  • This is the Brett Favre I'm going to remember.

  • i was at this game, and it was magical. im a raider fan, at first i was pissed that favre was throwing all over us but im not gonna hate

  • Jim Green passed away October 27th, 2005.

Trent Green played in the following game on October 30th, 2005 against the Chargers.

Trent threw for 347 yards, 2 TD's and his team lost.

I love how people say stuff without having a clue.

  • @SlickiVision I didn't even know that because for some reason when something tragic happens to Brett Favre it's somehow more important than when something happens to Trent Green or someone else in the NFL. I hate the NFL media but I rightfully should since I'm a Raiders fan.

  • i love how nobody ever talk about how trent green did this same exact thing the game after his father died......ironicly enough that game was against the raiders too....lol

  • those 5 people are raiders fans

  • Ha ha, Cubs lost that day

  • @futrellyourself and bonds hit a hr. surprises left and right

  • @futrellyourself How could the cubs have lost this game was in december.

  • @Kane78870 When ESPN classics was running this countdown they were playing, and the scores rolled along the bottom showing that the cubs lost.

  • @futrellyourself Gotcha thanks.

  • what a role model

  • I'd like to see the 5 that beat this story...

  • LEGEND!!!!!!!!

  • @Jgchunkylover

overrated quarterback. he is very good but not what the idiot announcers make him out to be.

  • Best monday night game I remember watching. I wish I had it on video.

  • Greatest performance by Favre.

  • Farve makes ALOT of mistakes in games, but this was best game ever because he wasn't forcing it...he was just playing a game

  • Great, emotional game. I walked in the snow to my friend's house to see this game that night. This is one of those games that people and critics who don't like Favre, should really look at and see that he's really passionate about football despite. He doesn't care about all this media attention. It's the media making a big deal. He has talent even at age 40 and he proved that last eyar by having the one of his best seasons. Last year, he proved to teams and other he's not too old to play ball.

  • Funny i don't see any hater comments on this video....

  • I know your dad was watching to Brett you made him proud,, You best game ever

  • LOL. Best hide your computer ramblings from your folks in case they barge into your bedroom and see what their wee son is typing.

  • why its only #6 i dont get its the greatest moment in mnf history

  • thank god there's at least a few packer fans that still have some sense. all the bull about mr. rodgers neighborhood is stupid. i guess we can all see how that turned out

  • why cant i see the video

hi anyone want to chat ma

  • Amazing!

  • great vid

im on cam and bored 9o

  • Straight up iconic!

  • Absolutely Amazing.

  • One of my favorite YouTube vids...

  • i don't think anyone else could have done this. not Peyton Manning, not Tom Brady. Brett honored his father with a un-human like performance

    you go #4!!!

  • Brett has the heart, not many QBs today have the heart that Brett had and still does!

    Rock on Brett!!!!

  • simply awesome.

    we wittnessed a legend

  • And that is why I am a Brett Favre fan. He is a legend and will always be one. By far the best quarterback in the NFL.

  • you can say anything you want about Brett Favre but no other quarterback in the NFL would of played that night. that just shows how much courage and heart he has

  • dont worry brett our hearts will always be with you. no matter were you go you will always be rememberd as...Brett Favre... the man with a heart of a lion...and the person who allways loved the game...

  • I beg anybody with a good relationship with their father, to comprehend how monumentous this performance was considering the circumstances.

Whatever is said, done and ultimately fate nobody can deny that this man is in the upper echelon of quarterbacks.

INT leader maybe, careless gunslinger - yeah BUT - look at his positives, how he didn't fall apart in this circumstance is amazing.

  • I remember watching this game. I was awestruck! Quite a guy, that Brett!! He definately did his daddy proud! RIP Irv!!

  • They had a high powered offense and one of the best corners in the NFL today on their roster, wtf are you smoking?

  • choke like the vikings

  • brett favre

  • jordan got fucked with the wizards too man he didnt even wanna retire theey shitcanned him. bret farves awsome he doesnt deserve that shit a second starting qb? thats absolute crap i cant imagine them doin tha tto nammath back int he day.i wish him well with the jets!go farve

  • Green Bay Packers fucked Brett Favre one year removed from a 13-3 season, NFC title game appearance, 3rd best statistical season ever, and Brett took 2cnd in MVP voting last year.

YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME! I'M A DAMN CHICAGO BEARS FAN! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE PACKERS? THEY JUST FUCKED FAVRE THE SAME WAY THE BULLS FUCKED JORDAN.

    FUCK THE PACKERS 4 LIFE

    FUUUUUUUUUUCK THE PACKERS!

YOU SCREWED BRETT FAVRE, SO SCREW YOU!

  • brett favre is pretty great

  • woww,amazing player,not just that,the emotion behind it.powerful performance,made me break down right now.

  • I'm a bears fan so I never rooted for Favre, but this was a great performance.

  • Yeah.... i was totally there. be jealous.

  • Holy Shit. 41-7

  • hey mooberry, AR might be YOUR staring QB but he sucks

  • "Aaron Rodgers is our starting QB."

    -Teddy

Hey Ted take a long walk off a short pier!

  • If it was a movie Bruce Willis gotta play brett

  • great best qb ever

  • Can you say "Warrior?"

  • this was the best game... ive ever seen.

  • This game made me love the raiders and their fans. As a Packer fan for 25 years, that is hard for me to do. Thanks Oakland.

  • agreed. GO PACK!

  • my favorite athlete of all time.

can't wait to tell my grandkids and kids about him one day haha!

  • Who the fuck is Demetrius Brown?

    theexcep is such a fag!

  • hey 21Chris or whatever your candy ass name is... you got balls talkin like that about Favre considering the closest you ever go tto the NFl was playing Madden 2002. Grow a pair of balls you waste of semen. condoms work 98% of the time. i guess you were the exception. God you fail at life. Believe me, you are one sad excuse for a human being. Your taking up space on this Earth, so please, kindly leave.

    -me

  • how! that was such a great game!

  • haha javon should have never left green bay what a great career he has had since lol

  • Okay...Favre threw an INT...he has 287 other ones aside form that one. You can't sum a career up with one INT. Look at the records he broke. So he only won 1 Super Bowl...had it not been for Terrell Davis' 157 yds and 3 TD's...favre would have 2 rings. Elway was 12/22 for 123, 0 TD's and an INT. Favre was 25/42 for 256, 1 TD and 0 INT. Over his career, Favre's touchdown to INT ratio was around 1.7 to 1...second only to montana who had 1.9 to 1. Elway has one of the worst at 1 to 1. NOW WHAT!

  • go get a life rather than putting great athletes down. its not like they give a fuck what u think. nobody does. i dont see how anyone in their right mind could care about your existance. when did your parents abandon you? my guess, around 13, 14? yea since then you must have been through rough gay relationships. just a lil tip, they are prolly dumping you because you weigh too much and crush them when you are having anal. plus i dont see how anyone could get pleasure from the size of ur cock. :D

  • I <33 Brett Favre!

  • Yeah, McAlister, you seemed to forget Favre never had a Jerry Rice or Taylor to back him up, Rice is arguably the Greatest WR of ALL TIME, Favre never had a powerful offensive team, he made everyone under him 10x better.

Favre broke every QB record, 253, remember 253 STARTS, 275 with Playoffs! 3 MVP's no FB player ever achieved this, 1 SB.

32 TD's in one season with A BROKEN RIGHT THUMB, could Montana pull that off? I love Montana, but as a FootBall player Brett is Top 3 of All Time.

  • Get a fucking clue idiot!

  • Um yea judging by your name you are a ravs fan. How many Super Bowls have the Ravens been too? O yea only one granted they did win. And how many Qbs have they had since 96? their first year. Yea overrated sure buddy

  • Who gives a fuck what you think.

and how about you try saying different things instead of copy and pasting previous posts. Haha your a fucktard.

  • Dude that wasn't me I swear my friend was over and we were on YouTube then I went to the bathroom and I guess he must have typed that. He is reallly wierd and we call him the Joshasuar.

  • i do not even know who the hell that guy is! Greatest Qb of all-time, tisk-tisk. Brett Favre holds way more records than that douch bag does.

  • Brett is the only QB included in those greats that didn't always have the greatest players around him but he always kept his team in the game and you give him 2 mins. at the end of the fourth quater and he needs a TD to win it you know that he is gonna put you in posistion to do it.....we will all miss ya Brett!!!!!!!

  • Best performance by a QB. hands down.

  • There may have been better QB's but none of them were as entertaining as Brett Favre.

  • Montana is number one, but because of the super bowls. The thing that is amazing about Favre though is the 275 consecutive game streak. To take that many hits, and then play week in and week out is amazing. Favre is also just simply fun to watch. Even with the talented QBs in the league today, the game will certainly miss #4

  • Farve is Awesome, no doubt. But Montana is still the greatest. 4 Superbowls in 4 tries.

  • You are absolutely right, in my opinion: Montana is the greatest. But, if I had the choice of seeing Favre or Montana, I'd go see Favre. He's more entertaining; he and Tarkington are the most entertaining quarterbacks of all time.

  • i have 2 agree also montana is the greatest but i would prefer 2 go see favre

  • Joe Montana is a butt!

  • You know what made Montana so great?

    Jerry Rice.

  • I was at that game

    it was so special

    ill never forget it

    long live favre

    The Legend

  • I agree. I also watched this live and it felt like an experience out of this world! We will always love you Brett. Our prayers are with you and your family.

  • i watched this live... i was amazed!! Thanks again Brett!!!! now go do a lot of nothing and enjoy it.. be assured that you will never be forgotten and that we all will miss you!

  • this clip gives me goosebumps

  • He might not have had more talent then Montana or other top tier QBs but he had just as much heart or more. He LOVED football more then they did and he proved it by showing up EVERY Sunday. He had fun and gave other players hope. Just because he didn't have the best accuracy or best arm, but because of how HE PLAYED THE GAME. Thats what makes him the best....plus he has a hot daughter.

  • I think Favre had more physical raw talent than any of those 6-9 quarterbacks I'd think about putting ahead of Favre. Montana did not have Favre's arm. And Favre could scramble when he was younger. What makes Favre not quite as good as say, the top 5, was that he made A LOT of errors of judgment. Too much adrenaline at times, but, of course without the adrenaline you don't have Brett Favre greatness. It's a catch 22.

  • I agree with what you are saying, but those "errors" were the result of him trying to make something happen. Wasnt that what made him so fun to watch?

  • Wow. The world would certainly be a better place without you and your faggot ravens. Why don't you go fuck rayray in the ass some more because your existence is pointless.

  • Wow. The world would certainly be a better place without you and your faggot ravens. Why don't you go fuck rayray in the ass some more because your existence is pointless.

  • He might not have been the 'Greatest' but he will always be the most loved and missed. :(

  • not better than elway. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

  • 21chrismcalister: die of gohnerria and rot in hell.. now.

  • 21chrismcalister that name almost reminds me a of a good player. u fucking asshole get a fucking life. u obvioulsy dont know what your talking about. o yeah by the way ravens suck. just to inform u. dickhead

  • What exactly have you done with your life 21ChrisMcAlister?

Sound like a bitter bitch to me.

  • this was on my Birthday!!!

    BOOYAH

  • that game was insane

    thank you brett...best ever

  • Some of you claim to be Favre fans, but you can't even spell his name. It's not F-a-r-v-e

  • my bad that was a typo. I know its really Brett Favre.

  • The night I became a die-hard Farve fan ^^^

Football will never be the same for me without #4 in green behind center :(

  • Brett Farve...The reason I watch football. Its been great. We all knew this day would come and here it is now. Football for all Cheeseheads will never be the same again...but...Sorry Viking Nation our team with No Brett can still beat your team with A.P. (hahahahha!)

  • What a game, what a game! I'll never forget it, always hits me in the soft place.

  • Thats what im talken about. In 20 years my kids will say whats the greatest athelet youve ever seen.

    and i will say....

Brett Favre and then Micheal Jordan.

  • Giants fan here...This is probably my best memory of brett favre! What a performance, what a player, what a legend...Greatest QB i ever seen besides Joe Montana..Ten years from now i'll be telling my kids i got to see one of the greatest players in NFL history, thanks for the memories =)

  • What a tremendous performance this was. One of the greatest performances ever from one of the greatest performers ever. I'll miss you Brett!

  • We miss you already Brett. Thanks for the memories =(

  • =( sad stuff

  • Definitely one of the top 5 qb's of all time. Sad to see him finally retire, he had an amazing career.

  • Brett Favre's retiring :(

After 17 illustrious seasons we have now sadly seen the last of the legend who i believe in my heart is the greatest player ever to play in the NFL.

Now yes i do realise that there have been some other great players such as: LT, Butkus, Marino, Elway, Montana, Young, Sanders etc.

... but no one has/will ever have the same passion, fire and determined spirit that Favre has had and has kept throughout a long, physically demanding career.

    Brett Favre GREATEST

  • Brett Favre has retired.....arguably one of the best ever has hung it up....thanks Brett for everything.

  • nobody has ever called brett fave a choker he hands down da best player ever

  • Anyone that thinks Favre is a choker doesn't know shit about football or stats.

  • Anyone that thinks Favre is a choker doesn't know shit about football or stats.

  • that game wuz fuckin amazing!

  • Brett Favre is a legend!!! He will go down as one of the greatest QB's in NFL history!! His name will be synonymous with Lambeau Field and greatness!!!

  • hey thegardner123 shut the fuck up farve is not a choker hes a hall of famer

  • i'm not. mst3000k says that hes a choker and i'm saying hes not. you throw for 399 yards and 4 touchdowns the day after you father passes and somehow mst3000k thinks that favres a choker

  • brett's the shit

  • favre is mr.monday night

  • mst3000k...you have no sense of decency or an appreciation for a legend playing in a great american game. I may not be a Packers fan, but I know that this one was one of the greatest games ever played by one of the greatest players to ever play the game. not only does it show strength and resiliency, it shows teammates coming together to help one of their own. how can you talk bad about that???

  • favre is the greatest qb ever but you gotta give credit to the recievers in this game..i remember watching this...the recievers gave it everything they had to catch anything that came their way that night...legendary game! GO PACK!

  • favres the dawn name one quarterback with more flare then him

  • I remember that game... Unbelievable. That was the year he had a broken thumb also right?

He was spectacular. Started off like 10-10 and his first incompletion was an intentional pass out of bounds. Great Catches by his receivers also.

  • that pass at 45 secs; unfrigginbelievable

no one else could make that pass that perfect

    just simply amazing

  • Ya brett favre is a choker. He really choked in this game. Yep. His father just dies and he throws for 399 yards and 4 touchdowns. Yep choker

  • You don't have a clue about football buddy. You better watch desperate housewives or other shows suitable for you.

  • Favrefan89 fuck you

  • all i know is mst300k is your a fag you've done nothing in your life that's why you sit on the internet and think you're hot stuff i hope brett fires a rocket football right at your face

  • i remember this game... it gave me goosebumps. if this isn't proof that God is a Packer fan, i don't know what is.

  • u must be the packer's offensive coordinator to know the playbook and know which play was called. FAVRE SAID THAT HE SHOULD HAVE THROWN THE BALL OUTSIDE MORE. So it looks like the reciever ran the correct route, Choker just threw a bad ball, AGAIN.

  • i'm sure that all the players that HAVE a father were taught or got started in football by their fathers. I'm not trying to say that is wasn't tough for him, i'm just saying that Choker gets over-glorified for shit like this game where he just chucked it up.

  • u suck at life..

  • If Brett Favre had Randy Moss or Jerry Rice to throw to, you would not be saying jack.

  • the most unbelievable performance brett has ever had. amazing man on and off the field

  • this was top MNF football performances, not tragedies

  • wtf r u talking about?

  • that game was JUST THE RAIDERS INABILITY TO STOP ANYTHING, not brett playing well. He just chucked it up like usual. FAVRE=CHOKE! hahahahahahahahaha! way to go packers, you did it! You choked! Everybody has/had a father. You dont see when Korey Stringer dies IN PRACTICE, the effect it has on a team. He's not the only person to ever lose a loved one and go to work. CHOKE!

  • don't be a dick. it was a great story...he did his job despite the shit that was goin on in his life...his team rallied behind him and helped him have a spectacular game to honor the memory of his father.

it's sickening that you would try to take away the glory, honor, and inspiration this performace gave.

  • Then Stringer's unfortunate death would be part of a "Sports Tragedys" countdown and should not be compared with "Sports Preformances" countdown shows, you asshat.

  • Well I'm sure that if YOUR father ever passes away (which I'm NOT hoping for) That you have your best night of working at Mcdonalds EVER!!! Flip those burgers like a champion!!!!

  • in that game, they caught whatever he through, amazing game

  • Yes...Manlaw #4- Brett Favre is the greatest QB ever, period. Hey btw, the Brewers won the day this aired. Look at the bottom line. Woohoo!

  • I love that dude so flippen much

  • Well guys, I'm also a Brett Farve fan, but this week, they playing against my hometeam the NY Giants. I hope my giants win, but if they dont, then i'll root for the packers. The packs are my second fav team. Go Giants and Packers!

  • Absolutely amazing, this really choked me up. Favre and packer fan for life, there will never be another QB with as much charisma and everyman appeal as favre has brought to this game

  • packer fan 4 life. best game ever. i still get goosebumps when i watch highlights...

  • i will be a packer fan forever. im so proud of the packers this season. i just hope they can go all the way. THEY WILL! haha and Favre will be back next year! Once favre is retired the legacy will continue.

  • not a packers fan but brett favre and john elway are by far my favorite QBs of all time.

  • the second part is right but the first isnt everyone everywhere is a packers fan at heart

  • They always say Brett threw 399 yards and 4 TDs in this game; but what people forget is that Brett threw 4 TDs and 300 yards before halftime, and the Packers ran the ball the second half cause they were up so much.

  • i will die a packer fan. brett is my hero. he doesn't even get all smiley and snotty like some other QBs i know. best guy to ever play the game.

  • that has to be brett favre's greatest performance in the NFl... im a packer fan and brett favre is so awesome... by the way im only 14

  • First td throw to wesley walls is amazing

  • I was in tears watching this game. It was just awesome.

  • Well said, me too

  • Unbelievable......way to go Brett

    watched this game in NYC

  • I was at that game as a Packer Fan!! It was the best game I've ever seen!!! GO BRETT! And Go Packers, 2008 super bowl winners!!!

  • Simply Epic!

  • Favre twipped the raiders! they looked like they were all star struck in the fag ass Bay area that night!

  • The best Quarterback in NFL history...period...

  • yea...i cried.

  • Thats alright, Manlaw

  • agreed, Manlaw

  • im just saying if brett favre never got traded id be a falcon fan haha man i love brett favre

  • this was on my birthday...

it was a SWEET birthday present

  • Brett Favre is simply the greatest quarterback in NFL history. No one has overcome the obstacles he overcame. I can't even imagine the packers without Brett.

  • Favre's performance last night proves without a doubt that there is a God.
