@timher01 yeah...you could actually set 4 delays at once if you wanted. you can use 4 effects at the same time whether that be all delay, delay mod dist verb, or w/e possibilities are endless

I saw the M-13 in use today at Northridge in Plymouth, MI. What an amazing unit. Thanks for the U2 demo showing us the range of songs that this can handle. Pretty Cool!!! As always, whether it's U2 or a cover...I cried during "Mothers of the Disappeared". U2 goes right to the heart of the matter in music and message. Thanks again for posting this video. hey man, good playing. i just got the unit myself and saw the "edge" preset but when i click on it all units go to bypass. I may have inadvertently erased everything. Can you tell me besides delay what other effects are used on the edge setup.

Getting the right sound is the key to most U2 Songs All I Want Is You, the delay time is 478 ms and Bad 467ms tuned down half a step. to use the m13 your,e better using tap tempo to get the dotted 8th tap twice each time that will give you the dotted 8th note your speed parameters on the delays are no good you still need to tweak the settings but its worth every penny that is the Octo on the Verbzilla on Mothers Of The Dissapeared and to play it is better than the studio version i reckon

so with this pedal you can dial in the dotted 8th notes? can you still use the tap tempo? my biggest complaint with the DL4 is what i thought was the crappy rhythmic delay. 2nd: how are the distortion channels?

you can use the note values only with tap tempo. but you cant set for example 335 ms and a dotted 8th at the same time. either its dotted 8th and tap or just 335 ms. thats the only complaint i would have

- Can you get the Digitech Whammy pedal's sound?

- Line6 M13 can rename the patch that you create?

- Line6 M13 has a dedicated switch boost for solos?

I can answer a couple of your questions...:

No whammy sounds on here,

you can rename the "scene" or set of pedals that you configure

there is no dedicated switch boost but you can use a boost comp or other dist. modeler for something like that.

I use the tap tempo. So to get dotted eight, just set the Time parameter to a dotted eight note, and hit the Tap button with your foot a couple of times to the beat you want to play in. For some great delays, check out the stock U2 preset called "On the Edge". The delay under button 4A is set up to a digital delay with modulation, and dotted eight rhythm. Just tap in the beat you want to use.

You should click the Scene button and then all 12 Scenes should be loaded (3 in each display) Then just select the On the Edge Scene located in the 3rd display, first one in the list.

On the Edge is a good starting point for sure, but as with all presets, they have to be tweaked to sound good with your own individual setup, amps etc...
