Depends on how condense the funnel is or the number of vortices. Either the tornado will grow weaker while in water to become a waterspout or the tornado will become more powerful to F5 status. Saylor Park OH tornado of 1974 is example of a tornado on the water that didn't become a waterspout but the water made the funnel stronger. A waterspout hitting the land is a landspout, much like a tornado. Gustnadoes and dust devils are not tornadoes but resembles tornado activity structure.

Not really, They are considered tornadoes if they hit land I have heard of waterspouts becoming F2 tornadoes and even an F5 tornado becoming a waterspout.
