And yes, the indoor tanning association is being unfairly singled out by this report. The WHO report discusses ALL forms of UV including sunlight. The news is focusing almost entirely on indoor tanning practically ignoring those who choose to lay out by the pool or on the beach or who play tennis. This entire report appears to be some alarmist thing to get people to buy more sunscreen and stop using tanning beds. I'd really like to know who funded the WHO's 'study'.
Both spray tans and UV exposure have risks. Spray tans have DHA chemical inhaling risks (trade possible skin cancer for possible lung cancer). Beds and sunlight have UV exposure risks. The only safe tan is not to have a tan and even then that's not healthy because you're probably vitamin D deficient. If you do get sun exposure without a tan, you risk a bad burn. When you wear sunscreen, you risk long term sunscreen chemical toxicity issues. It's all a no-win. It's your body, you decide.
He does make the point that there are plenty of tanners that don't have cancer while the reporter tries to shove it down his throat. Both have profound bias and agendas, I don't see how this is news.
I like Sheppy but he like Geraldo get a little too emotional at times.

Spray tanning is probably safer than UVs but natural tans are the best
