  • should i do this for a 7th GRADE science project? or is it too eh...kiddy??

  • @curiouscrush101 as long as you spend time researching the actual REASON why the results work the way they do, you've learned something... making it an excellent project with a fascinating visual effect. Can't beat that!

  • any type of liquid soap?

  • Haha... Globules

  • what is the scientific explanation for this? i need it for a science fair in my school...

  • @letilatte Probaly the soap having a reaction to the food dye and something like that?

  • Get the man a glass of malk

  • he says milk wrong

  • Me 2

  • I'm SOOO using this for my 6th grade science project. OH YEAH!

  • can u use it with melted vanilla ice cream?

  • haha my news channel

  • I'm entering a Science contest for The Musuem of Natural History at New York City with this project!

  • this vid was just lmao funny

  • If I want to do this for the science fair, what would the question be?

  • You can do this with water and pepper and it works as well.

  • he says malk

  • just letting people know, i tried this a min ago but didnt use food colouring. Simple coloured medicines such as Benylin/ibruprophen work too!

  • i am TOTALLY doin this

  • do u have 2 use whole milk??

  • im doing this for the science fair

  • I watch your videos from Spain guysss, you are amaziiing!

  • I think I did this in science class

  • A while back, I think we did this in mrs. Abbott's science class

  • I did this in science class

  • This is on my birthday i watched it

  • this is trippy

  • im going to eat soap untill i loose wight =.]

  • can i substitute something else for food coloring? :(

  • that is cool

  • Steve:put the swab in the middle of the green one and leave it there

Mark : the green one? leave it there?

    Steve: yea , anyone

Mark: oh wow look at that!.. -takes it out-

    steve: leave it inside

Mark: oh leave it in the middle

  • that is so cool!

  • Milk Is pretty expensive in my country x-P

  • How about using some olive oil :)?

  • My name is Maria and your experiment is so cool

  • if it works with milk, will it work with oil? or just only with milk? OH what about yoghurt :P

  • @dikkedoperwt I'm using this experiment for a school project. I tried with oil, the color moves very, very slowly in the oil. Takes about a minute for it to spread. I tried with low fat milk, I believe the color moved slower than in the whole milk.

  • Im Doing This tomorrow for my science project and my variable is which type of milk makes the color spread better

  • The theme tune is from I-movie! :P

  • @MrTomrocks10 yes.

  • It does work,I tried it......

Thanks 4 giving the topic 4 my science expo!!!

  • 1:37 Haha, he looks happy like a child :)

  • my mom got mad i used her milk and it didnt work as wekk =(

  • At 1:41 it looks like a face

  • errr.... can you still drink it?

  • If this experiment requires fat, then would something fatty like melted butter work too?

  • @stoprainlty or american children? Ooow how mean I am :(

  • is the purpose of this experiment, to show how soap can pick grease up ??

  • I did this in science class :D

  • trippy...

  • Why didn't I find these videos earlier and do more research on them?!?! So I could prolly do some of these in 8th Grd science fair. .. I'm sophomore highschool now :o

  • Melk. Lol. It sounds like he is saying Melk.

  • We did this in class last week! :D

  • I heard him say that his milk was moving a little bit because he just poured it...how long do we leave the milk before putting in the dye? Or does that even matter? lol I'm wanting to try out some of his experiments...this one included :)

  • what kind of milk was that ? it is a ordinary milk or a fresh milk ? thanks

  • This is my news guy. colorado news

  • wonderful

  • Does it have to be Dawn? Or can it be any kind of soap brand

  • So actually you are the company and... Steve is just employed by you? Cool

  • Does Steve Spangler still run his channel or does his company do it or something?

  • @OrigamiMotion we have a team of people at our company monitoring our channels... Steve is one of them!

  • Omg!!! I am SO subscribing!!!

  • try it with a small papercup filtered water and nail polish (though not all work) that's how they do some beautiful nail artwork...

  • Dear Steve spangler,

Thank you for STEALING MY PROJECT! i did this over a year ago before this video. i removed the video a week ago. you commented on it saying nice video and now this happens.

  • @trey54980 are you claiming to have created this experiment? Steve has been doing this experiment for over 20 years... and he wasn't the one who came up with it. Also, this video is actually from 2007. We didn't get around to posting it until last year. Sorry you feel that we stole it from you.

  • @Stevespanglerscience Ignore trey, he is obviously trolling.

  • @Stevespanglerscience LOLZ!!!!! you actually believed it!!! i was kidding around with you. i love ur guy's prolects!

  • @Stevespanglerscience in all fair honesty i believe your "team" did steal it.... if it was done in 2007 why wasnt it uploaded? why did u "magically" find it and have "time" for it 3 years later? another thing is if he was really doing it for 20 years as you claim then why wasnt it uploaded sooner? maybe 2006? or just any other time in particular why 3 years after? and why post a comment on another video saying "nice video" one week before releasing this one?

  • @143622010 lol God it was a joke chill

  • @143622010 the guy admitted to joking. your thicker than a high security safe >.>

  • @Stevespanglerscience and lastly if steve has been doing it for 20 years why is he so intrigued about it that he has to comment saying "nice video"? if hes seen it for 20 years theres no need to comment. and i also dont see him commenting on any other science videos

  • @143622010 wow... no need to be so angry! Sorry you feel that way. We try to comment on other science videos when we get the chance because it's always great to see other people creating awesome science videos! Read my comment above again... I did say that Steve did not create this experiment. It was something he learned through the years. I can assure you this video was from 2007, but think what you want.

  • @Stevespanglerscience >_< god u have the most interesting vids ever like i used this for my science fair and i won first place :P Thanks :33

  • @anim3lov congratulations! Keep up the great work!

  • @143622010 woah, calm the crap down! does it really matter to you that much??? sheesh...

  • damn this is better than mine

  • This is my next science homework done :)

  • me and my friend shaina r doing this 4 our 6th grade science project and we r fuckn excited

  • Does it have to be whole milk or could it be 2%?

  • what king of milk did you use?

  • can u use food dye?

  • ARE THEY WIZARDS ?

  • Math can't do that LOL!

  • Try with a deeper plate, put the color drops around in a circle, and drop some soap in the middle where there are no colors, and then just watch it.

  • lame. get a new experiment

  • sweet yall should have ur own tv show :D

  • why is THIS sries gone?? :(

  • @MichaelJackson787 its not... check out our other channel

    YouTube . com/SpanglerScienceTV

It has all of these segments as well as his other appearances on TV.

  • Gain dish soap sucks! it barely does anything to the milk

  • 6 people don't have a mind.

  • soap is goooooooooood XD!

  • At first I never cared 2 see this. Then I fell in love wit this.

    It's all about science.

  • i know how to do this!!!!

  • i know how to do this!!!!

  • i wish steve was my dad

  • I tried this my food colouring was to liquidy and just moved around :(

  • it works i tested it :D

  • I did this in science xD. I drank it afterwards...

  • i did it but my mom got mad cuz i wasted her milk

  • @greenbaypackers64 Its not waste. Its FOOD COLORING. You can still drink it :3

  • @0Nikeenarutolover0 Milk with soap? What are you thinking xD?

  • @0Nikeenarutolover0 But once you put the Soap in, it becomes toxic. If you drink that, you will be really sick for days afterwards.

  • @MasochisticMalice you drank it?

  • @MasochisticMalice you drank the milk?

  • @MasochisticMalice soap doesnt make it toxic it just doesnt taste all that good well it depends on the soap your using

  • @0Nikeenarutolover0 he dipped soap in there...

  • Those are the colors of the google logo.

  • what kind of milk is that? whole? half and half? or just anything even powdered or fresh?

  • @cutekodawsabinila at the beginning the reporter says its whole milk

  • @cutekodawsabinila he says whole milk

  • @cutekodawsabinila its whole

  • Howwwwwwwwwwww amazing!

  • And then can be drinked?

  • @Chiparatualin Common sense,OF COURSE NOT! xD Wierd question.

  • whole milk is shit in the UK. Even though you get the WHOLE MILK (as in FULL FAT MILK), they still skim it! There is hardly any cream in it, infact the WHOLE MILK is only 2% fat. For this reason, it doesn't work with our cheap-ass milk.

  • you would the worlds awesome science person i know

  • i really like all of your videos. I use your experiments with my little brother. he loves them, and he's a big fan of yours. :)
