That is why you never heard them call him Jesus in the passion of Christ. Always Yeshua, their isn't even a J sound in the biblical language Hebrew... Any student of Biblical history knows, the Word Jesus in reference to Yeshua, comes from the greek translation Iesus. The English in translating scripture used greek texts, instead of Hebrew. Eventually in the 1600's we arrived at the J sound.(adopted from the french), to the name Jesus, which references Yeshua. Yeshua in hebrew is the word salvation. God bless
