It's marked down now at Staples for $10! Permanently marked down. It seems they told their employees that it ONLY works with Valet routers! Well, duh. Not all wifi hotspots, cafe's, etc have Valet routers! I bought 2 at the price.  Works fantastic with my non-cisco, non-valet router!

Please help. This is my first build and I don't have spare parts lying around. I have an Asus Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard, 16GB's of Corsair XMS 2,000mhz ( tried the one memory thing to no avail), Diamond 5870 Graphics Card 2GB DDR5, Western Digital Black 1TB HDD, and finally an ATx 750Watt by Corsairs. I hooked everything up correctly I checked and quadruple checked, but nothing. It came on the lights on the motherboard worked, the optical drive opened and closed, but BIOS no run helplinus

@d3v3ouzm1ndz how about the prosessor? i guess it is a amd prosessor, how about the ram, have you checked online if it works with the prosessor? did you use an anti static ristband all the time?

and I did a small mistake on my build, have you tuned in your monitor for the right channel (port)?

wackness... a USB wireless adapter is a USB wireless adapter... nothing spectacular here. Except of course for another video from Linus! lol That's why i watched it anyways...

@xninjax420 most wireless adapters need a driver disc or download of some sort. the valet has the drivers on board. also the valet is designed to be used seamlessly with the valet router. its so simple that even my grandmother set one up. if you want a truely standard usb wireless adapter the cisco AE1000 adapter excludes all these extra features for alot less money.

@icecoldwolf I have a cheapo AirLink 101 that i paid $14 for, and i never have to install any drivers. No matter what computer i plug it into it works as soon as i plug it in.

@xninjax420 Like I said you pay extra to get the essentially One Click connection to Valet routers.for some people the cost is justified by the ease of use. also since Cisco is a top name brand you can expect to pay more but you can also expect they will be great quality as well.

just cuz its cheap doesn't mean it works as good. I have used an airlink adapter in the past and it had issues with it's connectivity. I would get lost packets if I was more than 30 feet away.
