@dominic556 In the description of this video there is a link to where I buy all of my Enlighten and BanBao sets. I have heard that they can also be found on eBay, but since I do not trust eBay as a good company anymore, I will never do any business on eBay again.
Awesome !!!!! now i wont have to buy the real lego santa fe and waste over 1,000 dollars on it.And this engine looks like its compatible with power functions and i could even modify it to be the real lego santa fe.Thanks Enlightment!!!!!!!!:)
@PokeMaster134 I'll post a video of the Frisco Fe motorized sometime in the next week or so. Also just so you know, this Frisco Fe locomotive, (much like most of the other Enlighten copies of the old LEGO 9v trains), is slightly less detailed than the ones that LEGO used to make. But as you already stated, they are a whole lot cheaper to buy and a whole lot easier to get than those older LEGO locomotives :)
Im interested in these. Will you show how you motorize one of these? Im thinking about getting one. Also to let you know, the englihten couplers are exact to the older style from the 9v era Lego Trains. The 9V runs off of a transformer and has metal on the tracks to give power to the motors.
@TomixNscale89 Yeah, I thought these looked like less detailed copies of the old 9V LEGO trains. I will post a video of this motorized later this week; I hope. I also made a motorized "power car" that I use with any train, even my LEGO Toy Story Western Train Chase set.
This is an almost perfect (but cheap looking and ill fitting) copy of legendary Lego set 10020 Santa Fe Super Chief, look here: up set 10020-1 at Bricklink.
Apparently Enlighten is into copying historic Lego sets now?
@etierik Yes, I agree. But what is really cool about this, is that you can still buy it, and you can't buy any of the old LEGO ones. And of course the price of these Enlighten trains is very nice.
@VAND4LL Thanks, I've been wanting to make these Enlighten train videos for a long time. LEGO trains are very expensive and many kids just can't afford their high prices, and many people are unaware that this less expensive alternative is available. Also, LEGO will not sell you individual locomotives or railcars to expand your LEGO railroad, so these Enlighten sets fit a specific need of LEGO customers.
WOW you just showed up in my subscriber box today, good to see you back, been missing you. Then I check your channel and you been uploading for a while and nothing in my sub box, WTH YouTube. I like the train.
@MrTrainfanatic I could be wrong here, but I think most of these Enlighten locomotives are just less detailed copies of the old LEGO 9v trains. They're perfectly fine for as low as they cost, and they meet the customer's needs for extra LEGO compatible locomotives and railcars. LEGO does not make them, so here is another company filling in the gaps that LEGO has in their train lineup.
@LNER4771 Yes, it is not the most accurate depiction of a Santa Fe locomotive with the Warbonnet paint job. But it is solidly built, and for under ten dollars, it's certainly good enough. Low cost copies like this one, are completely LEGO's own fault. If they would make modern versions of the old LEGO trains, we wouldn't have to turn to copies like this one.
@diegolego101 Yes, a locomotive this size, can easily be motorized, and the smaller locomotives can be motorized using the same trick you use to motorize the Hogwarts Express or the Toy Story Western Train Chase.
@pLacepartay So far this is the best Enlighten locomotive that I've reviewed, and where the other ones were almost as good as LEGO, this one has the same quality as LEGO. I wish LEGO still made this locomotive, these would be a lot easier for us to get if LEGO made it.
