  • I bet this is how they make all dem scary sounds in dem vid'ja games and movies.

  • Wow! Needs more views!!

  • It says sound engineer: Amon. As in amon tobin?

  • Genius.

  • I saw you in concert with Cibo Matto earlier today, and was fascinated especially with this one. all the sounds were so big and just coming from one person. If I could do things like this, I wouldn't even need a band!!

  • @KenSkaii Yeah, but you know..after awhile..you miss the band!

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT

  • @lestatv3 I take it you like it.

  • this is totally baby making music.

  • @MizzLizzers hmmm..for making WHAT KIND of babies??!!

  • @sxipshirey sweet crazy-haired audio babies. of course.

  • Not sure what you are....musician or magician! Where do you come up with things like putting paperclips on guitar strings? Amazing.

  • @NinaQueenofSpades mugician?

  • You need to make the music for a Lovecraft film.

  • amazing, I can not wait to share this with others. You are such an inspiration.

  • Mind blowing.. I love it.

  • Is he using some kind of granular synthesis patch? 0_o

  • @cephal0p0d nope..just using two guitar pedals. a digitech reverb and an old boss pitchshifter..both discontinued..and paper clips..and a harmonica.

  • @sxipshirey

    Amazing. Thanks!

  • You make incredible sounds.

  • Amazingly beautiful & moving. (did I mention amazing? oh, oh yes, I did.) Amazing!

  • I'm pretty sure if I closed my eyes and listened to this... I'd think I was about to be hit by a train.

  • SXIP! You could totally make a horror video game soundtrack! That would be AMAZING.

  • @signumfas that has been said often about this piece and I understand why but for me it would ruin it because this for me is beautiful and about the deep aspects of trains...not horror. BUT that being said. I just did music for a book trailer that is horror of a type...and it uses this technique.

  • @sxipshirey Oh for sure. I can totally see what you were trying to do with this particular piece, I'm just saying the techniques you used, you could easily make a horror-soundtrack sounding series of songs and they'd be fantastic. A horror book trailer? I'll have to check it out!

  • @signumfas I know! Trust me, people tell me this all the time and I DO get why! I

  • @sxipshirey ... Might we ask what book?

  • @fenryswlf Not yet, but if you follow me on twitter, you will know in two days!

  • @sxipshirey I do, in fact. I have a suspicion and a hope and I'm looking forward to the announcement.

  • @fenryswlf No, not HIM...a female writer...

  • You are a wizard of noise and a scribe of sound my finely haired friend. I could not be more proud to have a buddy like you in the world! :D

  • Genius. Pure Genius.

  • You are the Nikola Tesla of sound.

  • I should clarify my comment. Otherworldly. I only hope and fear you will or will not levitate out of reach.

  • Crazy good!

  • Wow. Great stuff, Sxip. Always a pleasure to see what new stuff you come up with.

  • @detheelza thank you

  • I Love this. And yeah good use of paper clips . Even though they need you more than you need them!!!

  • Like the use of the harp Sxip. Couldn't work out the function of the paperclips though.

  • Sxip, you rock my world. But then you know that already. Keep being awesome.

  • Incredible.

  • That's some crazy cool shiznazzle, Skip!

  • Was the guitar the only instrument used in the audio? If so, HOLY SHIT.

  • Amazing and Crazy all at the same time. :)
