Its Funny. some of the squirrels I've been feeding for just as long are still scared of me, some will take the food from my hand while others won't. I think some squirrels are smarter than others and some will see there's no need to fear while alot of others are scared.
It took you 2 years? Wow. Well no wonder, I've been feeding the ones here for about 3 months now & only weeks ago got them to take peanuts from my hand. They still won't let me touch them even though they come to my porch almost daily putting their paws & making noise on the glass window to wake me up & come inside for peanuts. Usually even the slightest move can make them dart back! When I started, they wouldn't come closer then 10 feet. Which I thought was strange because I thought they shoul
ive done this before.. just whatever you do.. dont go for the tail.. dont touch it hard.. if u cup it even for a second he will go nuts on you no pun intended
@cryoes I agree, don't grab it but I do stroke it now but lightly ( hummm that did not sound right ) lol but you know what I mean. He now will crawl up on my arm and sit there and eat his peanuts. Thanks for commenting. :)
