At some point I'd like Obama to comment on how important legislation like the Employee Free Choice Act is in protecting labor's rights to unionize and bargain for safe working conditions. Companies don't just give workers rights and safety, men and women have had to fight for these things for 200 years. Had the mines been unionized, the workers could have refused to work under such dangerous conditions and perhaps wouldn't have been in this deadly situation.

I live here in raliegh county wv my dad works at slip ridge which is about 7-10 miles from performance, he was working when this hapenned. He knew each and every one of the miners there. I find it so devestating what everyone is going through. everybody hear knew at least one of them.
