Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil...showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world
James 1:27 Religion...to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 4:4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
its time 4 the church to come out of the world and wash her clothes with JC blood
i used to really get into ravenhill's teaching along with people like keith green, finney, etc...but in the end it drove me mad!! I could never ever be sure of being accepted by God...the constant sense of insecurity was unbearable... this talk ironically keeps the focus on one's self....fear doesn't change people - ONLY love does!
Well I don't know about you guys but I nor anybody I know is without sin. To say we are without sin we are a liar, so scripture says. Repenting is turning to Christ as your Savior, Christians are not judged on sin. Our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west and God says He remembers them no more. We are judged on our works, to receive rewards or not. If we could be sinless we wouldn't need Jesus.
The bible does not say that one must repent of sin to be saved. The bible says that all who admit they're sinners and believe on the finished work of Jesus on the cross will be saved. Rom 10:9-10
Preaching that the repenting of sin is required for salvation is heresy.
@lewisabel123 Read what I said. "Repent of sin" not repent. Repent only means a person changing his mind. When one repents he must repent of something. The only repenting we must do to be saved is to repent of our unbelief in Christ. For salvation repenting of sin is never mentioned with respect to salvation only belief. Rom 10:9-10; John 1:16, john 6:47.
@lewisabel123 Read Galatians. Separate salvation from sanctification. Salvation does not require any repentance except that of unbelief. All righteousness is imputed from Christ and it doesn't come from us.
No man is free from sinning, even christians. . Trying to keep from sin ? certainly. Keeping from sin to be justify salvation? NO...just cannot be done and by claiming to do so one is denying Christ and refusing salvation ...no longer under grace but the law.
@lewisabel123 A believer should try to avoid sin, but if he should sin he is still still saved. Ongoing willfull sin can lead to loss of fellowship, punishments and loss of eternal rewards in heaven (1Joh 1:6-10).But, salvation itself is never lost and hinges ONLY on the belief in Jesus and his work on the cross. We are eternally saved by His imputed righteousness and not our own. The just shall live by Faith. Believers (the just) have been given eternal life through their faith by the Spirit.
This man was a walking talking living symbol of TRUE christianity. He admired Jesus Christ and it showed in every sermon. Versus today's Washed up, WATERED DOWN,Puppy dog, pasterized, version of preachers. These preachers aren't getting people ready for the rapture. Most of them are still preaching for MIRACLES to happen when they should be preaching how to seek HOLINESS & Purity of the mind.If I weren't saved, I'd think Jesus was a 911 operator.Because people only call him when they need help.
@EXALTEDDIRT sadly your born into these things with no choice at all. If God forgives every sin why are people still paying for the sins of the first 2 people? why do i not get the chance to mess everything up myself, why put that tree in there for them TO mess up? it kinda makes you think of how stupid someone would have to be to do something God told you not to do in person, so much so that it seems something like that couldn't actually happen. @itiswritten77 some people are more emotional.
@rsanch8695 church isn't lead by God. you don't go to church and then God tells you what your doing this week. church is lead by people that go off a book that's over 2000 years old, which isn't the worse thing, its a book, so it can be changed, and has been changed by people just trying to get things from people, as long as people are leading other people in church it will have the chance of being corrupt.
Goosebumps or no goosebumps, emotionalism or no emotionalism. What moves us is the truth in the message... Along with the annointing. Truth stands forever, facts are subject to change. I read Leonard ravenhill's book without knowing who he was or what type of book I was about to read and it changed my life. I literly cried reading the last chapter... No music. If so the Spirit lives in you than you will share in the burden of Christ... Music or no music.
How many Lies do you think you have told in your life? Have you ever stolen anything, even something small? Have you ever looked at a person with lust? Ever used GOD's name as a curse word? If you have, GOD sees you as a Lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Guilty will end up in Hell. That's not GOD's will. You broke GOD's laws, but Jesus paid your fine! (IF) you Repent, and trust in Christ alone, GOD will forgive every sin you have ever committed, and grant you Eternal life!
awesome video, and Ravenhill is spot on!! However one critique that someone kinda mentioned earlier in regards to turning the music off and just hearing or reading the message. So why is Hans Zimmer playing underneath ravenhill's message? If ravenhill says "..and because there isn't enough joy in the house of God, we need entertainment, because entertainment is the devil's substitute for joy!" substitute joy for conviction, do we need hans zimmer's entertainment to entertain us into conviction?
Although I agree with just about everything you said especially the idea that we cannot get by on carnality, I take exception of the notion that the Church will ALWAYS be corrupt. Thats not only untrue but an indictment against Christ himself. Why is that? Because he's the head of it and his word delclares that he will have a Bride (Church) without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. So saint please be careful when making critical remarks.
churches have always and always will be currupt. and the chills thing is not the presence of the spirit, that happens when you listen to something powerful, try turning the sound off and just reading then see how you feel. oh and the thing about you should be better then the worldly people.. your a human being, just like everyone else.
God said he will send again the spirit of Elijah in the last days Malachi 4:5 Now remember Matthew 17:12 Jesus called John the baptist Elijah not that he was Elijah but he had the spirit of Elijah meaning the same kind of ministry. Now God send William Branham the Malachi 4:5 Elijah come see for yourself if he is not Malachi 4:5 search William Branham on youtube or visit my channel.and remember you've been invited to the marriage supper of the lamb because God loves you
@GodTheConsumingFire I am Thankful to my Savior for this wake up call! He has called us to walk in our full inheritance, which is that of him who is fully risen, fully glorified & all powerful. We cannot walk in this if we do not truly strive to take up our cross & follow him. May you O Lord have mercy on us for slacking off when your provision, to accomplish your will, has so freely been presented to us through your son Jesus & the Holy Spirit you sent upon his ascension into heaven! Hallelujah
i listen to this just about every day. God, stamp eternity on my eyeballs. Just protect me, so that the vision of that glory doesn't kill me upon seeing it.
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
He has given us everything, yet we do not ask as we ought to... He needs a people that are full of faith and worship in spirit and truth! Let us all let go of our idols, our desires, our passions--ultimately ourselves and die to self and live for Christ. It is hard, and He will refine you with fire to do it, but who here is willing to do it?
@AlmasiProductions FIRE: "it washes the skin off the bone, and the sin of the soul. And my momma didin't raise herself no dirty boy." a serial kiler said that. if you are willing to go around burning people i won't stop you... the police will. hmm if only you had bowed down to their power, to their guns, to their tazers, and their jails full of criminals who will make you their little bitch.
i learn from my idols because they have earned their position, yours has earned nothing, nothing 4 u
@paenitet7nullum My comment was directed towards Christians and that is why you completely misunderstood it... "He will refine you with fire" is a reference to Malachi 3:3, where God takes an individual and purifies them with "fire," which refers to both His Holy Spirit or trials and tribulations; it is NOT "burning people." Born-again believers will NOT harm their neighbor; "The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31).
@AlmasiProductions ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’. GREAT. It says in the bible... Wiches, kill them. homosexuals, kill them. Fortunetellers, kill them. Those who don`t listen to priests, kill them. Those who hurt their father, kill them Those who curse their parents, kill them. Adulterers. kill them Fornicators kill them ,Those who work on the Sabbath kill them. Non believers, those who believe other religions ,false prophets, blasphemers.Kill them. There are no greater commandments !!
@tallliza Brother you need to re-read the bible otherwise you will end up like the man with one talent in matthew 25 but i tell you this your first statement is correct, Love is the greatest command that our lord gave to us. Remember this though as much as our god is of love is he also righteous and just and he hates sin. But any man that would believe on the lord Jesus Christ and that he lived a sinless life, died for us, and rose the third day and was god from the beginning will be saved.
Whatever you do sir, do not quit making these videos. I get so much from them, they are so rich with the filling of the Holy Spirit. I believe that through videos such as this, revival is possible again in America and not only America, but the world. Keep up this good work, souls are perishing.
@callchofe I am in awe of your comment> I fill broken right now. This man of God is
my inspiration. Oh yes The Holy Spirit is my Leader and my guide but to understand the death of the so called Church today is a breath of survival to hear men like Leonard Ravenhill. I am a Minister of The True and Living God and many doors have been closed only because I cannot and will not comprimise with the voice of the flesh that has flooded our Churches of today.
If you don't believe, why did you spend your time watching this? And why are you trying so hard to argue against us? Our proof that Jesus Christ is the real savior over all the other gods is because we have a Bible that tells us about our Savior stepping down off the throne do be beaten and take the punishment for our sins, and because we can feel Him in out everyday lives! Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you have to insult us? Isn't that what the "world" promotes now? Bein
thise is one of one of my favorite vidoes fromthis guy it really inspired me thank god he sent his son todie on the cross for my sin and your and that he is risen praise the lord John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELEVITH ON HIM THAT HE SHALL BE SAVE. THANK GOD FOR HIS WORD THE kING jAMES vSION THE HOLY BIBLY THANK GOD FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE AND WHAT HE CAN STILL DO AMEN PRAISE THE LORD
Yet there is only 1 Truth and the true, ancient God of authentic Christianity is a God of Love and Mercy as well as strength and truth. Don't get hung up on different interpretations because ultimately those are opinions that mean nothing unless they are measured against the canon of the scripture. God is one whom when you seek Him, He let's you find Him. Forget interpretations, search for the real truth. And then that statement won't terrify you the same way.
"Submissive to the total will of God" sounds so creepy. This video terrifies me because I see the total obedience to Gods. I also see many Gods among many people. Not all of these people follow the same God and sometimes their God's will is total annihilation of those who are different. Behind good intentions lie the worst of actions. People interpret religious passages differently and each side says the other is not a true believer. I hope I survive this battle of imaginations.
It's because I do. I've heard it. I've read it. I've watched what it has done to this planet. Religion is a poison most sinister. The sooner this planet rids itself of religions and starts to commit good deeds for the sake of kindness and not the fear of hell or the promise of reward, we will finally move past this infancy of ours. You follow your god, they follow theirs, all the while believing the other to be wicked. Do not hide under this veil of tolerance; it is only a lie.
@trekgeek1 Hey man. You are absolutely right that we shouldn't do those things out of fear of hell or because we want some heavenly piles of gold in the afterlife or something. I don't see the Bible teaching that though. The number one command given to us all throughout is to love God, and then to love others. We do all of these things not to get rewards or because we're trying to make sure we don't burn, but because Jesus is so incredible and we want to know him better and love him,
@trekgeek1 and we love other people and serve them because they are of unsurpassable worth to Christ and he wants them to know him too. We turn from sin because it is something awful that separates us from him and spits in the face of his amazing love. I utterly respect Ravenhill but it is true that guys like him sometimes make it sound like it's all about constantly making sure that you're doing everything right so you won't go to hell or so God won't get mad at you.
@trekgeek1 We are saved by Grace through Faith in CHRIST ALONE! You may find this appauling, but it is the everlasting truth and no matter how you feel or what you believe, it will not erase this truth! Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father (God the Father) or enter Heaven (the Kingdom of God) except through CHRIST. I pray God will humble you, open your eyes and your heart so that you may be saved! No argument of yours will change the truth, NOT EVER!
Ha ha ha! You really need to start thinking. You are an insult to human intelligence. You speak of faith and truth. Truth is a fact, backed by evidence. Faith is belief despite the lack of evidence. Are you afraid of going to Hades because you do not accept Zeus? His followers insist that he is the way to salvation. Your beliefs are not absolute truth or fact, they are personal beliefs which are not supported by evidence. I'm entertained by lesser minds. You entertain me.
@trekgeek1 One day you will face this God and you will be reminded of your comments. I am afraid for you. There will be a day that all men and women will have to face the Lord; and, EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus is Lord! This will be a joyous day for believers who trusted Christ; it will be a great day of fear, regret, and remorse for those who have rejected him. I tell you these things out of Love. Christians who preach the truth do so out of love. I'll pray 4 U!
@boolifcooncoon I hear you. But, sometimes we need to be reminded of the sins that seperate us from God. Some Christians (and I am guilty of this) become to comfortable with their Christianity and become luke warm. And, then the Church, in many cases, has moved away from Biblical truth (the Emergent Church movement, for example). This has caused much confusion and many people who enter the church are not really saved at all. We must give the Glory back to God and put worldliness to death!
@trekgeek1 There is an accountability and judgment based on how we lived our lives. It keeps us sober and reminds us not to live dumb lives and waste our time with crap, because every second counts and God sees everything we do. But in light of the whole teaching of Jesus and the New Testament, we are clearly not supposed to be stressed every day about "oh no, I have to perform well for judgment day." We are to pursue an intimate love relationship with Jesus, first and foremost.
@trekgeek1 I agree with you about religion....but, true Christianity is NOT a religion. It is a relationship with the one True God who sent His only begotten Son to teach us the truth and then give up his human life as a ransom for our salvation. Hell exists because God has to deal with sin. It will not be allowed in His Kingdom....no sin of any kind. Either we accept Christ as our Saviour and have our sins washed away, or we face having it consummed in hell!
Christianity IS a religion. Definition of religion: A religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. -Wikipedia
God knows everything, even the future. God created sinners. God knew they'd sin. God intended them for hell. Logic FTW

@trekgeek1 and, that salvation is dependent upon our relationship with Christ. Not Religious rituals or traditions or sacraments or performing certain rites. Baptism can't even save you. Without God you are lost; the whole world is lost. People have created religion because they realized there was an emptiness that had to be filled. God put up with alot of these religions and other gods in the long ago past until he came to us as one of us in the God/Man, Jesus Christ. We are no longer
Prove that Buddha or Vishnu is not the savior of man. You state creation is evidence. I definitely see creation, so prove Zeus didn't do it. I have 3000 religions to pick from. Help me pick the right one. If I pick wrong, I go to hell, so make sure you demonstrate why Jesus is better than Thor. Imagine I'm not an atheist. Imagine I'm a Hindu. Explain to me why your book and god are more valid. Remember, as a Hindu, my faith in my stories is just as strong as yours.
@proverbs1824 Mate: (James 1:26-27 NKJV) - "If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. {27} Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
@TheCrushmaster OK. I see your point. However many people (especially the unbeliever) see religion as rituals and weird practices; incantations, magic, and alot of other weird stuff. True Christianity avoids such things. Pure religion (as far as Christianity is concerned) is our relationship with our maker. Do you see what I mean? Alot of people, even some Christians, don't fully understand this. However, correct me if I am wrong. God Bless you!
@TheCrushmaster really and truly I don't see it as a religion because religion can't take you to heaven, only Christ can. if Cristianity were a religion we would all be in the same state as Muslims, Bhuddists e.t.c
@HackerzInc Indeed, only Christ can take you to Heaven. However, that does not dismiss the fact that Christianity is a religion. The others also are, but they are false. Note the verses from James I've quoted on this video; James 1:26-27.
@proverbs1824 you are correct good sir...lol.. It is a sad fact, but yes many who claim to be christians do not understand, most of the time it is because the are not in the Word of God... reading the Bible, and prayer are key components to a good relationship with God. It is up to us to encourage others to study the Word of God. God bless
@TheCrushmaster you are right. What they mean is that christianity is not a religion "as defined by the world". of course we worship God, but our worship is the produdct of our relationship with God and manifest itself in every aspect of our lives.... We worship in spirit and truth, which means our worship goes deeper that what can bee seen on the surface. "It is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives through me". we are not merely religious, we are changed!!. and I thank God for that.
@proverbs1824 Hello, do you believe that the wicked will be destroyed by fire, or that the wicked will burn for eternity? I mean, will the wicked perish (They will not feel or know anything) I'm curious. I have always had a lot of questions about this issue.
@lawstudentgirl1 Hi, I just wanted to say that if Proverbs1824 hasn't contacted you, feel free to ask me any questions you may have via PM. I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities.
@lawstudentgirl1 they will burn for eternity and yes they will feel it as the ages go by and weep and weep and weep hell is a place of eternal torment...
@proverbs1824 I hate hearing this. I am a christian, and I wholy believe that Christianity is a relationship. BUT, it is a Religion. This is Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, ... usually involving devotional [to God] and ritual observances [like the sacraments], and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. If you do not believe it is a religion, then you do not believe Christianity can answer any of those things.
@proverbs1824 Can we not engage in a discussion? It is good to do so! It shows that we are thinking Christians. We should do it with gentleness and love! Im not another random youtuber, im your brother! 2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 25:9;
@JoshD667 And, brothers we are indeed. But, there is really nothing to discuss or debate over. The most important thing is our Relationship with God, and that is not religion. Do you understand where I am coming from? It is not something built on rituals, sacraments, or repetive prayer. It is reaching out to Abba (daddy), and putting our trust in him. I understand where you are coming from; but, most people think of religion as something as I previously described.
@proverbs1824 I understand what you say, to the full extent that i agree with you. But the very nature of what Christianity offers to the heart soul and mind of a person, is a religion. Islam could be described as a relationship, focusing on relating to Allah. By describing Christianity as religion, the whole relationship with God becomes grander - we are relating to an infinite being. We then become far more accountable. We are in awe of this Devinne Spirit. Do we wish to please men or God?
@JoshD667 there is no discussion here. It is not a Salvational issue. It is not a core doctrine. I love what John Wesley had to say about our faith: In the Essential doctrines we have unity; in the non-essentials we have freedom; and, in all things we have charity. Whether or not one views Christianityi as a religion or a relationship with God is not a core doctrine. It has no effect on our Salvation. Therefore, let's not make this an issue. We are beating our swords against the plow!
@proverbs1824 Does this mean its not profitable to discus? I will stop here: Do we believe what we believe, salvation issue or not, because of what the bible says or because of what we are comfortable with. I believe predestination, Hell, etc, because the bible teaches it. I find these doctrines hard. This is more than just semantics. This subject is about what the essence of what Christianity is. It sets our mindset. This question is a lot deeper than you think. I hope you give it more time.
@proverbs1824 A final note, I do hope you do not live your life hiding away from non salvation issues. These are incredibly important to answer, to discus, and to meditate upon. Apart from anything, we engage in discussion with non Christians about these. If we cant discus it as Christians, how on earth can we expect to discus it with atheists?! How to we pursue devotion? Through Non-Salvation issues. Don't label these things as useless. They are infinitely important.
@sue200012 I am sure he did. And, in both cases: John Wesley and Augustine, the sayings are biblically supported. And, sometimes charity means not to argue or debate an issue that is not an salvational issue. We must agree with core doctrines.........there's no way around it. But, in other matters it is a matter of the heart and conscience.
@proverbs1824 *most importantly Jesus. Sorry for bombarding you! Just need to correct this sadly misunderstood thing about religion. Religion is not a bad thing. I tell you what is bad: Legalistic Religion.
@proverbs1824 so... there is an omnipresent being of infinite power who had a kid and then killed his(Her?) kid to be able to forgive all of the great apes of certain behaviors wich he did not like.
ok either he's an idiot, or your fucking sycotic, OR I just don't know how to spell psycotic; this suggestion is a test to see if you are atleast a little bit intelligent, OR there is a jewish zombie standing behind me right NOW!!... nope, i guess that only leaves the option that ur psycotic :O
@paenitet7nullum I will pray for you. You are truly a Lost Soul. I will pray, not argue or debate with you. I hope you will come to know the truth before you meet the truth face to face. There will be a day when EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD!!! For those who believe and have trusted Christ it will be a great day of joy, relief, and true freedom. For those who have rejected Christ, it will be a day of great sorrow......sorrow like never before!
@xXxCOV3RTxXx Yeh man, constant chills and tingling when Leonard is preaching. His words are also like a bright light exposing all of my flaws and my selfish ungodly behaviour, i thank him for that !
oh man.. not just you but almost EVERYONE ... sadly many donot want to see thier own selfish ungodly natures (including me i speak) exposed. Let God forgive us, for without Holiness, we cant see God.. How blessed ot have such pastors / evagelists...
@xXxCOV3RTxXx I hear you! This is a very compelling, moving, and CONVICTING video. I fall to my knees and repent and ask the Lord for his mercy, his grace, his forgiveness, and his acceptance. I think we all need to review our lives......even as Christians. Are we to be gathered with the wheat, or bundled up with the chaff and tossed into the fires of eternal consumtion? God forgive us, for we have ALL sinned against you! Jesus.....Save US! To Him be all the Praise, the Honor, and GLORY!
@xXxCOV3RTxXx He was a neighbor of Rev. David Wilkerson. Both touch your soul with the HS's power . Paul Washer, Mark Cahill, John MacArthur, Ravi Zacharias can as well.
@xXxCOV3RTxXx hmm more so when i hear a good rap song played loud enough, or maybe like an orgasm idunno wich do u mean either one is not holy and neither are you, or this vid
@xXxCOV3RTxXx i get goosebumps when i watch titanic. is that the spirit too? its music. and inspirational, TRUE statements.....but God doesnt give us goosebumps. he created us with goosebumps being the proper response to something that makes us emotional charged. this is very dangerous thinking. because i have seen so many people guage whether or not the spirit is present by non biblical things, like goosebumps... and then when they will use that as a meter. its not biblical
The Judgement Seat of Christ is not the final Judgement; but rather a time of accountability for believers. The Final Judgement is the White Throne Judgement where a the unGodly will be judged and thrown along with hell itself into the lake of fire.
@MrTempuser111 It's at the end of Revelation on the White Throne Judgment but hey if you are a believer I'd follow Ravenhill's advice which I see you are doing in warning the Youngbaptist guy on youtube who says Paul Washer is a false teacher and you shouldn't be worried about the White Throne Judgment for we'll all be going to the Bema Seat where Jesus is gonna reward us Apostle Paul likens it to the Olympics and the crown we are rewarded for persevering and fighting the good fight.
@joestaylors Well it's our final judgment I guess you could say for those who remain faithful to Him where He'll expose our motives for why we did everything on earth and our works for His Good News all about our obedience to Him and where He leads us. You can even be disobedient and spreading His word but when you start listening to where and when He wants you to go and you go that is complete obedience and what He is looking for. Our reward is knowing we were used to plant seeds for Him.
It addresses the problem of divisions in 1 corinthians 3 too. The main way you know if someone is a christian isn't by going to a church. It is being lead by the Spirit and walking in faith. I can be seen in every aspect of there lives. Christianity isn't blind. It is the power of God unto salvation. Jesus's birth, ministry, miracles, betrayal, crucifiction, death resurrection and divine nature are all in the old testiment, There is no "rubbish"
Have you even read the bible? I Timothy 3:16 says "all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness." That means genesis to revelation
The Holy Spirit is not into division. Men did that all by themselves. It is written in galations 5 says "Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, SEDITIONS, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
I notice your name is blasphemous and your obviously just a mocker.
There should be one fold, these denominations is due to a misunderstanding of scripture and a misunderstanding of the meaning of Gods sacrifice and a misunderstanding of what the Holy Spirits work in us really is. one spirit, one Lord, one baptism, one God, one truth NOT TRUTHS. we need a revival of mind and reformation of our ways.
@Jahdiel6382 How can there be a misunderstanding of scripture, when the holy spirit is in charge of enlightening the bible readers ? Is he doing a lousy job ? One truth,... that`s wishful thinking. It seems to be heading to ...each mind his own truth...
@tallliza the Holy Spirit is never doing a bad job but when man leans on their own understanding they come up with error. truth does not depend on the mind but the Spirit of God. You just said the Holy Spirit does enlightens then you said that each mind has its own truth, that's a contradiction. The Spirit leads us to all truth not based on our mind but based on Gods mind 1 Corinthians 2:10 and 16. If we have the mind of God then its like HIS. we forfeit our thoughts to have His Thoughts.
@Jahdiel6382-- The Spirit leads us to all truth not based on our mind but based on Gods mind --- Well the truth of the holy spirit has lead people in 35.000 different directions..
@tallliza bible says that in the last days that there will be false teachers leading MANY people away from God. Anything that the bible does agree with is not Spirit led Isaiah 8:20. Please know that there truth and there is lie and Satan will infiltrate the Church and place false teachers to convince people 2 corinthians 11:13-15. please read the verses im giving you
@Jahdiel6382 --bible says that in the last days that there will be false teachers The bible ( the Old-Testament) says a lot of things, mostly rubbish.
@tallliza Rubbish?? umm are you a christian? those quotes were all from the new testament. How can you call scripture rubbish. I know for a fact the spirit is not leading you to say or to come up with that conclusion.
@Jahdiel6382 -- I know for a fact the spirit is not leading you to say or to come up with that conclusion-- That spirit you are talking about , has lead to the breaking up of the one christian religion, into some 35.000 denominations. You should congratulate this spirit, he did a great job.
Wow.... My man, you have a comeback for everything... A couple of sights??? I think you are misinformed about that... I'm not even talking about the illumination end... Man is falliable and we are at different levels of maturity... I'm talking about regeneration!!! Read about the Welsh Revival... Or are you afraid that their may be something to contradict your belief system? Read about the historical occurrences and then get back to me...
@AceFoxhound --There are six things the LORD hates--- Bullshit !! I am not fed up with Haiti, my friend, I am fed with people claiming... the lord is great..., the Lord is good,... but this Lord never shows up, when there is a problem. NEVER. There is not an iota of evidence , there is no reason for praise. There might be a god, but a loving, caring, compassionate god, is out of the question.
You just can't assert, your opinion, your opinion needs to be founded on hard core facts... If your opinion is just theory, that is all it is... theory. So please, I want you to provide me with facts that disprove Jesus' sinlessness and that His sacrifice for sins is not historical and factual. No theory, but facts... Thanks
@No1believer It is the one who claims Jesus is sinless, who has to prove it`s right. If I claim, a saw a flying rabbit, do i ask you to prove me wrong ? No you ask me for evidence. Jesus sacrifice is not historical ,for the simple fact that science or history can never ascertain that a god coming from heaven, died for our sins.
Historically, the New Testament records eyewitness testimony from those who were with Him and heard what He taught. Is. 7:14 testifies to the virgin birth... Is 53:10 testifies to the Father crushing the Son... And these documents were written at 600 years before Christ! What about the 500 who saw Jesus resurrected 1 Cor. 15, What about all of the Christians throughout Church history that testify they were changed by His Spirit. I guess you deny 2000 years of Christian testimony?
@No1believer -- the New Testament records --- The New-Testament is not a history book. If the new-testament needs no outside corroboration, than the Quran has the same credibility.
What about the 500 who saw Jesus resurrected -- None of those 500 has left a written testimony behind. What of all the jews, who claim that Jesus did no fulfill the prohecy ? After all he was one of them !!
@No1believer The vigin birth is most probably nonsense. What`s wrong with non-virgin births ? Why did he have to be born from a virgin. Not even the prohecy says he was to be born from a virgin. Why going through this controversial process ? Why didn`t he descend from heaven has an adult. His first 30 years were useless for the salvation story.
Oh, he's going to descend when he returns the second time!! It won't be controversial then!! Friend, I don't know what to tell you... You deny 2000 years of church history and countless testimonies. Read up on those revivals... And judge for yourself the activity of the Spirit... If you still choose not to surrender... Then all I can say is, Look both ways when you cross the street! Btw your wrong the gospel testimony began in the book of Acts. A.D. 33. And its not about the numbers
Btw... Speaking of A.D. 70, Jesus had prophesied during his ministry the destruction of the Temple (which occurred in 70 A.D.) Matthew records this in his gospel (he wrote his between 50-60 AD) Can you explain this prophesy by Jesus?
@No1believer There are only a couple of cities from biblical times left behind. Making a prophecy that the temple will be destroyed is no prophecy at all. I prophecy today the destruction of New-York. If you wait long enough, it will happen. Moreover he prophecied, that... no stone would be left upon another... yet the West-wall is still standing.. 2.000 years later. What kind of a prophecy was that??
@No1believer-- It won't be controversial then!! -- Ok I am waiting.
And judge for yourself the activity of the Spirit--- Do you mean the holy spirit ? What a joke. He enlightens every bible reader in a different way. hence 35.000 christian denominations.
@tallliza Wow....
@tallliza Btw... Speaking of A.D. 70, Jesus had prophesied during his ministry the destruction of the Temple (which occurred in 70 A.D.) Matthew records this in his gospel (he wrote his between 50-60 AD) Can you explain this prophesy by Jesus?
How so you know that any of the 500 did not leave a a written testimony but was lost? But His disciples leave written testimonies and you still don't believe! Explain, the past revivals in, Welsh, 1st and 2nd Great Awakening, Ulster that claimed thousands if not millions of souls to claim to know Christ! How do you explain these great events? What is your explanation?
AMEN!

LadyofCleves65 1 week ago
The bible does not say that one must repent of sin to be saved. The bible says that all who admit they're sinners and believe on the finished work of Jesus on the cross will be saved. Rom 10:9-10
Preaching that the repenting of sin is required for salvation is heresy.
Duck4212 1 week ago
@Duck4212: You don't read the bible do you? Jesus Christ said it himself.
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:5.
lewisabel123 1 week ago
@lewisabel123 Read what I said. "Repent of sin" not repent. Repent only means a person changing his mind. When one repents he must repent of something. The only repenting we must do to be saved is to repent of our unbelief in Christ. For salvation repenting of sin is never mentioned with respect to salvation only belief. Rom 10:9-10; John 1:16, john 6:47.
Duck4212 1 week ago
@Duck4212: Jesus Christ also said "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
1 Peter 1:16. That means stay away from sin.
lewisabel123 1 week ago
@lewisabel123 Read Galatians. Separate salvation from sanctification. Salvation does not require any repentance except that of unbelief. All righteousness is imputed from Christ and it doesn't come from us.
No man is free from sinning, even christians. . Trying to keep from sin ? certainly. Keeping from sin to be justify salvation? NO...just cannot be done and by claiming to do so one is denying Christ and refusing salvation ...no longer under grace but the law.
Duck4212 1 week ago
@Duck4212: Ok. But that doesn't mean commit sin on purpose.
lewisabel123 1 week ago
@lewisabel123 A believer should try to avoid sin, but if he should sin he is still still saved. Ongoing willfull sin can lead to loss of fellowship, punishments and loss of eternal rewards in heaven (1Joh 1:6-10).But, salvation itself is never lost and hinges ONLY on the belief in Jesus and his work on the cross. We are eternally saved by His imputed righteousness and not our own. The just shall live by Faith. Believers (the just) have been given eternal life through their faith by the Spirit.

It is hard, and He will refine you with fire to do it, but who here is willing to do it?

paenitet7nullum 7 months ago
@paenitet7nullum My comment was directed towards Christians and that is why you completely misunderstood it... "He will refine you with fire" is a reference to Malachi 3:3, where God takes an individual and purifies them with "fire," which refers to both His Holy Spirit or trials and tribulations; it is NOT "burning people." Born-again believers will NOT harm their neighbor; "The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31).
AlmasiProductions 7 months ago

Do not hide under this veil of tolerance; it is only a lie.
trekgeek1 11 months ago
@trekgeek1 Hey man. You are absolutely right that we shouldn't do those things out of fear of hell or because we want some heavenly piles of gold in the afterlife or something. I don't see the Bible teaching that though. The number one command given to us all throughout is to love God, and then to love others. We do all of these things not to get rewards or because we're trying to make sure we don't burn, but because Jesus is so incredible and we want to know him better and love him,
boolifcooncoon 10 months ago
@trekgeek1 and we love other people and serve them because they are of unsurpassable worth to Christ and he wants them to know him too. We turn from sin because it is something awful that separates us from him and spits in the face of his amazing love. I utterly respect Ravenhill but it is true that guys like him sometimes make it sound like it's all about constantly making sure that you're doing everything right so you won't go to hell or so God won't get mad at you.

My issue:
1.) Typical Christian belief: Accept Jesus or go to hell
2.) The majority of humans on Earth are NOT Christian.
3.) Therefore, many Christians believe their fellow humans deserve hellfire and torture.
This is the fundamental belief of Christianity. I find that appalling and believe it causes a "us vs them" mentality.
Is it justified for a Buddhist to go to hell? If yes, thinking that the torture of a human is justified is sick. If no, then you and god disagree.

@proverbs1824

We must give the Glory back to God and put worldliness to death!
proverbs1824 10 months ago
@trekgeek1 There is an accountability and judgment based on how we lived our lives. It keeps us sober and reminds us not to live dumb lives and waste our time with crap, because every second counts and God sees everything we do. But in light of the whole teaching of Jesus and the New Testament, we are clearly not supposed to be stressed every day about "oh no, I have to perform well for judgment day." We are to pursue an intimate love relationship with Jesus, first and foremost.
boolifcooncoon 10 months ago

@proverbs1824 Because you stated Christianity is not a religion; this verse disagrees. "Pure and undefiled religion before God..."
TheCrushmaster 10 months ago
@TheCrushmaster OK. I see your point. However many people (especially the unbeliever) see religion as rituals and weird practices; incantations, magic, and alot of other weird stuff. True Christianity avoids such things. Pure religion (as far as Christianity is concerned) is our relationship with our maker. Do you see what I mean? Alot of people, even some Christians, don't fully understand this. However, correct me if I am wrong. God Bless you!

HackerzInc 9 months ago
@HackerzInc Indeed, only Christ can take you to Heaven. However, that does not dismiss the fact that Christianity is a religion. The others also are, but they are false. Note the verses from James I've quoted on this video; James 1:26-27.

@proverbs1824 you are correct good sir...lol.. It is a sad fact, but yes many who claim to be christians do not understand, most of the time it is because the are not in the Word of God... reading the Bible, and prayer are key components to a good relationship with God. It is up to us to encourage others to study the Word of God. God bless
armystrong3305 10 months ago

@proverbs1824 well said my friend

JoshD667 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 Also, Paul James and most importantly refer to the new covenant as a religion!
JoshD667 9 months ago
@JoshD667 I will not debate with you on this matter. It is not a Salvational issue. God bless.
proverbs1824 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 Can we not engage in a discussion? It is good to do so! It shows that we are thinking Christians. We should do it with gentleness and love! Im not another random youtuber, im your brother! 2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 25:9;
JoshD667 9 months ago
@JoshD667 And, brothers we are indeed. But, there is really nothing to discuss or debate over. The most important thing is our Relationship with God, and that is not religion. Do you understand where I am coming from? It is not something built on rituals, sacraments, or repetive prayer. It is reaching out to Abba (daddy), and putting our trust in him. I understand where you are coming from; but, most people think of religion as something as I previously described.
proverbs1824 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 I understand what you say, to the full extent that i agree with you. But the very nature of what Christianity offers to the heart soul and mind of a person, is a religion. Islam could be described as a relationship, focusing on relating to Allah. By describing Christianity as religion, the whole relationship with God becomes grander - we are relating to an infinite being. We then become far more accountable. We are in awe of this Devinne Spirit. Do we wish to please men or God?
JoshD667 9 months ago
@JoshD667 there is no discussion here. It is not a Salvational issue. It is not a core doctrine. I love what John Wesley had to say about our faith: In the Essential doctrines we have unity; in the non-essentials we have freedom; and, in all things we have charity. Whether or not one views Christianityi as a religion or a relationship with God is not a core doctrine. It has no effect on our Salvation. Therefore, let's not make this an issue. We are beating our swords against the plow!
proverbs1824 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 Does this mean its not profitable to discus? I will stop here: Do we believe what we believe, salvation issue or not, because of what the bible says or because of what we are comfortable with. I believe predestination, Hell, etc, because the bible teaches it. I find these doctrines hard. This is more than just semantics. This subject is about what the essence of what Christianity is. It sets our mindset. This question is a lot deeper than you think. I hope you give it more time.
JoshD667 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 A final note, I do hope you do not live your life hiding away from non salvation issues. These are incredibly important to answer, to discus, and to meditate upon. Apart from anything, we engage in discussion with non Christians about these. If we cant discus it as Christians, how on earth can we expect to discus it with atheists?! How to we pursue devotion? Through Non-Salvation issues. Don't label these things as useless. They are infinitely important.
JoshD667 9 months ago
@JoshD667 You just don't get it. You really don't. I'm not pressing this issue any further. From now on you'll be blowin' in the wind.
proverbs1824 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 Well good sir, i can say the same, with meaning! You just dont get. You really don't.
JoshD667 9 months ago
@proverbs1824 ...and in all things charity. Didn't St Augustine say that?
sue200012 8 months ago
@sue200012 I am sure he did. And, in both cases: John Wesley and Augustine, the sayings are biblically supported. And, sometimes charity means not to argue or debate an issue that is not an salvational issue. We must agree with core doctrines.........there's no way around it. But, in other matters it is a matter of the heart and conscience.

@proverbs1824 *most importantly Jesus. Sorry for bombarding you! Just need to correct this sadly misunderstood thing about religion. Religion is not a bad thing. I tell you what is bad: Legalistic Religion.

The Judgement Seat of Christ is not the final Judgement; but rather a time of accountability for believers. The Final Judgement is the White Throne Judgement where a the unGodly will be judged and thrown along with hell itself into the lake of fire.
joestaylors 1 year ago
@joestaylors please cite Scriptures to support your statement.
MrTempuser111 1 year ago
@MrTempuser111 It's at the end of Revelation on the White Throne Judgment but hey if you are a believer I'd follow Ravenhill's advice which I see you are doing in warning the Youngbaptist guy on youtube who says Paul Washer is a false teacher and you shouldn't be worried about the White Throne Judgment for we'll all be going to the Bema Seat where Jesus is gonna reward us Apostle Paul likens it to the Olympics and the crown we are rewarded for persevering and fighting the good fight.
lefthanofares 11 months ago
@joestaylors Well it's our final judgment I guess you could say for those who remain faithful to Him where He'll expose our motives for why we did everything on earth and our works for His Good News all about our obedience to Him and where He leads us. You can even be disobedient and spreading His word but when you start listening to where and when He wants you to go and you go that is complete obedience and what He is looking for. Our reward is knowing we were used to plant seeds for Him.
lefthanofares 11 months ago
@lefthanofares Well said. It's a time of accounting our motives and desire in utilizing our gifts for the kingdom. Be blessed, friend.

The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey God (Acts 5:32). Not just those who say they do.
thelordssoldier83 1 year ago
It addresses the problem of divisions in 1 corinthians 3 too. The main way you know if someone is a christian isn't by going to a church. It is being lead by the Spirit and walking in faith. I can be seen in every aspect of there lives. Christianity isn't blind. It is the power of God unto salvation. Jesus's birth, ministry, miracles, betrayal, crucifiction, death resurrection and divine nature are all in the old testiment, There is no "rubbish"

thelordssoldier83 1 year ago
The Holy Spirit is not into division. Men did that all by themselves. It is written in galations 5 says "Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, SEDITIONS, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
I notice your name is blasphemous and your obviously just a mocker.
thelordssoldier83 1 year ago
There should be one fold, these denominations is due to a misunderstanding of scripture and a misunderstanding of the meaning of Gods sacrifice and a misunderstanding of what the Holy Spirits work in us really is. one spirit, one Lord, one baptism, one God, one truth NOT TRUTHS. we need a revival of mind and reformation of our ways.
Jahdiel6382 1 year ago
@Jahdiel6382 How can there be a misunderstanding of scripture, when the holy spirit is in charge of enlightening the bible readers ? Is he doing a lousy job ? One truth,... that`s wishful thinking. It seems to be heading to ...each mind his own truth...
tallliza 1 year ago
@tallliza the Holy Spirit is never doing a bad job but when man leans on their own understanding they come up with error. truth does not depend on the mind but the Spirit of God. You just said the Holy Spirit does enlightens then you said that each mind has its own truth, that's a contradiction. The Spirit leads us to all truth not based on our mind but based on Gods mind 1 Corinthians 2:10 and 16. If we have the mind of God then its like HIS. we forfeit our thoughts to have His Thoughts.

Thanks
No1believer 1 year ago

No1believer 1 year ago
@No1believer -- the New Testament records --- The New-Testament is not a history book. If the new-testament needs no outside corroboration, than the Quran has the same credibility.
What about the 500 who saw Jesus resurrected -- None of those 500 has left a written testimony behind. What of all the jews, who claim that Jesus did no fulfill the prohecy ? After all he was one of them !!
tallliza 1 year ago
@No1believer The vigin birth is most probably nonsense. What`s wrong with non-virgin births ? Why did he have to be born from a virgin. Not even the prohecy says he was to be born from a virgin. Why going through this controversial process ? Why didn`t he descend from heaven has an adult. His first 30 years were useless for the salvation story.
tallliza 1 year ago
@tallliza
No1believer 1 year ago
@No1believer
Btw... Speaking of A.D. 70, Jesus had prophesied during his ministry the destruction of the Temple (which occurred in 70 A.D.) Matthew records this in his gospel (he wrote his between 50-60 AD) Can you explain this prophesy by Jesus?
No1believer 1 year ago
@No1believer There are only a couple of cities from biblical times left behind. Making a prophecy that the temple will be destroyed is no prophecy at all. I prophecy today the destruction of New-York. If you wait long enough, it will happen. Moreover he prophecied, that... no stone would be left upon another... yet the West-wall is still standing.. 2.000 years later. What kind of a prophecy was that??
tallliza 1 year ago
@No1believer-- It won't be controversial then!! -- Ok I am waiting.
And judge for yourself the activity of the Spirit--- Do you mean the holy spirit ? What a joke. He enlightens every bible reader in a different way. hence 35.000 christian denominations.
