  • I loved these scenes, makes me feel that this will happen to us in real life if we don't shape up before going into space ourselves, since right now, fighting amongst ourselves only affects this single planet, but if we went into space in the same condition, it would cause too much instability to go unnoticed.

  • This must be presumably one of the worst fates you can have. You know how to stop the destroyers from destroying you, but you are unable to because you found out too late. Surely, that almost hurts more than the knowledge that you are doomed.

  • I surely wish I could play Freespace on any modern OS, I'd surely pick that up again.

Even though after playing the second part several times, it sure pales a little.

Still, the videos are unmatched, all of them; The first part just narrated more calm. Those are awesome videos, despite not much happening in them.

They just bring across the feeling, the atmosphere, you can almost feel with the Ancients. Despite they were probably just as bad as the Shivans.

  • @UnDeaDCyBorg Freespace SCP. Google that shit. Plenty of mods, most notably, KICK ASS GRAPHICS. The game goes from awesome, to BEAUTIFUL

  • These epilogues are depressing, and make you feel bad for the ancients as they burned away like fiery embers into ashes.

Their sins gave the GTVA the know how to become the destroyers... but once the shivans are gone who will police the universe?

  • @willd3rbeast This comment is 7 months overdue, I know, lol. But according to the endgame monologue, if it was truly a shift-of-power scenario, the GTVA would have to become The Destroyers. Or, if you think about it on a truly universal scale, there could be hundreds of Destroyers out there, all acting in balance to protect the neolithic races.

  • @CepheusStarhowl True. The story never reveals how many Shivans exist out there. They could fill a hundred galaxies, especially if they are not of terrestrial origin.
