Is it just me, but ever since SF4 first came out. I always thought for being one of the only people to survive Akuma's raging demon,AND being Ryu, Ken, Sean, Sakura, Dan and a few other's sensei, Capcom sure made Gouken a REALLY lame and awkward character.

Hmm, just a question here. I'm not expert with Gouken, but definitely play him when I'm resting from my mains. But, I was just wondering does the back throw (Amaoroshi?), into the jump m.punch, landing into Ultra 1 still work in AE? I've been trying, been mimicking the exact motions of the video but he's just not connecting with it.

Have to time it right and get only 1 hit on J. mp, not 2 hits. Overall it's a very tricky combo that is not worth the effort. Just do the Ultra I say. Alof of these combos are so impractical that you'll never see a gouken player use them.

Gouken absolutely ROCKS. He has some really strong moves and he's lethal in the hands of an strong player online. There aren't too nearly as many good Goukens on Xbox live as there are kens, Ryus, Sagats and Akumas. Get ya Gouken on people!!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but it's assumed that these are being done on an opponent that isn't turtling or mashing DP; or do these resets/mixups prevent that from working?

resets/mixups It can ether be crossup or throw.

DP won't work well with crossup. and if you try to block you might get throw.

it 50/50 chance of mind game.

but if you know you enemy or see how he react it alot more easy.

I love doing Gouken's combo reset into ultra which does 100% hp to most characters though however easy it is to do you can only realistically pull half off online before somebody dies.

(optional full range charge hadoken EX)Hyakkishu> Hyakki Gozan, HP EX Senkugoshoha, air gohadoken, ex go hadoken, C.lk just as they reach the floor then back grab into ultra.

It's really basic to pull off, it's just a full screen reset of his B&B wall combo really. It's the best 100% combo I know though.

Nice try, but men most of these combos does not work , the oponent can block in many times .For example in the first combo the oponent can block after Gouken's F,HCF+kick . Keep trying, or in the third combo the oponent can block after the kick in the air .

hmmm actually some of these mixups are really not worth it at all, like dont use em PERIODl!! so risky ,specialy against any charecter who can fast reversal into dragon punchs. though some of them where they end with f,d,f/d+k >> f+LP+LK are beautiful !! :D

Some of these are expensive meter burners and would probably be less damaging than the cross up medium kick, standing fierce, fierce palm, super, catches anywhere on screen. Better damage for the meter :p

Gouken isn't really a cancel character because his natural combo damage is high any way.

His counters are great for pressure relief, making opponants back off, his ex palm Is a good deterrant to throwing out projectiles and his ex tats is a great anti-air and is very fast, why waste meter?

Not really. The LK Dive Kicks resets are cross-ups that would make the EX SRK wiff.

That, or a baiting after the reset could probably end the game in another combo.

I've never seen people do this, but there's one I always use:

Back throw, down with H. punch, then fire a hadoken, follow it with his demon flip.

They're able to block the hadoken, but usually they don't. And when they do block, the demon flip gives you another chance to follow up for an attack.

The last 2 combos are his main ones. FP, Hadouken, FADC, repeat. His resets don't work vs good players as they tend to block the proper way or just shoryuken your ass as you come down from the demon flip.

Tip for everyone watching this video:

When he does Hurricane FADC in a combo, DON'T DO THIS. It's unreliable, does little damage, and wastes 2 EX bars that you can use for Rushing Palm.

But if you use a backthrow, the timing is harder for a Rush Palm EX, at least it is for me so I try for the Hurricane Kick FADC into a combo. I only use the Rush palm ex if I already landed a Fierce Punch. Although the Hurricane Kick FADC to Ultra is tricky in center screen. WK knocks them further to set them up easier but has faster startup and seems to have lower range compared to MK which has slower startup and has more range but doesn't knock them back far enough... unless you wait..
