The fight scene between Obiwan and Vader looks like a bunch of 5-year-olds waving some sticks. Lucas really need to remake episode 4 to 6, and bring them to the modern age.

They are good because there is a meaningful story behind them with amazing actors. I'm not saying Episode 1,2, and 3 are bad, but they will never compare to the original trilogy, no matter how many special effects are used.

It was at this phase that blades were given colors, as the props were simple white blades.[37][38]

The Imperials weren't retards, they didn't "take over" the galaxy so much so as they were the Republic TURNED Empire. They already HAD CONTROL over the galaxy. Any threat to their military power (e.g. the Separatists) was settled by the Jedi before Order 66. That said, the Original Trilogy to me is Canon. I consider the prequels non-Canon for obvious reasons.
The entire sequence on the Death Star in the first movie is why I have no patience for people who whine about the fact that the Ewoks were able to beat the Stormtroopers in ROTJ. I mean, just look at 4.04, how the fudge did these guys conquer the galaxy when they possess the shooting skills of blind men who have just snorted coke?

@fattoler It is for the greater good, they have bugged the Falcon, making sure that it will fly back to the rebel base, literally telling the empire where it is.

@GOOCHIEZ So he can appear to Luke when he most needs him. It would have been harder for him to be physically in the same fighter jet as Luke during the attack on the death star, or for him to accompany him on hoth. Being dead made sure that he could more easily teach him.
