So, a modded Skyline producing 500+hp is practically what Nissan would have done without the law. Im a big skyline fan but I would rather have a z06 than the new skyline. I know its technologically superior but I want to enjoy the car you know shifting and not letting the awd system do everything for me. Besides thats why you pay 70k+ for a sports car right. Id pick an m3 or m5 over it too.

Stages = same body, drivetrain, and engine. each stage contains different upgrades to the same car. ie, mustang Roush stages 1-3. Roush is the model and there are 3 stages of it.
Models = different bodies ie, coupe and 4 door, and different engines, and drivetrains. Some may contain something from the last but the overall car is totally different, and has different model names.

They come in 3 stages from Nissan. Like buying a XE XLE or GLE. The Skyline you see in the video is most likely stage 2 or stage 3. About 80% of the Skylines in the world are stage 1.

You are out of your mind. The R34 GTR only has 276hp factory and could never keep up with the Z06. I see R34's all the time and they are really nothing. Japanese drivers prefer the RX7 or the Silvia. I'm living in Japan right now so I think I would know. They are overweight and underpowered. That's why the new GTR is the only production car they have that can compete with the Corvette or Viper.
the Skyline was anything but stock. the V-spec and M-spec for the r34 was only around 350hp. Still not fast enough. The only car they had was a highly modified (non production model) car, hand made from Nismo. It was over 180K, and had about 600hp. The car is moded man just deal with it.
What you don't know that there are 3 stages you can buy from Nissan. The majority of the Skylines you see are stage one, very few stage 2s.. and even a few stage 3. They are all stock/production.
That is the fact. Now just because it beat the Z06 doesn't mean that it is modded. That is only something a Z06 fan boy would say.

Skylines are one of my dream cars and all but don't count out the Z yet it..Its Nurburgring times eclipse that of the Skyline and plus as far as mods go have u ever heard of the LSX block? Able to withstand 2500hp no skyline has accomplished that. Unfortunately skylines are also heavy too... regardless I would still take it over mostly any car out on the road. AWD is not superior to rwd in road course all the fastest cars on the planet utilize rwd ex. Formula 1 and NHRA drag cars.

That is a fair question. I will attempt to answer.
1) As stated in the owners manual, turning VDC off (which is required to turn on LC) will void any warranty claim pertaining to the transmission.
2)Did you notice the paper many dealers make you sign that states your acknowledgement of the above.
3)Nissan is removing LC from the 2010 model. Now ask yourself, why..
Look, don't get me wrong, I just dont agree with what they did. It was very suspect and dishonest of them IMHO.

And learn something about the difference in stages and models.
Stages = same body, drivetrain, and engine. each stage contains different upgrades to the same car. ie, mustang Roush stages 1-3. Roush is the model and there are 3 stages of it.
Models = different bodies ie, coupe and 4 door, and different engines, and drivetrains. Some may contain something from the last but the overall car is totally different, and has different model names.

And for everyone to know there are more than just the different "stages" as he put it. There are different packages. Like the R33 has GTS (RB20de) GTST (RB20DET) GTS25 (RB25DE) GTS25T(RB25DET)and your GTR (RB26DETT). I have actually been in or driven every model.

Obviously you don't know how Skylines are made.
They come in 3 stages from Nissan. Like buying a XE XLE or GLE. The Skyline you see in the video is most likely stage 2 or stage 3. About 80% of the Skylines in the world are stage 1.
It is funny to see how you put a Top Speed 'limiter' on it. The electronic limiter can easily be turned off.
So stop making excuses for the Z06. It lost plain and clear.

What you see in the video is most likely a stage 2. The R34 is a street racer; much faster than the Z06.

You are out of your mind. The R34 GTR only has 276hp factory and could never keep up with the Z06. I see R34's all the time and they are really nothing. Japanese drivers prefer the RX7 or the Silvia. I'm living in Japan right now so I think I would know. They are overweight and underpowered. That's why the new GTR is the only production car they have that can compete with the Corvette or Viper.

the Skyline was anything but stock. the V-spec and M-spec for the r34 was only around 350hp. Still not fast enough. The only car they had was a highly modified (non production model) car, hand made from Nismo. It was over 180K, and had about 600hp. The car is moded man just deal with it.

What you don't know that there are 3 stages you can buy from Nissan. The majority of the Skylines you see are stage one, very few stage 2s.. and even a few stage 3. They are all stock/production.
That is the fact. Now just because it beat the Z06 doesn't mean that it is modded. That is only something a Z06 fan boy would say.

You need to reread my post. V-spec and M-spec. Z-spec was not production. I even told you what the "stages" were in my last. The GTR is the only one that can compete that's production. There are no other production skylines that compete on that level. That's typical hype from a Skyline bandwagoneer that has never seen one up close. By the way I have driven many skylines for the record. I've been in Japan for almost 5 years now.

The only thing I left out was the GTR M and V spec. GTS, GTST, GTS25, GTS25T, and GTR are the only models for the R33. Since we are talking about the R34 there's GT, 25 GT, GT-X, GT-V,GT-FOUR(name stolen from Celica,) GT-T. That is every "stage" (or "model" for real car fanatics) without talking about the GTR stages. I did also leave out that you can get every one of these in 4 door except GTR.

of coarse you can always get the 2009 base model corvette for 45k. it has 430hp 0 to 60 in 4.0 flat 12.3 quarter mile. you put 10k in that engine and u will be running mid 3's and mid 11's. for 55k you could have the same performance as the GTR. try again. BTW didnt u read my comment on how car and driver proved the prefactory spec gtrs were modded and boosted??! search c6 z06 vs gtr n lemme know who wins in every gear.

You can't say that the GT-R is faster than the C5, when it is obvious that the GT-R is modified! Straight out from the dealer these cars weighs the same, the C5 has got more torque, and has got more than 50 hp in advantage! How could the GT-R win against the C5? There are two possibilities: Either the GT-R was modified or the C5 owner was a bad driver....

American pushrod V8 dominates lemans, gets great gas mileage and great power. It's the simplest engine, yet does so much. The arguement is which car is better, and the performance for money battle the GTR wins, on the track GTR wins, real life GTR wins b/c its easier to live with. I want you to know. R & T came out with a test of them. Z06 SMOKED the skyline in straight line runs, SMOKED IT. The skyline is an auto and just beat some guy bad at stick u idiot. The skyline is fast, yes, fastest no. It's ease of use being auto and awd will win it any races it wins.

Skylines are one of my dream cars and all but don't count out the Z yet it..Its Nurburgring times eclipse that of the Skyline and plus as far as mods go have u ever heard of the LSX block? Able to withstand 2500hp no skyline has accomplished that. Unfortunately skylines are also heavy too... regardless I would still take it over mostly any car out on the road. AWD is not superior to rwd in road course all the fastest cars on the planet utilize rwd ex. Formula 1 and NHRA drag cars.

yea type in "AMUSE R35" that will shut ur ZR-1 up! all they did was the ECU and EXHAUST and got 100hp+, NOT including MOTOR and TWIN TURBO work. just wait till the V-Spec and Evo-Spec GTR comes out 2009-2010, the 2 SEAT, LIGHTER VERSION, increase hp around 16-25%. if the 4 SEAT BASE MODEL is pulling GOOD numbers? what do u think the NEXT 2 model will do?
