i like it...but i think the edges of the mountains, especially the first one it too sharp..plus i like it if you put a bit of depth in the wide shot..anyway, nice effort..
I think that you spent a lot of extra time making 3D shapes to project your elements onto that you really didn't need to. This move could have been done in After Effects or Flame using 2.5 D cameras and would have looked just as good.
I was going to comment on your attempt, then I realized when you uploaded this.

pretty nice!
the foreground mountain at the very beginning needs a little bit matte cleanup though =)
and some depth of field will help I think~ keep it up!

I did like your breakdowns though.

I actually agree. The same effect can be accomplised in for example Adobe After Effects, which is a 2.5 D program

for complicated angels and complicated effects it's better to do them using 3d shapes.
wind27382 3 years ago
true, but I didn´t see any angels or complicated effects in this example:)
stokmarknes 3 years ago
no not in this example. I was just saying in general sometimes it's better to use max.
wind27382 3 years ago
true. Or any other 3D apps;)
I will say end of discussion:D

for being a 3d Matte I think it needs more work , the move is to fast needs a bit more sence of reality

Your camera mapping was good but the forground element is terrible. You really need to refine the keying on it. Apart from that, not bad.
