@GreatSouthport I had a passage in the Silmarillion in mind which stated that Galadriel left Aman 'to rule a land of her own' or something. Tbh I only brought this up, because I recalled a short exchange between Galaldriel and Saruman in the Ch 'Many Partings' and I could not think of any reason for Tolkien to put that in LotR unless perhaps to contrast the differences between these two great beings coping with loss of power. Then I started lookin for similarities (sry for account name change)
Frodo really was the best person to be the ring-bearer. Anyone who had any desire to gain power/use the ring, even a really good person, would have been corrupted and turned evil.
Loved it! Especially that you did not went for Radiocative!Galadriel, that would have been inappropriate.
Listening to the chapter I just realized a lot has been said in interpretations about the chararcter pairs of Gandalf/Saruman [Sauron] and Galadriel/Shelob, but I just noticed the similarities between Saruman and Galadriel. Both have an inherent desire to rule, great charisma and posses power over the minds of others. That makes their confrontation at the end of ROTK pretty interesting.
@TheWebBat@TheWebBat I think perhaps you have misread Galadriel, I don't think she has an inherant desire to rule at all. She is very wise and powerful and indeed very ancient but nowehere is there the suggeston of a desire to rule. She has deep sorrow and carries a melancholy after a life which has seen great sadness and lamentation for those fallen and for great deeds by her kin and others combined with a sad forboding of her peoples doom and decline in light of either outcomes of the ring.
@PhilsStuffofDoom Okay thank you very much, there really great a professional would not do a greater job. I'm going to go back and listen to my favourite chapters again until the next ones are completed. It's truly a remarkable piece of work.
@PhilsStuffofDoom Yes, it's good enough for me anyway. :D But I forgot to mention for an earlier chapter (I'm almost certain it was Ch.17 BoK) that when the orchestra was crescendo-ing and you were still narrating, your voice was getting covered by the music. Maybe it's my darn speakers (they're not to good) but that's been on my mind for awhile. But other than that, I have nothing. xP
@celeteque really? Yeah I do usually have troubles with mastering since I'm not very knowledgeable on equalizing and normalizing the mix. However, I think it might be a bit better on headphones.
Thanks a lot for this reading, I wonder if there are more chapters to enjoy as I did on hearing this one. If so, please , somebody let me know.

@TheWebBat I too think Galadriel in the movie was a scary person, and made no sense, especially if one reads the book. Good observation!

The scene always makes me wonder: what would a twisted elven empire ruled by the Fallen Galadriel look like?
