In Honduras, there are 3 separate branches of government: Judicial, Legislative and Executive. Pres. Zelaya overstepped his boundaries refusing an order from the higest court. This is a prime example of Checks and Balances by the different branches of government. 2/3 branches of government (Judicial and Legislative) were following the correct procedures. The Executive branch disregarded due process
