Which in itself means you have no other responsibilities except to work out. Personally If you're not working out to compete or ur an athlete, you are pretty much a self absorbed guy who would rather walk around with his shirt of to impress the other guys in the gym....that being said....THESE ARE STILL LEGIT WORKOUTS AND ARE PROBABLY PRETTY EFFECTIVE. 

  • @06WEINJ thats not true, it only takes 45 mins a day of weight training - i take that back not even daily maybe 3-4 times a week - to get big if you do the right exercises and if you train properly. and at the end of the day when you look good you feel good and when you feel good you do good. its not just about other people finding you atractive its about being healthy and being in the right mental state

  • @tubedude101 No you don't, less than 8% fat is unhealthy you need fat to be healthy for certain nutrients to dissolve and be of use in your body, and you don't need to lose fat to body build. You need to lose fat to model for body building but just normal weight lifting fat is of use in workouts. Make a strict workout regimen don't cheat and you will be looking good in 3-6 months Guaranteed.

  • BORING WORKOUT!!! These are ok exercises if what you're going for is huge muscle mass. I would recommend placing a mat under you, in case you slip..I've seen it happen, not pretty. Isolated muscle exercises are so 2000 and late though. They have their place. But if you want overall fitness, agility, flexibility and a good looking body...DO CROSSFIT!

  • a very good exercise, i've tried it before i saw this vids. quite exhaisting. but the r variations to it, this position is the toughest one. there is bend leg reverse pull. str8 leg reverse pull, str8 on bench reverse pull and incline leg reverse pull (which is this one) so try the bend legs with no DB and work ur way up.

  • The one thing i do disagree with this guy doing is using the dumb bell weights in this position this can cause problems for him in the future with his hips. there are multiple workouts that can be even more effective than this with no harmful side effects. if you want to work out your back like someone previously said the dead lift is a more effective work out and if performed correctly will have little to no harmful side effects.

  • wolfman are you a moron. lifting straps are designed to isolate the target muscle so that your hands/forearms don't give out. it's been proven time and time again that your wrists and forearms are weaker than the majority of muscles in your body, hence...the lifting straps.

  • @getemdougie If you're going to insult me, it might help if you actually replied to me. Regardless, it's literally impossible to take the hands and upper arms out of the equation when you're doing lat pulls. And if you really need to use straps to make up for how weak your hands are, you should probably fix that, since literally any application of strength where lats might be needed requires strong hands/wrists/etc. And big forearms are sexier then big lats.

    fyi the reason most people that do lift without shirts especially when doing back, is to see the muscles in action. same with his spotter, i would almost bet money that they were doing a 2 man workout circuit. watching your muscles and then flex and stretch actually helps your mind grow your muscles because you're seeing it happen and your mind is concentrating on it, therefore it's much more beneficial to your lifting. why do you think mirrors are in almost every gym

And apparently no one likes you on this video, sooo... im not the only one that feels your wrong a few levels.

Sure, if you were going like the world record in pull ups, or deadlifting your body weight, you have plenty of reason to use straps. If you're doing 3x15 with 45lbs and don't have the grip strength for it, you're so wrong it's not even funny anymore. And I have the highest rated comment, so, yes, people do like me.

I sometimes use straps when my arms are tired and i still need some pullups in. but ease up on the ego, 6x a week isn't that much better than 5x. if anything its worse cause you need days to recover. go take some steroids or something.

  • @Wolfenman08 This guy is not working out his forearms. He is doing a back workout, mainly isolating the lats. In back exercises such as rows or chins, without straps, the first muscles to tire are the smaller ones, mainly the forearms and biceps. This will not allow you to fully stimulate the back. Using straps eliminates the majority of forearm use, and allows you to use a thumb overhand grip which doesn't engage the bis as much. This allows you to stimulate the back much more effectively.

  • @GO302 Wow, no really? He's doing a back workout? I'd have never guessed. But you know, if you cannot hold the bar for the 3x15 this guy is doing, you should probably fix that. Seriously, if you're ever in a position to actually have to use your show-muscle, it'd help if you have the grip for it. It'd also help to do lat pulls on a lat pull bar, or use the pull up bar, but that's another matter.

Like I said, he could probably do it without straps, but using straps allows you to work that lats more than you would without them. You made it sound like straps were detrimental to a back workout, when in fact, it's quite the opposite. The movement he is doing is similar to a row, not a chin by the way.

When you're doing a chin or a row, what is the first thing that gives out? Your forearms. By using straps, you eliminate this problem, which allows you to hit the lats harder than you would without straps. For instance when chinning ones bodyweight, they may only do 15 chins without straps. With straps, one could do 20, because their forearms aren't giving out.

I'm not trying to argue, i agree, the guys look like a bunch of fags, but there's nothing wrong with straps. Yea, you may need to use your strength when picking stuff up, but lets be honest.   • @GO302 Straps are only a safety measure if you're lifting large amounts of weight (like a guy squating his body weight+) or if you're doing an extremely large number of reps (like the who has the world record for most amount of pull ups), otherwise it's compensation for weak forarms. It is not like a facemask. And the guy who will mess with the idiot in this video is the one who will realize that he'd probably break his own hand punching you. This guy is compensating for weak arms, nothing else

  • @Wolfenman08 I wasn't talking about the guy in the video, i was talking about me. I use straps, and have 15.5 inch forearms, and huge lats. Straps are EFFECTIVE at making your lats bigger. There's a reason top bodybuilders use them. If you want to compensate for weak forearms just do wrist curls or reverse curls or hammer curls. Straps enable you to lift heavier weight than you would otherwise not be able to do. This is the whole point. Enough said.

What kind of wrist straps are you talking about? I didn't say it was like a face mask, i was making an analogy. I said large face masks look dumb but they're effective, just like wrist straps. Not face masks are like chin straps, that would be a simile.

And I must have been mistaken when I said squat, because there are plenty of videos of guys doing deadlifts with straps. And for an analogy or simile to work, there has to be some kind of similarity between the two. And since straps are almost always compensation for being weak, and not a safety measure, it doesn't work.

Yes a simile requires thing to have similar qualities. An analogy does not. An analogy is used to show a similarity between things that appear to be different. A face mask looks stupid, but is effective. Wrist straps look stupid, but are effective. What I said works perfectly fine as an analogy.

  • I don't mean to be mean, but sometimes I see people do moves that are so awkward looking that the excuse 'targeting muscle fibres in a new way' has to be minimal in effect than if you just really concentrated on pull downs, pull ups or bent over rows.   • im only 16 and im 5 11 203 pounds im thick, squared up chest and a 2 pack! haha I dont really care for a 6 or 4 as long as I have somethin, the workouts I do are basic, the usual i just do pushups and curl bar, some situps if I feel like it. and eating I practically dont care wat I eat, I go all out cuz I work it out anyway, Ive earned the nick name 'baby dinosaur' lmao im just a big kid
