Man VQ's sound like such ass when boosted. Beautiful NA, when boosted they are like one of the worst sounding motors out there. It sounded like someone taking a dump and vomiting in a trash can filled with brown paper bags!

try pulling ecu pin 103 (i believe) so you can brake boost, and get a better soundtrack, throw some lupe in there or somethin

@mexces the money you would spend on swapping + getting either of those engines, you would be able to forge your vq and would have an even better motor because it has more displacement

@itubrrr on a stock setup maybe, but forging the engine doesnt give it any extra power, it just enables it to withstand more power adders, (boost, cams that cause high rpms etc..) which rules out it being cheaper since the rb25 can handle 630hp on stock internals and the 2jz can handle over 700hp on stock internals.

@Xxdream2sing89xX Yes, which would mean the engine would be able to make more power. By forging it, it would let it withstand a crazy amount of boost. And with more displacement, the powerband would be better. Those engines can handle that much but I've never heard of anyone doing that much power on everything stock for long. Things will eventually wear and breakdown.

@itubrrr i guess i can agree with that, but that depends on if they are going for a streetable setup, but if they want to go all out, i would choose the 2jz or rb25, and we both know that is cause they are legendary race enginges, but as far as economy and reliability for a cheap high hp streetable setup, vq, out of the question, lol.

I dont get how you can fit a single turbo on the VQ35DE (V6 engine)... why do you people buy an auto and sup it up ? that i also don't understand, the fun of driving 6 spd and auto is like beyond words... I know my 6 spd Z is fun to drive atleast.

@97NeonRT most drag trannys are 2 or 3 speed automatics.. tossing up a 'failed' drag run to a bad shift is just, well, a huge waste of gas sometimes ;)

Man I have an 03 Z auto and now I think I will end up getting turbos . I was going to get a small block from a friend and do something with a diff car but I just love my cat sooo much and this video of the auto is nice they both sounds freakin sweet!
