You say society sets up teen moms to fail. Miss, IT ISN'T SOCIETY, IT IS THE GIRL HERSELF by virtue of the fact that when "teen" mom gets pregnant, she does not yet have established finances, a full-time career job w/ decent salary, maturity of years even if she thinks she is "very mature" & finally a teen mom is usually not married to a man who can share responsibilities of baby! Don't blame others, Miss! U had the sex. U r very childish to place blame. Be an ADULT & OWN UP TO YOUR OWN MISTAKE
I don't think teenage parents are doomed to fail. I am a teenage parent (My son is 2 and I am 15.) And I think I am doing fine with my life. I do well in school and I have a job now. This girl however, will not go far. She was 15 years old and she PLANNED to have a baby when she KNEW and even told everyone that she knew she wasn't financially stable.
Your son is wonderful & very handsome! But as someone who has seen many, many children who were raised by well meaning young, single moms; I can honestly say that these kids do suffer w/out a 2 parent home. When I talk to teens I suggest Adoption for the sake of the child. Many couples r waiting. At first Adopt.'s hard, but U give yur baby an optimal environment to grow in. When U hear single parenting is hard, it's because it really is, esp. for the CHILD.
You can rationalize your situation all you want but the fact remains that children raised by teen parents are more likely to grow up disadvantaged and messed up. I know full well your "new world." I understand your generation; its obsession with sex, drugs and violence, its fear of learning and its blindness to the consequences of choices and actions. You're a teen father; you're probably not going to remain with your lady and all your child will end up with is a broken home.
You're right. I am like so obsessed with violence, sex, and drugs right now that I have like five guns hiding under my mattress right now where my boyfriend and I fuck five times a day, after which we smoke five joints and then make really bad life decisions before breaking up with each other. It's a vicious cycle, I tell you. I hate the new world.
Ok not 100% of teen parents fail and not 100% of children raised by teen and/or single parents will turn out bad and/or get into high risj behavior or commit suicide. Fact remains that most kids raised by teen parents grow up financially, educationally and emotionally fragile and often get into high risk behavior and even commit suicide. It's better to adopt out to a proper family, which consists of morally, emotionally, and financially stable, adult, married husband and wife.
Financial stability? My parents were married for 21 years, 2 years before I was born until the day my father died. My mother was 29 when she had me, we were NEVER financially stable. I too, am financially stable for the first time in my life. I'm planning a wedding to a man who refers to my son as his, so much for can't find a decent man. Those of us who want to find one do,those who want decent women also find them, and those sisters who want to do it for themselves go right on and do that too!

I spent years teaching kids in public schools, and the kids with the most troubles were the result of teen pregnancy. I don't believe anything she says about her being financially stable.
Nothing turns off guys her age more than a girl with a kid. She's going to have a hard time finding a decent man now.
"Nothing turns off guys her age more than a girl with a kid. She's going to have a hard time finding a decent man now."
I actually really haven't found this to be the case. Having a child is definitely an added challenge to dating, but I have never had anyone have a problem with the fact that I am a mom. The logistics of it get in the way more than anything. It's not a 'turn off' kind of situation.
who the hell are you to tell people what they can and cant do with their live? Yes, it may have been better for her to wait, but No, you have no right to down her for it.
SECOND. Do you live with her? Are you her accountant? Im pretty sure your not so you can keep it closed on her financial state.
THIRD. so all troubled kids get pregnant. No one ever has an accident in this world? I dont thinks so.
FORTH: And there are real mean who find her kind of strength attractive.
Thanks! It is neat watching this video now; Cae is so much older (he is three). I hadn't noticed how much his voice has changed until I watched this again.

First, what makes you assume I want a man?
