  • thats one way to fight inflation xP

  • "Its not about money, its about sending a message". Such a small quote sums up Joker's whole mission in this movie.

  • The Joker's got balls, since he actually makes the frickin' Mafia look like a bunch of monetarily-obsessed fools (like the new rap industry).

The Czechan was a Gotham gangster, with everything going for him!

"Not so crazy as you look!"

"now, he's making a deal with a homicidal madman who deliberately keeps dressing up like a clown... and he's about to find out - that the joker is even crazier, than he looks!"

  • heaths joker was best but nicholsons joker was really good too

  • @nodo7575 My Dad Thinks The Opposite It Think. He Likes Heath Joker But Nicholson To Him Is The Best.

  • @Godblessamerica2012 Why do you type like a retard?

  • @MuayThaiViking For 1, I Have Asbergers. Look It Up. It Does Not Mean I Am Retarded. 2nd I Type Like This Because It Makes Me Type 10x Faster. Im Sick Of People Who Think I Am Retarded When I Am Actually Smarter Than Most Of Those People.

  • @Godblessamerica2012 Wow i got no idea it was a way for asberger patients to type more effectively, cause you are actually the first one who gave me an honest response :) You learn something new every day, sorry!

  • dayum I would like to meet a mothaphucker like the joker aha

  • The Joker, he's the villain Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now....So we'll insult him call him a freak because he can take it. He's a homicidal maniac......the harlequin of hate......The man who laughs.

  • ''Its not about the money, its about sending a message: everything burns.'' - Heath Ledger

  • @rubberduck54

    Nah, everything floats. Down here.

  • It's not about the money, it's about feedin some dogs.

  • That's a real criminal. Fuck the money lol

  • Gangster: They won't work for a freak!

Joker (Imitating weird Euro accent) Freeeeeeakkkk!

SOOOO rare that a bad guy could be so epically frightening and intimidating and at the same time hilarious..... Heath did it brilliantly here and throughout the movie.....

One ? though: Did anyone get Lau down from the top of the money pile as it was burning????????????????? LMAOOO

  • @SithLordNefaar022 Well, we didn't seem him in the rest of the film, so the indication was that The Joker burned him to death.

  • Last time i burned that much money I cried for a month

  • He just wants to help control inflation. He's probably better than the federal reserve, ;) AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAHHHAHAHAHAH

  • Wanna see a magic trick? With this pencil and this brick? Introducely lanarky, screw the system be crazy, let's burn all are money, and laugh cuz it is funny , hehehehahahoho!!!!!!

(sorry for the misspelled words!). XD

  • The joker would've made a good occupy wallstreet protester.

  • @Decimate92 No cuz the Joker is actually intelligent and most of the time, knows what he is doing.

  • @JHumisto

EXACTLY! I had this talk with soo many people and they don't realize the joker's smarter than most realize....

    CRAZY, YES....... but not Stupid.

  • In a way, joker was more sane then everyone else.

  • I don't think I've ever seen another movie villain do anything like this. He doesn't even try to give some righteous-sounding rationalization for what he does. There is no pretense of justification whatsoever.

  • @Galen052

I have a huge personal enjoyment of this scene and what it means. It's beautiful. And it is, as you say, kinda - original. But it's not utterly original. Check out Shakespeare's best villains, such as Aaron and Iago. In particular check out Iago on youtube, whether it's the Ewan McGregor or Kenneth Branagh version.

  • @ravenouscolonelhart Ah, yes, Iago - one of literature's classic villains. I did look at some of the stuff on Branaugh and McGregor playing the part, and Iago is totally sinister and duplicitous. Still, Iago has a motivation, and that motivation is actually like Cain's motivation for evil in the Bible - being looked over by an authority figure in favor of someone else. The Joker has no stated motive, and doesn't care about money, pride, power, or anything like that. He is pure destruction.

  • @Galen052 good response. I've always taken Iago's explanation of his motives - 'ooh I didn't get the job I wanted' - to be quite a bit like the motives the Joker gives himself in this film - 'ooh my dad beat me,' or 'ooh my wife left me' - more of a mockery of the very idea that every evil act is a simple response to some obvious problem.

  • @ravenouscolonelhart Yes, everything he says is a manipulative mockery of normal peoples 'issues'sucking them into his way of thinking. Some people are just evil...who gives a shit why. Thats why i think psycholigy isnt much of a profession, if i got a problem, i'll fix it myself thanks doc..., no Prozac or Xanax for me, a Colt .45 will do the trick

  • @ThePimpdaddy187 Unless the person with the problem also has a Desert Eagle .50 and a quicker finger than yours...

  • @ravenouscolonelhart You know, the more I think about it, the more I don't buy Iago's explanation, either. Simply being upset is not enough to explain why someone would deliberately do so many horrible things. The real question is: Why would someone like Iago respond that way? Most people would not resort to that type of deception and even murder. That's what makes Iago and the Joker such fantastic villains. No REAL explanation is ever given for their actions.

  • @Galen052 Oh, we knew the Joker's reason for doing it: because it entertains him to see the world wrecked.

  • @Ironcabbit That's true, but it kind of just backs the problem up a step. Why does it entertain him to see the world wrecked when virtually everyone else finds it disturbing? The psychology of villains is the real question here.

  • @Galen052 Maybe he ran afoul of Bane and his organization, and ended up with his scars and broken mind.

  • @Galen052

    true

  • This scene gave me a lady boner for joker

  • o the relevance!!

  • I love how he throws the money at Lau

  • Heath would have loved Price Tag

  • everything burns

  • Oh, Heath ;( We miss you... I feel proud to be Australian when I see your great performances.

  • why do they keep their money in a boat and not in a bank

  • he played an awesome joker

  • if he thinks they are shit criminals for caring about money then why'd he rob the bank at the beginning

  • @adjam1991

because some men just want to watch the world burn

  • @adjam1991 to make a point...and his point was made. his point was the mob only wanted money, he dosn't like that very much, so he robbed the mob and now that he robbed the mob he had the mob by the balls he is saying money is not everything, in fact it's nothing.

  • yeah dynamite and gunpowder may be cheap but you need some money to pay for them

  • you know when you saw heath ledger slide down that big pile of money...you know no one could play a better joker.

  • 0:25 HEADSHOT!

  • hahahha the money slide

  • Everything burns!

  • Great scene, but would that cigar even be hot enough to ignite the gasoline or its fumes?

  • @JWFernel a cigarette alone can do it man, its gas haha.

  • @napalmman420

No, it can't. Mythbusters, among other things, have disproven that. The tip of a lit cigarette is not hot enough to ignite spilled gasoline.

  • Comment removed

  • @adjam1991 dude, did you not read that guys comment? quote: "The tip of a lit cigarette is not hot enough to ignite spilled gasoline."

  • To some people money is very important but to the Joker it`s just a piece of paper with some black on it !

  • WHERE'S THE ITALIANS?

  • LOL 1:19 joker imitating him saying freaak

  • why should the work for him if he burned his entire money??

  • @Riesenpuller he didnt burn the entire money. he only burned half. besides it was jokers own money he burnt

  • @Riesenpuller well its either that or die?

  • MY MONEY!!!!!!!!

  • Ha, since when is gas cheap.

  • @rawknrole67 since when is any of that cheap?

  • Oh Jesus Christ, I sent this to my friend and she sent back Jessie J...Something wrong that that girl... :)

  • thumbs up if you come here to watch some stupid comments in the top

  • I think its the dark side of Jessie J ...

  • So he burns money big deal. The American government burns our money every day.

  • @TurKFXI shut up

  • @TurKFXI Are you retarded or something, do you even know how money even works?

  • @defhawk2010 You must be because you don't understand that he was saying a joke, gtfo of the internet if you can't handle that people aren't trying to write an intellectual novel here...

  • @ZombieKillerWhale go suck a dick

  • @defhawk2010 Looks like you really are retarded because you didn't even bother to read my comment, you just copy and pasted an unoriginal insult. Now go outside if you can't handle the internet

  • @TurKFXI yes but he burns the Chinese corrupt banker on top of the pile of money

while the government would just give him more money

that's what nice about chaos its fair :)

  • @TurKFXI Government? What government? They gave up actually governing years ago.

  • he IS a man of his word.

  • he doesn't care about money, himself, or anything he's a rebel without a cause and that's what makes him one of the greatest supervillians ever.

  • 0:25 What a shot

  • "Where's the italian?"

    Is he talking about Maroni?

  • @Leatherbubba Yes who was giving Joker up around that time

  • @Leatherbubba yea

  • @Marluxia131 Joker's girlfriend? Good one... hihi.

  • the joker want a criminal who wanted money he just done it for boredom

  • The joker is the best, he fights becouse he wants to deliver the message to people, sopeople can see all the false walls that inprison them, he fights to open peoples mind and make them see that governers, presidents and politics are all a plan to keep the iner demon inside of us, he fights so that we can show our real face.

And thats why he is a hero, he fights againts what we blindly think is right just to show its rong and he wins nothing in return so he is the same as a super. hero

  • @OMEGAMIVEGA really... look, the Joker is a bad ass, and a great villain... but he isn't a hero. He's an anarchist. Not a Hero...

  • @porterbehling hmmm i wouldnt say an anarchist...more like a rebel to the society which demons and devils have built.... he wants things HIS way...dosnt matter if its chaos or peace...

  • @OMEGAMIVEGA i agree DEFINITLY agree. well said

  • I love Joker so much XD. I love how he is throwing money at Lau(name spelled right?) like its garbage lol

  • Only 150,350 views? Where's the Italian?

  • I love this... Money is just a piece of paper that you can burn away.... its nothing different from when kids traded pokemon cards as children. Joker is my new idol

  • @thevoiceofreason94 Yeah?...despite the old phrase money cant buy happyness iv always found that it can so im not burning mine. Good luck to you though...your going to need it.

  • @ThePimpdaddy187 hmm? ._. my point was money is basically like pokemon cards, you trade them and get things in return. its just a piece of paper but my disappointment lies in people who worship it like its everything. we are living in a society where money has become a new religion and that is why i was pissed. Joker also displayed that he wasn't in it for the money he was in it for the pleasure and ......personal enjoyment of tormenting batman.

  • @thevoiceofreason94 Thats not entirely correct, you cant trade pokemon for goods and service's like class flights and 5 star hotels. Not all societys are like that, Thailand for example. I dont understand why your pissed either, its your life, if theres something about it you dont like, change it. Bitching on you-tube wont help., Id rather life be short and sweet, which it probably will be, than long and drawn out..Jokers a fictional character in a movie, its not real life. Fantastic acting tho

  • @ThePimpdaddy187 uhm....my point again was that money is a piece of paper. bitching on youtube? its called opinions. everyone has them and yes joker is a fictional character. you've never had a fictional idol before? why the hell do you think these characters exist? to entertain and perhaps inspire the young mind. why am i pissed? i was never pissed in teh first place. don't assume things

  • Blooper. I filled my car up this morning, gasoline isn't freaking cheap at all.

  • Looks like America has some competition..

  • lol this is how I feel against money. (or you know, the money system. :P )

  • @pricture Obviously because you probably don't have one =)

  • @KlaymenDel Because I "dont have one"? One of what, money? And how is it "obvious", to you bud?

Anyways to clairify, I do have money like everyone else but thats not what I meant. Our money system ensures the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor, itc sickening.

I suggest watching vids like The American Dream (in my favs), if you dont know what I'm talking about.

  • @pricture Oh. In that way. I thought you one who don't appreciate money at all, which make you the one who too busy yelling in the Internet, instead of working

  • @KlaymenDel Oh ok then.

  • @pricture hah.... money ensures population control

  • This is my favorite part in any movie - because it completely challenges something that most people don't even think to - MONEY! So many people just blindly chase it, and the Joker is more interested in changing people.

  • can someone explain 0.16 to me.... where was THE ITALIAN [mob boss]?.. why was he in the hospital willing to leak information to Gordon instead of going to the joker meeting . Never understood that

  • @ublec15 because batman interrogated him in the alleyway - he chucked him off the balcony, injusring him and putting him in the hospital.

  • Lmfao at :26

  • "Why do we cut you up into little pieces and feed you to your pooches hmmm??! And then well see how loyal a hungry dog REALLY IS !!" >:D

  • I laughed so damn hard when The Joker starts throwing the money at Lao 0:27. I mean what the hell? He just randomly decides to start throwing money at the guy in the middle of a conversation!

  • - Guy: It won't work for a frrrreaaaakkk...

    - Joker: FREEEAAAK :P

    @ 1:19

  • It's a good job he doesn't need money to pay his flunkies or anything. Having an endless supply of expendable mooks is as cheap as chips.

  • @BaddeJimme I'd work for him just for a single drop of all that cash.

  • Amazing!!!

  • Frreeaahhkkkkk

  • the joker doesnt care about money i think he justs wants to show gotham that he is only as bad as they let him be because he couldnt have done all that by himself and that even the most pure people like harvey, can be corrupted

  • i like how the joker burns the money, why would he need money, he just take what he wants!!! thats what im talking about

  • It's sad that Ledger died nobody will ever fill his boots as the joker now

  • Joker burning that money made me cry!!

  • @junaldinho100 we alot of people dont know is the guy was still on top of the money the joker killed him too thats why he says everything burns.

  • I know it's just a movie, but in real life, there's no way you could pay a henchmen enough money to pour gas on that huge mountain of cash and just stand by. Maybe it would be possible if all his henchmen were wearing bomb-collars or something, or if he had their families held hostage somewhere, but very doubtful. Can you imagine Joker trying to recruit new henchmen? walking into a bad neighborhood or shady bar with that makeup on? he'd get his ass kicked.

  • @drewnod And then you realized it's a movie with extreme personas like the Joker, where anything is possible. Oh wait, you seemed to have missed that.

  • @drewnod Most of his henchmen are psychos who are the kind of people he attracts. Not all criminals want money, maybe he had something else for them. Also, I think by this time in the film Joker already had control of most the crime in Gotham. If you are in a crime syndicate you're gonna follow who ever runs the show because most of those low lives don't have anything outside of crime to turn to. Do you think they are just gonna go get a job in a factory. Without leadership they're nothing.

  • @drewnod Well crazy people our free from worldly thoughts an possessions whats so ironic that is how God wants you to be...almost like the Joker HA HA HA HA

  • It is refreshing to witness the raw cynicism of this character after dealing with all the plastic smiles, all those perfect people, rules followers who won't admit how overrated humanity really is.

  • the joker could be a force for massive deflation.

  • There was a fanfiction that said the joker did all of this kind of stuff because he knew that their universe's only purpose was to be a comic for ours

  • oooh yeeahhhh !!! it's not about money , it's about sending a message ...everything burns !!!

  • Haha The joker mocks the russian saying the word freak

  • @100DOLLAMAN The man is a chechen

  • @LoneWolfofAlaska Lol thanks I never really knew his name. Remarkably played by a fine British actor. He coulda fooled me.
