I don't care what people say about the battle system, if you look at this game without bias, there is no way to deny that it's one of the greatest games ever made. I'm dead serious, no fanboyism here.
I've always loved Balthier but this scene right here was when I truly respected him even more. (I'm always one for the tragic heroes. xD;) But I think I also like the relationship between Ashe and Balthier. The wisdom and advice he imparts to her. I truly like them together whether they just be friends or more. (Which after finishing the game I don't remember them ever being together but hey it's a cute idea. Especially if you watch the ending of the game. <3)
the melody that plays at the beach is one of the few, if not only, songs in FF XII i actually made note of and liked. i think the music in games ended up trying to tell us what to feel, sometimes in compensation for the scene not being able to. same thing applies to movies as well, though it's been there too long. sometimes it adds to the feeling, most of the time it detracts from the experience, serving only as disruptive. in most cases i'd prefer more weight on acting than on the music.

I was 13 year old when I played FFXII. It was the first FF I played so the gambit system was an easy start for me. many people find it difficult to deal it with, simply because they are used of the same time-based battle system like in other FF's like VII series.
Frustrating because I never managed to finish this one.. Our console was broken and I was stuck in the raithwall's tomb. I'm 15 now and I never had the chance to play it again

I like the dynamic between all the characters in this final fantasy game. Ashe takes most of the plot line, and rightfully so, but I kind of wish there was more about Fran and even Penelo in it.

Wow everyone's having a heated discussion about the best final fantasy again. No one is going to agree with which ones are best or worse, but I will say that every FF game released has its pros and cons, but some ppl whine about the cons so much that they completely brand the game as being bad and some games are overrated just because of the graphics. everyone has their own opinions about this stuff lol
nope but Balthier, Vaan, Penelo and Fran will be in it. There will be other new characters as well. The game is called Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.
I don't get it. Balthier said that Cid made him a Judge to 'understand neticite'. How would that help at all? I mean, it doesn't make any sense at all to me...
I'm not sure that's quite what Balthier said, but even if it were, remember the Judges were the prime candidates for nethicite experimentation. Just like with Judge Bergan, who's entire skelital stucture was practically infused with the stuff...
and since Balthier is his son, he would be able to, in a way, control Balthier and force it upon him. Other Judges could refuse perhaps, but Balthier had a duty to obey his father.
I find that I think Ashe is the main character... The storyline pretty much revolves around her. AND... I pretty much finished the game except the last 2 hunts T_T sob sob

FFX would be a good choice that is if you can put up with the crybaby main character and the simple fact that his romantic interest just can't be honest with herself, leading to annoying things. Laughing when sad? Why not whine? The main character does it all the time!
it's totally ok for a 14 year old girl. boo on Kupo's stereotypes. I wouldn't recommend it out of all the Final Fantasy's because it's the worst one, if you want a great FF game I reccomend FF7 or FF9, those are the BEST and you will LOVE them!

I find it was mainly just buying Bazaar goods which cost much... The rest wasn't so hard to gather, at least once you've gotten the hang of things.
Try chain-killing monsters. That's what I did from the start. Great for training, and great for collecting items...
I haven't played the game in a long time, since I sold it a while back, no longer having a PS2. I miss it.

nope but Balthier, Vaan, Penelo and Fran will be in it. There will be other new characters as well. The game is called Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

Ashe is a playable character in Revenant Wings. She joins the group part of the way through the game. Basch is also a playable character.

I don't get it. Balthier said that Cid made him a Judge to 'understand neticite'. How would that help at all? I mean, it doesn't make any sense at all to me...

I'm not sure that's quite what Balthier said, but even if it were, remember the Judges were the prime candidates for nethicite experimentation. Just like with Judge Bergan, who's entire skelital stucture was practically infused with the stuff...

and since Balthier is his son, he would be able to, in a way, control Balthier and force it upon him. Other Judges could refuse perhaps, but Balthier had a duty to obey his father.

I find that I think Ashe is the main character... The storyline pretty much revolves around her. AND... I pretty much finished the game except the last 2 hunts T_T sob sob

I think they look alot a like and they have the same way of speaking too. I found out that cid was balthiers father even befor i played that game, I was sad when i found out, i wanted to figure it out on my own, or find out in the game

FFX would be a good choice that is if you can put up with the crybaby main character and the simple fact that his romantic interest just can't be honest with herself, leading to annoying things. Laughing when sad? Why not whine? The main character does it all the time!

I would recommend final fantasy X (10) for a 14 yo girl. It's less complex...plus it's more light hearted and has a romantic storyline.

it's totally ok for a 14 year old girl. boo on Kupo's stereotypes. I wouldn't recommend it out of all the Final Fantasy's because it's the worst one, if you want a great FF game I reccomend FF7 or FF9, those are the BEST and you will LOVE them!
