imo.... yes. its more or less a different format. more like a computer, in that you can search through the folders, but it also creates folders due to artist, genre, and date.

the screen doesn't easily, but the casing does.... it has a finish that is easily rubbed off with just holding in your hands.

not as much, the itouch has most of the app developer's attention, due to it being the more popular media tablet

Are you logged in to your Youtube account on your Archos when you go on youtube? Cause perhaps your Youtube account has in its preference to load the "high quality" version for each video. The "high quality" versions on Youtube are Mp4 h264 480×270 1mbit/s thus require the podcast plugin to playback, but all videos on Youtube are also in 320×180 - 350kbit/s Sorenson which works without plugin.

Yeah its a pretty big pain in the ass to have to pay for plugins... but after that i couldnt find anything on my computer that couldnt play so i guess it all depends on how much you are willing to pay

its a pretty nice player but it also has its cons such as

1-doesn't bring a case or sleeve.

2-the paint gets scratches sooo easily (just by carrying it in you pocket)

3-it crashes if you open up too many web tabs

4-accessories are a bit expensive

5-extra for plug ins

6-gets really warm (250 gig version)

7-archos support is horrible

8-takes pretty long to charge on pc

it has a regular 3.5 mm heaphone jack, so it accepts the ones that it comes with, and it also accepts any regular 3.5mm headphones.

Im asking because I might be holding a drink in one hand on a hot day and the cup will be dripping water.

if you have something else to support the archos. what i do when im surfing the net at night, i put the stand down, and use a pen as a stylus. but i usualy hold it with my left hand, and type with the right.

i mean if im walking out in the streets and i cant put my drink down and i want to change to a specific song. it might be hard because its in landscape mode and theres not auto portrait mode. my left hand is going to be all wet.
