This is the old version of the Simplex 2901-9806 (also a Faraday horn) before the grille change. Believe it or not, Faraday DID make the Federal Signal horns... I have three horns that can prove that.
@NewAgeServerAlarm No, Federal Signal holds patents for their own horns and they are designed differently than Faraday horns in many ways. It wouldn't make business sense anyway, since both companies have long been competitors and Faraday has generally been the copycat. Plus, Faraday no longer makes notification appliances, but Federal Signal still makes their 450D-series horns. Which three horns do you have?
@thesdx I have a FIKE horn with a Federal Signal-style grille on the front, and a different assembly on the back (looks like the Simplex 4903 series) I have another horn (2901-9806) that has the same grille, and the usual assembly. I also have a 4903-9219 whose horn has the same mechanism as the first horn.
@thesdx Oh and neither of our points can be solidly proven until somebody finds either a 450 with a Faraday brand and model number, or an obvious Faraday horn with a Federal Signal sticker. It may also be they use the same grille style and housing, but each brand has their own mechanism. Ah yes, and why do all these horns (4040 all the way to the 6020) have the exact same dimensions?
I guess this was after Faraday decided to stop copying Federal Signal (their 4050 and 4051-style horns were knock-offs of the Vibratones anyway).

@thesdx Alright, explain a Federal Signal horn with a patent registered in Amseco...?

I'll try to make an HD video of my 5920 on my 2903 light plate sometime soon.

I have one of those, but it's labeled 5920. It sounds just like a -9833.
