I've tried the 12x scope and it's a lot of fun and worthwhile since you are able to shoot from the hip with deadly accuracy. I wish the QBz-95B was available for all classes. Please, give it another try.. It's an amazing weapon!

When I first tried to use this gun, I thought it was crap like most people. The truth is, this gun is a BEAST! I gave it another shot and discovered that if you have a good trigger finger, the QBZ-95B can produce a highly rapid bullet spread. By this I mean, the faster you can rapidly pull the trigger, the faster the gun will fire. The QBZ-95B is very accurate and amazingly effective in CQB. Over a distance, you will have to become accustomed to timing the bullet spread. I've tried the 12x scop

The reason why you get the eoTech(holo) at the end is because this is a chinese weapon.

With US weapons you unlock US attachment first and then RU attachments, with RU and Chinese weapons you unlock RU attachment first so you need to get a lot of kills if you want this little baby :P

This review is flawed. You completely ignored the single best reason to choose this gun, which is that you can have both a laser and a suppressor. Sure, the M4A1 is a stronger weapon statistically but having both a laser and suppressor means you can fit into the niche role of stealth killing while not sacrificing your hip fire ability to do so.

Since I first unlocked the M249 I've been beasting with it. I have unlocked about 20 scopes for it. lately the only difference in scopes has been reticle design. I keep an extended clip, foregrip, and IRx1 scope. I just want to know: is there an IR scope with a zoom? Is There a way to get around all the smoke on some maps? Even the lightest smoke makes the zoom useless....

I just unlock it several minute ago and try it out during 2 rush game and i have to say that this weapon is still a solid gun that you have you try. Never really felt any of the Engineer guns were good. Even the beloved G36C I was unimpressed with, but have to say since unlocking the QBZ-95B I've really enjoyed playing as an engineer. I'm no longer underpowered in the gun department as I was before. Strange b/c the stats go against this gun compared to some of the "better" options, but I haven't had a bad game yet with this carbine! Too bad there is no Mastery Dog Tag for this weapon 'cause I'm pretty sure reaching 500 kills will be a cinch

I would pick QBZ-95B over M4A1 because the lower firerate makes every shot efficient and leaves you enough bullets in the clip to finish off teammates of the enemy you just killed. I've got way more headshots with it. The faster firerate of M4A1 sure can help you to win a CQB fight if you only rely on body shots but before you can reload another clip into your M4A1, the enemy's buddy gonna come right in and finish you off. But this is for players who are good at headshot in CQB.

@Filipa1122 Firing from the hip is when you don't aim down your sights and you just press the fire/shoot button. The laser affects it by reducing the recoil when you are not aiming down the sights so the bullets hit a more centered area and thus increasing your chances of getting a kill.

I did the exact same thing for the Repair Tool achievement! I think I was one of the first people to get it on PS3, because I got it on the 2nd day of Karkand, and by that time I was barely seeing any G53s. I thought it would be easier on Hardcore as they can't do 3rd person and cannot see the Vehicle Health, and it was on an Amtrac. Although I didn't know that when someone gets out, you keep destroying. I thought the noob stayed in :P

The trend I've seen with weapons in the game is that Russian/Chinese weapons unlock all the Russian/Chinese optics first, and then you can unlock the American style optics later. It's same for American weapons, American optics before Russian/Chinese.

I got my repair torch vehicle destroy by destroying an enemy radio beacon. I did this straight after repair tool killing the recon that put down said beacon, thus getting both the required repair tool kills for both the assignments within about five seconds of each other :D

Easiest way to get the destroy vehicle is to destroy a mortar. Shoot the mortar man then destroy the mortar with the repair torch. It will give you credit for destroying a vehicle. That's how I got mine after getting killed numerous times chasing tanks.

I think that the sights unlock as native first for the weapon then foreign. So, US/NATO guns get more US/NATO style sights first, and Russian ones get those respective sights earlier.

Totally agree with this review. Worked my ass off for the repair torch vehicle destroy and when i got the weapon out?! Gave up on it after 5-6 spawns as i was killing nothing. Went back to the A-91 and found it SO much better all round. Dont waste your time earning this weapon unless your just want a full arsenal!!
