBA. For Access, try:

    LearnAccessByCrystal YouTube account.

  • Hi Mike. Too bad you disabled the like feature I am certain you will get the highest marks of any channel. You have saved many of business student careers. Absolutely love you and have told everyone I know about your tutorials.

    Thanks, Phoebe

  • Just this video has the Like turned off. All 1250 other videos I have posted you can hit Like!!

    Thanks for hitting Like!!

  • Thanks for the reference. I also want to thank you for these excellent resources!! I am an older student, and these videos helped me earn an "A" in a Business statistics class, and before I found them, I was sure I would fail. I have also referred several friends and even a couple of department directors in my field. This is a great resource for these older workers, who never learned Excel in school, but their jobs are now requiring advance Excel knowledge. Thanks!

  • You are welcome! To get up to speed, watch the Excel Basics playlist (23 videos) then the Highline Excel Class playlist (59 videos).

  • Do you have a video on either Chi-Square, ANOVA, or Pearson correlation?

  • Try this other YouTuibe site:

    bionicturtledotcom

  • Thx u so much Mike, cool videos, really good explanations, all what I need to improve my excel capabilities.!!!

    Greetings from Chile man!!!!!!

  • You are welcome!

  • Hi Mike,

First off thanks so much for putting these all together. These videos have been a huge help for me, and im sure for many others.

One thing though. . .is something wrong with the your college website server? When I follow the link to your college website to download the workbooks I get a server error message.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for letting me know about the broken link. I fixed it - try it again.

  • Just a quick question....up to what point of your videos would you recommend I watch such that I would be reasonably prepared for the Excel MOS 2007? or, are there any playlists that you recommend I watch?

  • I have no idea what is in a " Excel MOS 2007" test. However, to be able to dominate any Test, watch the Excel Basics playlist, then the Highline Excel Class playlist. With those you get all the foundation you need to do anything except VBA programming.

  • Thanks Mike. Sorry I should have clarified..MOS - "microsoft office specialist" certification.

  • No I am sorry that I don't know. But I don't know about any of those certifications.

If I were giving the tests, I would test the amount of fun you had during the test, the higher the fun, the higher your score!

  • Mike, I saw you do something in a video once and I can't remember how you did it. When you embed an excel table as an array (via F9 in the formula bar) into a vlookup table, I saw you do the reverse of that, i.e. turn an array into a table. I use the embed trick all the time, but I have forgotten how to extract my table out. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the great work, by the way. The videos are awesome. Is your book out yet? Thanks for any guidance you can offer. -Michael

  • The reverse is when you have the array constant and you want the values in the cells: 1) Copy the array constant, 2) highlight cells with correct rows and columns, F2 to put in edit mode, 3) Ctrl + V (paste), 4) Ctrl + Shift + Enter, 5) copy - paste Special - Values.

The book is horribly delayed. I don't know when it will be out. I will make a video about it in about a week. :(

  • How can we do a v lookup with multiple criteria

  • Try these video titles:

Excel Magic Trick 398: VLOOKUP with Two Lookup Values (IFERROR function also) 2 lookup values

    or

Excel Magic Trick # 158: VLOOKUP w 2 Variables As Criteria

    or

Excel Magic Trick 488: VLOOKUP with 2 Lookup Values Return Table of Values & Track Down Errors

    or

Excel Magic Trick 606: INDEX & MATCH Two Lookup Values

  • Awsomew work dude........!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Mike - Your YouTube page is fantastic. I'm a visual and auditory learner and just reading some of the examples in a book wasn't helping a great deal. This is just like being in the classroom, sans the need to get dressed! As a long-time Excel user I wish I had known about your site earlier, but I'm thrilled to have finally found it. It has proven to be of immense help to me as I've recently worked on a complex spreadsheet.

  • I am glad that it helps! That is why I put it out here!

  • I tried to use "=randbetween(1,39)" and copied it to five more adjacent cells to mimic the California State Lottery terminal when I buy Fantasy 5 and I opted for a QuickPick. Unfortunately, the "randbetween" operates individually so when I press F9, I may get a good combination of different numbers or I get duplicates. The question is, is there a way to remove the duplicates by adding extra command to look for duplicates? Thanks!!!

  • Search for and watch this video:

Excel Magic Trick 373: Randomize with No Repeats (Numbers or Words)

  • I'm a summer intern right now and my boss tasked me to do make a graph that summarized our annual spending and a bunch of other stuff. I didn't know how to do any of it and I was about to freak out, but with the power of google (which helped me find you) and excelisfun, I was able to do what he requested and more by using Vlookups and Data Validation. You totally saved my butt and got me a ton of brownie points from my boss. He was really impressed. Thanks!!!

  • You are welcome!

The truth is: If you know Excel you can get a job, keep a job, get promoted quickly. If you don't know Excel, be prepared to be expendable.

  • Hi! Thank you so very much for all this material. It is just simply amazing!

  • You are welcome!!
