Actually I also had the same experience with the 16 year old girl. I was punished by my dad using the metal belt just like that when I was 4-12 years old and its normal to our country which is not considered as child abuse. Yes it really hurts but this is the way for me to be disciplined and never do bad things again.

18 hits is just ridiculous. I was beat as a child often but thank goodness that my father never hit me this many times with the belt. What makes it even worse is all those hits (17 hits from the father) he wasn't satisfied cause he didn't get to hit her on the butt but, hitting her over and over didn't count in his eyes. The mother should of told him that she made her turn over and she got a hit on the butt and maybe the father would of not been sooooo angry. Its just disgusting in my eyes.
