not to be a skeptic, but I see alot of these videos, and it looks like a bad deflection of light. which to me is just as important, it means there is so much CRAP, in the atmosphere it is bending the light

THIS MORNING I TOOK MY DAUGHTER TO WORK AT 5:45 a.m. UPON MY RETURN WHEN I PARKED IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE, THE SUN WAS RISING ON THE EAST AND I TOOK A PICTURE OF A "V" SHAPE SUNSET REFLECTION FROM THE WEST!!!! THAT LOOKED LIKE THE SUN WAS SETTING "ON THE WEST". WAKE UP SKEPTICS, WHAT Comando 602 POSTED IS TRUE! ITS HAPPENING AND I HAVE PICTURES AS WELL (From Phoenix, AZ)

I saw the same thing in my backyard recently and could not believe it. It was beautiful but very eerie.

it is beautiful and explainable. thick cloud reflects sun light. the cloud is so thick just like water in a pond....easy to understand.

Uprated. Just found another YTer who saw the exact same Moon anomaly I did in late Jan '11 on the same 3 nights. Moon went from near-full-waning to 3/4 to near-full-waning in 3 consecutive nights. The sky was clear. I was not stoned. I was, however, too shocked to grab my camera the 2nd & 3rd nights & these other 2 people were, too. This CANNOT happen. It is IMPOSSIBLE. The sky was CLEAR. No clouds, no obstructions, my classes were on. Go figure.

The problem is that people want this excitement in their lives and if this was proven to be shadows and reflections, most of the people here would be disappointed and start looking for more "signs". Ask yourself this, would you be happy if the world survived until you reached 90 years old? There is plenty of things to do, instead of worrying about the end of the world, why not enjoy life. Get a hobby, take your kids camping. Enjoy views like this instead of thinking "this is it, we're f/ked now"

Its only strange if you havent seen it before and you are not aware of the science behind it. You will drop your taco when you ACTAULLY see all the other amazing things that happen all around us. Please check out the science before hand. There is FAR too much stuff out there like this and its freaking stupid poeple out and they all start running like lemmings. I know.. A good example is the website godlikeproductions. Oh man there is some good information on there but jeepers lemmings everywhere. I just saw this SAME effect or whatever it is in Cancun 2 days ago, but on the east it was red/orange, i thought it couldnt be normal to see this kind of rays on the east on sunset... wow seeing this gave me chills

it's just the sun reflecting off a dense cloud formation. What's the big deal? You very quickly panned to the right, then back again. To your right, was the same type of dense cloud formation, but you didn't key on it, Why?

pointing east while sun to west along with shadows from both clouds and mountains from the west where the sun sets....oh ya and the chemicals they spray might be part of the reason ......beautiful though

My husband and I saw this same phenom last summer in Phoenix. Have photos. Pink and blue rays, east and west at sunset. Thank you for posting. Others have gotten this on video also.

Because of all of the skeptics like yourself stating that somehow I faked the whole entire sky I went ahead and uploaded another video that I did at the same time. I did many takes of this phenomenon because of the wind. Check my channel for take 2 and that will appease all the skeptics as I did a camera pan to the North, South, East & West.

Ugh, Its called "Science" people, I live in Calgary and in the winter we get an effect called "Sun Dogs" where it looks like theres two smaller suns next to the real sun, it isn't real and neither is this. @paulinaskitchen1 as well, if there was more then one sun, explain how the moon im looking at RIGHT now, has only half of it lit up. If there was more then one source of light, I WOULDN'T be looking at a straight (180 degree) line dividing the shadow of the moon from the light reflecting off the moon.

I'd be looking at an obtuse line dividing the shadow / light.

commando, I live in PHX, I've seen this phenomenon here the past few days , East/West sunset- also last summer 8.22.2010 , it's so surreal maybe one has to see it firsthand to believe it- so to h*ll with the naysayers, I saw it too- I was shocked then, and I still am. there must either be something in the atmosphere at a low level,a vaporous material reflective or something way up there we cannot see that is reflecting/redirecting the light from the source. based on the pattern it i think it must be in the low level atmosphere.
