TomTom Mobile GPS Nav App on the Nokia N97

Don't waste your time this version of Tomtom was for n95.

You cannot use your qwerty keyboard but type on 0-9 till having the right letter.

Further, the right key is not present on the 97.

There are apps that emulate the internal device as a BT one but with all these make the software very unconvenient.

Try Sygic, Garmin or nDrive instead of this loss of time of I agree, good software.

@ratinox0451 I fully agree. Its not worth it to install Tomtom on the N97 since its not fully usable. So people... quit asking me how to install it!

Ovi Maps 3.03 is crap It installs to your C drive eats the memory and always takes you the long way to where you are going... It is crap compared to Tom Tom which will ALWAYS take you the fastest way

ovi maps is now free and works almost as good as a tom tom, but you must get the latest ovi maps software for the free version

the numbers are used on the n97 as if they were numbers on any other phone ie. number 2 does abc, number 3 does def and so on.

has anyone else been able to work out the left and right click buttons ?

i manage to get the tomtom by the following

Copy the Key folder to the root of your pc's c: drive

Connect your phone to your pc with the usb cable.

Copy the CONTENTS of the TomTom_6.01 folder (NOT the folder itself) to your memory card.

Copy the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of­_Ireland folder to your memory card.

change the date to 2006, and install

TomTom should install,

How did you manage to install tomtom 6 on the nokia n97 ?

It took me awhile but it seems you have to install on the phone hard disk and not the "memory card". Still, I don't think its worth it to install Tomtom on the N97. You can't use the internal GPS receiver and touchscreen doesn't work. Installing Sygic Mobile is more worth it.
