New Zealand's wettest places could change
.
Warmer weather caused by climate change could see a shift in the locations of New Zealand's wettest places. Mountain rainfall specialist Dr Tim Kerr said while current thinking was that our high-altitude hydro dams would fill up as temperatures increased, his research suggested the opposite.
Changing climate lurking behind epic drought and high temps
.
Weather officials have confirmed what people in many states along the southern tier of the U.S. have said for months: this has been the hottest summer on record.
More than 2 percent of Cuba could be underwater by 2050
.
Research into the dangers and vulnerability of the island’s coastline, being carried out by several Cuban scientific institutions, says that in 2050 an area of 2,550 sq. kilometers will be underwater, or 2.32 percent of the nation’s landmass.
Glaciers are growing in Spain, Himalayas, Alaska, Norway, Canada, California, Washington, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Russia, Argentina, Chile, Pakistan and Iceland.
You better tell those glaciers not to grow because global warming propaganda says they are to shrink
Is climate change to blame for famine in the Horn of Africa?
.
So is famine in the Horn of Africa linked to climate change or not? The question arises whenever "extreme weather events" – hurricanes, floods, droughts – hit our TV screens. It's impossible to answer with a simple yes or no – but here's what we think we know so far.
I sure hope this idiot doesn't win the "2000 Election" wow! would we be in big trouble. That's all we need is another "Jimmy Carter", a one term President that could drive the country into the ground. People like Gore make all these promises during the campaign but never follow through, I can't even imagine the damage that a liberal could do in four years!. He could pull this off though? with the media on his side and a bunch of blind Americans that just don't pay attention, it might happen? lol
Impacts of warming temperatures in the news..climate change edition:
.
Malaria threatens Tanzania's highlands
.
Mbeya. Tanzania’s southern highlanders have long worried about pneumonia and other respiratory illnesses brought on by the cool, wet weather. But as climate change contributes to warmer temperatures in the region, residents are facing a new health threat: malaria.
WOW, Japan is HEAVILY investing in green tech. Read about cars, batteries, solar, and L.E.D lighting:
.
Japan to boost green capex by $6.4 billion
.
Capital spending on 153 low-carbon projects across Japan will total $6.4 billion over the next 15 months, using government subsidies as seed money and ranging from production of low-emitting cars, lithium-ion batteries, LED lighting and solar panels to energy-saving electrical appliances.
@Nightversionn Dude, I'm a fellow communist just like you. Once we get carbon taxes implemented on fascist capitalist countries, Global Warming will stop.
@Nightversionn Am I doing a great job in getting the carbon tax implemented on the fascist US? We both know as does Al Gore and his scientists that India and China's CO2 emissions have zero impact on Global Warming, just the US is responsible for it
@JoeJohn90 When REAL FASCIST China will kick (and possibly dominate) USA's ass because of being energetically self-sufficient after the enormous invested in green energy they are making, somebody will remember people like you, and you.... Well you will be happy of escaping the wrath by being already dead, (full in the blanks with an insult -------------)
WOW. LoOLL. What politicial does not fuck up or lie at least 5 times a day. u morons are so stuck up on bashing democratic leaders you ignore the retards ur adhering. nice fucking job. 2 wars in the middle east and debt so deep up ur asses its coming out ur fucking ears and no international friends = the product of 8 years ur almighty god GWBush has given us.
A series of prescriptions on climate change proposed by the representatives of various European countries in Taiwan last week calling for immediate action received mixed reactions from local politicians, academics and the business community.
Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.
They say the debate on global warming has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions
Carbon Trading, Carbon Taxes, government (taxpayer) subsidies
Climate change research done on the Great Lakes region is typically not very useful for policymakers. Researchers from Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Ohio State University seek to change that, thanks to a $4.2 million grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Top northwest firms silent on their climate impacts
.
Most of the world's largest businesses publicly report their impacts on the global climate. But many of the biggest firms in the Northwest - including Costco and Nordstrom - continue to keep their contributions to global warming hidden from the public.
Also, the victums of the criminals with guns are almost unarmed. Over 90% of victums of violent crime are unarmed. It's the unarmed citizens that think that gun control works. They pay for it with their lives. Untill I can strap a cop to my hip, my gun will do for now.
With her U.S. Senate race stuck in a dead heat, Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer tried to appeal to swing voters Tuesday by asserting that she will be a better protector of the environment - and green jobs - than her GOP opponent Carly Fiorina.
"cognitive dissonance" ... wow, what a pseudo-intellectual. Try scientific method and not politically motivated method. Compare REAL facts. CO2 levels FOLLOW rises and drops in temperature. Changes in global temperature DIRECTLY follow solar activity levels. "Global warming can mean colder ..." The horse is DEAD. Stop beating it.
Belief based on science in this matter is good. Belief based on dogma or politics is wrong.
Al Gore says global warming is a planetary emergency. It is difficult to see how this can be so when record low temperatures are being set all over the world. In 2007, hundreds of people died, not from global warming, but from cold weather hazards.
If you think any of the preceding facts can falsify global warming, you're hopelessly naive. Nothing creates cognitive dissonance in the mind of a true believer. In 2005, a Canadian Greenpeace representative explained global warming can mean colder, it can mean drier, it can mean wetter. In other words, all weather variations are evidence for global warming. I can't make this stuff up.
"It’s time to stop wasting money trying to control the climate – this will be no more successful than slaughtering sacrificial goats, even if tax payers and electricity consumers are to be the goats. "
Ancient ocean acidification intimates long recovery from climate change
.
Single-cell life-forms thrive throughout the world's oceans—and have for hundreds of millions of years. The ability to form these shells rests on the amount of calcium carbonate dissolved in the seawater—and that amount depends on the concentrations of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
simple way to prove Al Gore is a liar-1) take a bowl put a big piece of ice in the bowl -2) fill bowl of water to edge of bowl -3) wait for water to overflow the bowl-
WHAT it didnt over flow? wow thats weird-
most artic ice on both poles are floating in the sea-
i know its simple but its proves the point - no 25 foot seas- GORE YOURE A LAIR-
@nutbagbrew102 Nobody clammed that ice melting in the ocean would increase sea levels, melting ice on land would increase sea level. It is pathetic how people like you will find fact like this and do absolutely no research to find out what the response is.
@uwilly23 only a 30% land mass is under either pole at one time or another so that kind of blow off your outburst of wit. you and AL need to hook up at a holiday inn- LOL
@nutbagbrew102 "only a 30% land mass is under either pole" so what?
Every summer in places like greenland large lakes form on top of the ice, within about hour the lakes disappears because they find a crack through to the bedrock, this water then acts as a lubricant allowing the ice to flow into the ocean, as you point out it doesn't even have to melt to raise the sea level. How much of this ice will flow into the ocean and when is very hard to predict so instead there are ranges of values.
@uwilly23 as i have before its not the climate that is changing its the solar ridge cycle and the sun that is causing much of what we say is "warming". in some areas and not in others - after all how many seasons of temp changes have come and gone in 20 million years here on earth- we can not change the earths temp and anyone who believes that has been watching to many star trek movies-
i wish we could but this planet has been here and will be here a long time and lifes too short -LIVE LIFE!
@nutbagbrew102 "we can not change the earths temp" well if you say so, common sense clearly dictates that the universe be constrained by your imagination.
Life has had a huge impact on shaping the earth the very air we breath has been drastically altered by plants in the capturing of energy. If plants can change the world why can't the world most energy intensive creature do so, a creature where each individual consume more energy than other whole entire species uses.
@nutbagbrew102 "i wish we could but this planet has been here and will be here a long time" A meteorite smashed into the earth and killed off 95% of all living thing, the earth survived of cause. Only green fanatics are claiming that global warming will destroy the earth, and to use that as an attack against global warming as a science is basically a straw man argument.
@nutbagbrew102 "solar ridge cycle" I could not find a single reference to this on the internet. The changes in climate, ice ages, interglacial periods etc are caused by change in the earths orbit and orientation. This does not exclude other effect, for example increases in volcanic activity can cool the planet by poring sort into the upper atmosphere reducing the amount of infrared energy that gets thru.
@uwilly23 i m sure it is now reffered to as the solar bandstream or equalor which our and other solar systems cycle though as a heilcal orbit with the shift of dynamic forces of up to ten years once every thosand years- i agree on the volcanic activity as many can leave ash intact for up to a hundred years in the upper atmosphere. this is why gores explaination of events is so troublesome as thier are to many quadtant effects that multiply any formula that would very every event so far.
While we were debating for the last few decades, snow in Mont Kilamanjaro (highest mountain in Africa) has receded significantly (there is almost no snow left). Also, the arctic was nearly ice free in summer 2009, and there was rain in 2010. The amount of hurricanes increased in both numbers and strength. In 2004, a major hurricane appeared for the first time in the Atlantic. Malaria has spread to new heights affecting thousands of people.
‘’’CLIMATE CHANGE confirmed to be serious, extensive’’’
Many of us see planet earth as durable and powerful, but human senses fail to recognize what a surge of new science now confirms: Rapid and serious damage from greenhouse gases, including vast dead zones, now appearing off the Pacific Coast.
Why can't deniers find evidence like the following? Because they don't have the science behind them. Nothing but their claims that it just isn't so. Sorry, but it is so and there are many, many studies that prove it.
Google: National Academy of Sciences Issues Reports on Climate Change
What bothers me is all the MMGW proponents, they loftily tell us how we are killing our sweet green earth yet 99% of them eat intensivly farmed food, wear slave laboured clothes, dont recycle furniture, or cycle, freecycle unwanted items, wear 2nd hand clothes, use 2nd hand untensils, or stop eating dragnet caught food, reuse plastics or eat organic.
Yet these things are the very basics of living without damaging the planet, they just talk platitudes.
@Niightversionn Excuse me, I keep seeing comments from someone who is complaining that you are going out of your way to impersonate them, is it true? and if so why are you doing that?
You gotta admit, it is rather wierd to keep impersonating someone like that.
AGAIN, go to Global Warming 101 to check out when global warming DENIERS get major videos on Youtube shut down because of their multi account abuse, impersonating people, and stalking!!!
@Nightversionn I keep seeing your "quit and desist" comments all over the place, why is someone impersonating you? whats so special about you? (I meant that in a nice way), and why would someone pretend to be someone else, what does it achieve? I think I'll have to ask your stalking shadow that, in fact Im going to do that right now.
Of course Gore wants Gun Control just like all the Elite trying to force Carbon Tax's on all her Citizens- Nevermind the Illegal immigration problems and the incredibly expensive welfare system given to them ON TOP OF the Biggest Robbery of the Middle Class in History known as the bail outs which is now SEVERAL TRILLIONS in magnitude,- ADD FURTHER ON TOP OF THAT- the take over of 1/6TH*** of our ECONOMY through the UNCONSTITUTIONAL HEALTH CARE TAKE OVER-America needs to stand up for herself NOW!
Man made GW comes from one small clique of people with vested interests and have their own public front (the IPCC), yet their opposers come from a big range of people from many different walks of life.
The MMGW is run like a business, it has targets, projections and even profits from the capping tax, money earned goes back into the business in the form of producing turbines and such like. I wonder why many conservation groups dont allign themselves with the IPCC as they did a few years ago.
@dortyhoor A small clique of people? Wrong! This is well established science. It goes back over 30 years and spans the globe. EVERY respected scientific institution concurs that humans are affecting the climate. The IPCC is but one institution. They completed no field studies of their own but they reviewed hundreds. Read what others say like NAS, AAAS, SOCC, NASA, NOAA, AGU, and many more.
@psteveens Most if not all of those groups and organisations are connected or share a collective agenda, ergo, small clique. None allow dissent from the course they have set (which for science based groups is odd).
One example of double think in them is Nasa, Nasa care about GW? alone they generate tonnes of pollution every year in many different ways. Capping them wont stop the pollution.
@dortyhoor Yea, that's a tired old excuse for ignoring the best science available; "All of those that study it are WRONG because they don't agree with ME!" Please. If that's the best you rely on it's pretty sad.
I recommend that you read a few book about this and other aspects of how humans affect the biosphere.
James Hansen (NASA) wrote Storms Of My Grandchildren.
Also try Hot, Flat, And Crowded or The Carbon Age
@psteveens It was reading about the topic that made me begin to doubt it. I beleived it myself for some time, I just became sceptical because of it not in spite of it. I know humanity has caused a lot of damage, theres no doubt of that but I cant agree with what is being fed to people.
Thirty plus years of scientific study and you doubt it? What scientific studies have you read to the contrary? There's been a lot of propaganda spread by the vested interests, mainly CEI, EXXON, CATO, Heartland, etc. Some of the same "scientists" that now spread doubt did so for the tobacco companies.
Google this short film... The Denial Machine Video
@dortyhoor Our opinions should all be based on the best information available. It's only rational. Since ALL the respected studies and scientific institutions basically concur, this is pretty much settled science. Humans ARE warming the planet. Many questions remain; what do we do about it, how bad will it get, what feedback mechanisms will kick in, etc. Here's a good site to learn more. UCSUSA(dot)org
@psteveens The reason I doubt the industry is because of the way they behave, they dont do anything (platitudes apart) to try and halt the very industries that are causing our problems. There has been no real concerted effort to stop deforestation (is Photosynthesis no good now? I know its not the answer but it would help), and the capping sceme is just a license to pollute, it doesnt stop it. Its things like that that I doubt.
@dortyhoor The science that determined we're in trouble is apart from the political and cultural changes necessary to reduce our emissions. Yep, ending deforestation is part of the solution. Cap and trade may be necessary as it takes political, cultural, and economic realities into consideration. I prefer the more simple carbon (pollution) tax with incentives. Sure, we may be too late. But it is irrational and immoral not to try.
@psteveens The Carbon tax is bollocks to be Frank. Why do you think so many countries oppose it? Do you really think its because they all doubt we are experiencing terprature change- all of them? Only a muppet with his head in the sand would.
@ReduceGHGs Change the way companies work, reuse products, stop deforestation, cycle, recycle clothes, furniture, freecycle them to others when youve finished with them, stop using toxic heavy metals, stop eating and producing food from intensive farming, thats a start
@dortyhoor Only a puppet babbles on like there is nothing to be concerned about. Taxing pollution would be a very effective method of changing. One good idea that w/cheney surely did not consider (too many ties to big oil) would have been a $1 "security tax" on each gallon of fuel. The fuel prices were going up anyway. This would have reduce the dependence, the terror threat, and pollution.
@psteveens My head is in the sand because I dont think taxing people is the best way to control pullution? lol, Fuel prices is the tip of the (melting) iceberg. Taxing also encourages intensive farming, stops poorer countries devoloping while the richer ones just carry on as before because they can afford the taxes (did you think the poorer countries oppose capping taxes because they are ALL deniers?)
Try looking at it differently. If you understand what indirect costs or externalities are you will understand. We have costs that we have been shoving off on future generations. Let's try balancing the budget by paying for these costs as we go. That was it will slow the use of polluting activities while encouraging clean solutions. And details... richer/poorer courtries are considered. Long story.
@psteveens Carbon taxing does nothing to stop pollution, it is a license to pollute while those who cannot afford the taxes carry on with their dirty technologies. Is that so hard to understand?
@dortyhoor Wrong. If it costs more (via a carbon pollution tax) in an activity to use a process or product that pollutes, businesses (and consumers) will gravitate to less expensive alternatives. Is this so hard to understand? Perhaps you didn't go to business school.
@qsteveens I understand taxes, in Britain we are taxed to f**k, take cars as one example of taxation, people are taxed six different ways when owning a car (from license to road tax, insurance tax, petrol tax and so on), but car owners carry on regardless.
For poorer countries the taxation payment costs has the effect of them having less money to invest in better technologies while the richer ones just do what they did before except now they have a license to do it
Sorry about your heavy taxes but should we use that for an excuse to continue to pump pollution into the atmosphere? Gore's idea (and other's) was to tax carbon and remove payroll taxes. Perhaps you didn't know that.
It would be self-distructive and irrational to continue to deteriorate our only habitat. Without a healthy habitat civilizations have failed and may again if we continue with business-as-usual.
@qsteveens The taxation idea might look great on paper but it doesnt work in that people just pay the money regardless, passing on the cost from wages, costing etc.
Taxation has lots of pitfalls for those who cannot afford it and so get round it, it creates a two (or more) tier system.
There are other ways than taxation.(insert joke about globally warmed tea parties)
@dortyhoor If the costs (additional taxes) are raised high enough consumers and businesses WILL change their behaviors. We've seen it a prices have gone up already. This is also basic economic theory that proves itself every day.
There may be other ways to reduce global emisisons but I've heard on none as promising; adjusting the market system, capitalism, by adjusting costs, in addition to regulation CO2 pollution.
@qsteveens When taxation becomes high people just carry on paying as before but have less to spend on other things, it human nature, while company taxes just get moved onto consumer prices anyway, why change just because its a carbon tax instead of an import tax? Also this pushes out and ruins smaller business's creating monolopies. Social unrest is also a symptom of high taxation.
Its up to people to change their lifestyles, then companies will change to keep up with consumer needs/wants.
@qsteveens If people changed their lifestyles, started using freecycled objects, recycling furniture, supplementing their diet with own grown produce, only buying local, wearing 2nd hand clothes, cycling instead of driving, gave up eating intensivly farmed meat every day or totally, growing plants to aid Photosynthesis, reusing packaging, composting etc. etc. Small things like that then companies would change to keep up.
@qsteveens Companies adapt to the needs of the consumers, if they think no one will buy their products because of their methods/investments etc. then they will change to keep up with 'market forces', the boycotting of Boots Co. is one example, they went from being the biggest vivisection involved company in Europe (and the largest primate vivisection breeder in the world) to virtually nothing because of public pressure and drops in profit.
@dortyhoor We need to make changes to all aspects of life; many you mentioned. The generation of power is the largest followed by transportation and deforestation. Here's a good book that addresses much of this.
@qsteveens Hey you forgot that you already posted and said that on your other account IReduceGHGs, your also the nitwit who dropped a nasty comment on my page and blocked me before I could respond, you dipshit
• ReduceGHGs
@dortyhoor Yes. We need to stop or drastically alter all activities that pollute. If we don't we shove the costs incurred on to future generations.
I read a good book recently that addresses this very thing. Cradle To Cradle.
@psteveens Talk about DENIAL............ Google - MEDIEVAL WARM PERIOD PEER REVIEW . I think you have P C D . ( Past Climate Denial ). Most Peer reviewed studies show the planet to be Hotter before Fossil fuel use. Your " IPCC " is NOT the endall in Climate science . Most studies (Peer review) show this to be true , but the IPCC ignores them .
@camcheck Thanks but your "link" is meaningless. Have you read the studies that research the human aspect of climate change? It doesn't sound like it. Since way back in 1979 with NAS's The Charney Report studies have found that HUMANS are warming the planet and that the consequences are not good. MANY studies. Any respected contrary studies? No. Why not. Why do ALL the respected institutions see it one way? This is established science. Where've you been?
@camcheck "Google - MEDIEVAL WARM PERIOD PEER REVIEW" this has been shown to be a local european phenomena, even today europe is warmer for its latitude thanks to ocean currents. You know this, it has been stated repeatedly either explain why it is wrong or move on. Yes there have been time when the planet was hotter, there have been times when it was colder also, so what. It does not mean we can not be responsible for changes in the climate.
@uwilly23 It would seem that Harvard does NOT agree with you.......... Google - CFA HARVARD EDU 0310 . They agree with the Majority of peer reviewed stuides that show the Medieval Warm Period to be WARMER than today.
A real INCONVENIENT TRUTH to Gore & his Goldman Sachs partners & AGW Cult
Here's a great expose of what the GATT expansion to the WTO (orchestrated by Clinton/Gore) has produced in terms of environmental damage by moving manufacturing in the West that had Environmental laws to pollute with impunity in the Socialists/Limousine Liberals current favorite failed utopia, China
Although annual global expenditure on renewable energy projects is expected to jump from $90bn (£59bn) last year to $150bn by 2020, it will need to increase by up to a third more if the world is to avoid dangerous levels of climate change.
Floridians especially should be loath to lend much credence to the cries of global warming naysayers about "climategate," the intercepted e-mail chatter about the weaknesses in warming science, or "snowpocalypse," which recently smothered Washington, D.C., in two feet of snow.
Over the next 100 years, rising global temperatures are expected to cause seas to rise five feet in the vicinity of Florida, swamping the state's coastlines, pushing salt into underground wells and potentially flooding the Everglades with seawater, a group of top Arctic scientists warned.
China overtook the United States for the first time last year in the race to invest in wind, solar and other sources of so-called "clean energy", according to a comprehensive new report.
You're 69 year old sociopath stalkerYoure a global warming denier with no peer-reviewed science so all you can do is play silly gamesfurther proof global warming deniers are frauds
A new study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters says that even if the sun commenced a very long period of low activity, it cannot put the brakes on the relentless rise of global temperatures caused by greenhouse gases.
Our blank sun: Solar minimum went on for a little longer than expected during Solar Cycle 24. Unfortunately, it didn't help our warming climate much (NASA/ESA/SOHO).

UN faces problems coping with natural disasters, minister warns.
By 2015, it is predicted that the number of people worldwide who will need to be rescued from natural catastrophes will rise by more than 100 million as more hurricanes, typhoons, floods and mudslides triggered by climate change add to the toll caused by earthquakes and man-made disasters
Millions of CO2 producers & environmental polluters want to be added to the US polluting lifestyle so they can increase GHGs, destroy wildlife habitat, & increase US environmental degradation. Gore, phony environmental organizations, & the AGW Cult have not or will not do anything to stop it. Its not convenient to the revolution & stopping GHG increases, environmental degradation, or protecting wildlife is not their goal
A federal judge has approved a first-of-its-kind settlement requiring the government to suspend 38,000 acres of oil and gas leases in Montana so it can gauge how oil field activities contribute to climate change.
At issue are the greenhouse gases emitted by drilling machinery and industry practices such as venting natural gas directly into the atmosphere.
Birds are losing the battle to survive in the West, that pollutes more according to Nightv's alter ego Goog2k, with that being said, Gore/DEmovicks & the hijacked environmental organizations, are destroying wildlife habitat through increasing human population, by adding millions of third world people to the West's polluting lifestyle and thus increasing GHG's, environmental degradation, & killing Birds & wildlife.
Australia "0.7 degrees warmer over past 50 years."
Australia's top science body said on Monday temperatures had risen about 0.7 degrees Celsius (0.44 Fahrenheit) in the last 50 years, describing the finding as "significant evidence" of climate change.
AUSTIN -- Global climate change poses a significant threat to migratory bird populations, which are already stressed by the loss of habitat and environmental pollution, according to a report released Thursday.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar joined scientists and conservation organizers at an Austin news conference to release the study, "The State of the Birds: 2010 Report on Climate Change."
Donald Trump is mad so he said Gore should have his Nobel taken from him. Then he said the Chinese think American politicians are the dumbest people in the world because he is a rasist!

We are protectors of this earth and all of its creatures!!!! We will save it from the NEO-CONS because they are denialists and racists and stupid and the live in the MOUNTAINS. They dont know about how smart people are in big cities because they are INBRED HICKS.
Keep in mind Gore is tied in to profit off this GW charade According to Deborah Cory Barnes, author of The Money and Connections Behind Al Gores Carbon Crusade, Al Gore started Generation Investment Management (GIM) with co founder Hank Paulson He was the Treasury Secretary. He is also the former CEO of Goldman Sachs. (Didnt Goldman Sachs just get billions in Federal Reserve pledges, bailouts&Tarp?)
GW another Goldman Sachs scheme to fleece the taxpayers
Our climate predictions are coming true. Many observed climate changes, like rising sea level, are occurring at the high end of the predicted changes...
Some changes, like melting sea ice, are happening faster than the anticipated worst case.
Unless mankind takes strong steps to halt and reverse the rapid global increase of fossil fuel use and the other activities that cause climate change, and does so in a very few years, severe climate change is inevitable.
Urgent action is needed if global warming is to be limited to moderate levels.
Forbes says he was diagnosed as having a personality disorder called Munchausen by proxy with paranoid delusions because they are all simply RASISTS!!!!
So NIghtyNight...."changes...happening faster than the anticipated worst case". Wow! You admit the models are wrong and that something else is causing this Global Warming? The Sun perhaps?
Al Gore brings emotional fervor to his carbon crusade He travels the country displaying charts&graphs quoting scientific experts& appealing to philosophers&religious leaders to save the planet from global warming But he says nothing about his business partners who yearn to trade on the emerging carbon market And the media pay no attention to the companies offering carbon advisory services that will profit from federal carbon emission controls
It's not just climate change why we need to take care of the environment, or global warming.
''The American Lung Association reports that there are 24,000 premature deaths every year due to coal power plant pollution. In addition, the ALA research estimates that coal pollution causes over 550,000 asthma attacks, 38,000 heart attacks and 12,000 hospital admissions.'''

Just remember everyone, according to the Cult of AGW, less people less CO2. So the solution is to kill more CO2 producers. In essence these AGW nutjobs are pro-war, pro-murder, pro-abortion (go figure).
What a slimey bunch. Less people, less Anthropogenic Global Warming!
If AGW is real then they should be happy all the people that died in Haiti. Less people less CO2. So that means pro-AGW means they are pro-WAR. Did they celebrate when they murdered over 500,ooo Iraqi children through sanctions under Clinton/Gore? Are they going to be happy when Iran gets attacked? Less people less Global Warming?
Maybe the AGW scientists can start injecting toxins in the vaccinations to sterilize & kill people to reduce the CO2 producers.

Goldman Sachs Wants You to Pay-by-the-Mile to Drive on U.S. Roadways
Wall Street banks, led by Goldman Sachs, started advising states across the nation on how to raise fast money by diverting the most necessary publicly owned assets—roads—into private ownership
Goldman Sachs has played a remarkable role advising states on how to structure privatization deals—even while positioning itself to invest in the toll road market.
The Obama administration declined to list the American pika as endangered, denying environmentalists' contention that the tiny mountain-dwelling creature will be unable to survive climate change.
The rabbit-like mammal lives on the high slopes of California's Sierra Nevada and in parts of nine other Western states.

The Dutch reported the other week that there has been no increase in sea levels. You think they would know with all the dikes and pumps they have
Nasa reports both polar caps are growing. The arctic by 27% over the past several years and the antarctic slightly less but it was never shrinking in the first place

Scientists call for better way to do climate report; errors tarnish Nobel Prize-winning effort
By SETH BORENSTEIN AP Science Writer
WASHINGTON February 10, 2010 (AP)
The Associated Press
The flaws — and the erosion they've caused in public confidence — have some scientists calling for drastic changes in how future UN climate reports are done
and a growing clamor for the resignation of the chairman of the IPCC (Choo Choo Charlie)
TIANJIN, China — China vaulted past competitors in Denmark, Germany, Spain and the United States last year to become the worlds largest maker of wind turbines, and is poised to expand even further this year.
Global warming sceptics are now trying to convince us that we are heading in to a new mini ice age - just as the latest UAH satellite data shows that January 2010 was globally the warmest on record!
Sceptics have tried to use the recent cold winter weather across some parts of the Northern Hemisphere as evidence for Global cooling, but failed to mention that the cold weather was NOT global!
You say "2010 was globally the warmest on record"? Well, 2010 still has 46 out of 52 weeks left! Not much of a record! And YES DUMB ASS: The cold weather IS global. The real record shows that we have been cooling since 2002 and there has been NO warming in 15 years. That is new info from your king, your god, Professor Phil Jones. You won't believe it because it is your cult and your reason for living. Give it up already!
More Than 700 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims
700 dissenting scientists from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made by the UN IPCC & Al Gore This new 2009 U.S. Senate Minority Report -- updated from 2007s-features the skeptical voices of over 700 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC AGW claims
Dude, you have posted a comment on every single video which tells the truth about gw lies. Why do you even bother? Are you so insecure about what you believe that you have to argue your points to people who already know the facts? Why argue, no one is going to believe it. Get a life and stop drueling on your pc all day.
Remember PC zombies: If its below ave temp cold, its global warming, if its ave temp cold, its global warming, if its above ave temp cold, its global warming, if its below ave temp warm, its global warming, if its ave temp warm its global warming, & if its above ave temp warm its global cooling
Science has prevailed on the issue of global warming, 3,000 of the best scientists in the world have issued 4 reports all unanimous that global warming is happening, and the last called the cause unequivocal.
There are still some people who will believe anything, and others who will argue for the oil companies (oil trolls), we do not take them seriously any more than we do people from the flat earth society.
The consensus on the science is as settled as it ever gets in science.
Wow, you really are pathetic. Well, if thats what you want to believe, even with all of the overwhelming evedence debunking Gores dooms day science, then I'm not going to argue with you. Your parochial mind will never broaden...maybe someday it will...maybe not. Believe what you want to.

i know its simple but its proves the point - no 25 foot seas- GORE YOURE A LAIR-
nutbagbrew102 1 year ago
@nutbagbrew102 Nobody clammed that ice melting in the ocean would increase sea levels, melting ice on land would increase sea level. It is pathetic how people like you will find fact like this and do absolutely no research to find out what the response is.
uwilly23 1 year ago
@uwilly23 only a 30% land mass is under either pole at one time or another so that kind of blow off your outburst of wit. you and AL need to hook up at a holiday inn- LOL
nutbagbrew102 1 year ago
@nutbagbrew102 "only a 30% land mass is under either pole" so what?
Every summer in places like greenland large lakes form on top of the ice, within about hour the lakes disappears because they find a crack through to the bedrock, this water then acts as a lubricant allowing the ice to flow into the ocean, as you point out it doesn't even have to melt to raise the sea level. How much of this ice will flow into the ocean and when is very hard to predict so instead there are ranges of values.
uwilly23 1 year ago
@uwilly23 as i have before its not the climate that is changing its the solar ridge cycle and the sun that is causing much of what we say is "warming". in some areas and not in others - after all how many seasons of temp changes have come and gone in 20 million years here on earth- we can not change the earths temp and anyone who believes that has been watching to many star trek movies-
i wish we could but this planet has been here and will be here a long time and lifes too short -LIVE LIFE!
nutbagbrew102 1 year ago
@nutbagbrew102 "we can not change the earths temp" well if you say so, common sense clearly dictates that the universe be constrained by your imagination.
Life has had a huge impact on shaping the earth the very air we breath has been drastically altered by plants in the capturing of energy. If plants can change the world why can't the world most energy intensive creature do so, a creature where each individual consume more energy than other whole entire species uses.
uwilly23 1 year ago
@nutbagbrew102 "i wish we could but this planet has been here and will be here a long time" A meteorite smashed into the earth and killed off 95% of all living thing, the earth survived of cause. Only green fanatics are claiming that global warming will destroy the earth, and to use that as an attack against global warming as a science is basically a straw man argument.
uwilly23 1 year ago
@nutbagbrew102 "solar ridge cycle" I could not find a single reference to this on the internet. The changes in climate, ice ages, interglacial periods etc are caused by change in the earths orbit and orientation. This does not exclude other effect, for example increases in volcanic activity can cool the planet by poring sort into the upper atmosphere reducing the amount of infrared energy that gets thru.
uwilly23 1 year ago
@uwilly23 i m sure it is now reffered to as the solar bandstream or equalor which our and other solar systems cycle though as a heilcal orbit with the shift of dynamic forces of up to ten years once every thosand years- i agree on the volcanic activity as many can leave ash intact for up to a hundred years in the upper atmosphere. this is why gores explaination of events is so troublesome as thier are to many quadtant effects that multiply any formula that would very every event so far.

@dortyhoor A small clique of people? Wrong! This is well established science. It goes back over 30 years and spans the globe. psteveens 1 year ago
Its things like that that I doubt.
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@dortyhoor The science that determined we're in trouble is apart from the political and cultural changes necessary to reduce our emissions. Yep, ending deforestation is part of the solution. Cap and trade may be necessary as it takes political, cultural, and economic realities into consideration. I prefer the more simple carbon (pollution) tax with incentives. Sure, we may be too late. But it is irrational and immoral not to try.
psteveens 1 year ago
@psteveens The Carbon tax is bollocks to be Frank. Why do you think so many countries oppose it? Do you really think its because they all doubt we are experiencing terprature change- all of them? Only a muppet with his head in the sand would.

Head out of the sand yet?
psteveens 1 year ago
@psteveens My head is in the sand because I dont think taxing people is the best way to control pullution? lol, Fuel prices is the tip of the (melting) iceberg. Taxing also encourages intensive farming, stops poorer countries devoloping while the richer ones just carry on as before because they can afford the taxes (did you think the poorer countries oppose capping taxes because they are ALL deniers?)
Wake up
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@dortyhoor
Long story.
psteveens 1 year ago
@psteveens Carbon taxing does nothing to stop pollution, it is a license to pollute while those who cannot afford the taxes carry on with their dirty technologies. Is that so hard to understand?
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@dortyhoor Wrong. If it costs more (via a carbon pollution tax) in an activity to use a process or product that pollutes, businesses (and consumers) will gravitate to less expensive alternatives. Is this so hard to understand? Perhaps you didn't go to business school.
qsteveens 1 year ago
@qsteveens I understand taxes, in Britain we are taxed to f**k, take cars as one example of taxation, people are taxed six different ways when owning a car (from license to road tax, insurance tax, petrol tax and so on), but car owners carry on regardless.
For poorer countries the taxation payment costs has the effect of them having less money to invest in better technologies while the richer ones just do what they did before except now they have a license to do it
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@dortyhoor
Without a healthy habitat civilizations have failed and may again if we continue with business-as-usual.
qsteveens 1 year ago
@qsteveens The taxation idea might look great on paper but it doesnt work in that people just pay the money regardless, passing on the cost from wages, costing etc.
Taxation has lots of pitfalls for those who cannot afford it and so get round it, it creates a two (or more) tier system.
There are other ways than taxation.(insert joke about globally warmed tea parties)
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@dortyhoor If the costs (additional taxes) are raised high enough consumers and businesses WILL change their behaviors. We've seen it a prices have gone up already. This is also basic economic theory that proves itself every day.
There may be other ways to reduce global emisisons but I've heard on none as promising; adjusting the market system, capitalism, by adjusting costs, in addition to regulation CO2 pollution.
qsteveens 1 year ago
@qsteveens When taxation becomes high people just carry on paying as before but have less to spend on other things, it human nature, while company taxes just get moved onto consumer prices anyway, why change just because its a carbon tax instead of an import tax? Also this pushes out and ruins smaller business's creating monolopies. Social unrest is also a symptom of high taxation.
Its up to people to change their lifestyles, then companies will change to keep up with consumer needs/wants.
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@qsteveens If people changed their lifestyles, started using freecycled objects, recycling furniture, supplementing their diet with own grown produce, only buying local, wearing 2nd hand clothes, cycling instead of driving, gave up eating intensivly farmed meat every day or totally, growing plants to aid Photosynthesis, reusing packaging, composting etc. etc. Small things like that then companies would change to keep up.
dortyhoor 1 year ago
@qsteveens Companies adapt to the needs of the consumers, if they think no one will buy their products because of their methods/investments etc. then they will change to keep up with 'market forces', the boycotting of Boots Co. is one example, they went from being the biggest vivisection involved company in Europe (and the largest primate vivisection breeder in the world) to virtually nothing because of public pressure and drops in profit.

Most studies (Peer review) show this to be true , but the IPCC ignores them .
camcheck 1 year ago
@camcheck Thanks but your "link" is meaningless. Have you read the studies that research the human aspect of climate change? It doesn't sound like it. Since way back in 1979 with NAS's The Charney Report studies have found that HUMANS are warming the planet and that the consequences are not good. MANY studies. Any respected contrary studies? No. Why not. Why do ALL the respected institutions see it one way? This is established science. Where've you been?
psteveens 1 year ago
@camcheck "Google - MEDIEVAL WARM PERIOD PEER REVIEW" this has been shown to be a local european phenomena, even today europe is warmer for its latitude thanks to ocean currents. You know this, it has been stated repeatedly either explain why it is wrong or move on. Yes there have been time when the planet was hotter, there have been times when it was colder also, so what. It does not mean we can not be responsible for changes in the climate.

Floridians especially should be loath to lend much credence to the cries of global warming naysayers about "climategate," the intercepted e-mail chatter about the weaknesses in warming science, or "snowpocalypse," which recently smothered Washington, D.C., in two feet of snow.

THE SUN CAN'T SAVE US FROM GLOBAL WARMING
Ian O'Neill Mon Mar 15, 2010
A new study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters says that even if the sun commenced a very long period of low activity, it cannot put the brakes on the relentless rise of global temperatures caused by greenhouse gases.
Our blank sun: Solar minimum went on for a little longer than expected during Solar Cycle 24. Unfortunately, it didn't help our warming climate much (NASA/ESA/SOHO).

Climate change cited as Montana leases suspended
By MATTHEW BROWN
AP
March 18, 2010
BILLINGS, MONT.
