I actually think one of the more positive things you can say about Silent Hill 4 is that it's the only game in the series with an unstoppable antagonist in Walter that's NOT just a total Pyramid Head ripoff. I can't wait to see what kind of big, spooky, muscular, probably mask-wearing man I'll get to encounter in Downpour!

I was playing through Silent Hill 2 and noticed that during the boss battle between two of the pyramid heads James does refer to them as Pyramid Head if you check them after the boss battle. That's where the name was coined from; not the fans.

The fact it's the only thing I've found to like (that wasn't simply read off the SH wiki) is a single line of dialogue is... kind of pitiful. o_O

Wait, wait, here's one more. A monster you could look at and say, "Getcher head out of your ass, you damn wanker," and mean it literally... That's pretty sweet, too.

Okay, so two. Out of how-many-hours of gameplay? I remain largely unimpressed.

Hey Kamoc, just in case you care: the new serrations on PH's knife aren't random, they're a reference to Alex's default Ka-bar knife; in fact, his whole knife looks basically like an oversized Ka-bar. Considering PHs role in the Silent Hill mythos and a certain later plot point, this is probably a dig at Alex' own guilt issues.

Write in half assed references to every other character and some low brow psychobabble about trying to be a monster everyone wants and you’ve saved the franchise by sucking the last bits of the fandom dry.

Actually my hard run sputtered out just past the police station but starting here was when my health items began trickling away specifically because of the needler. Yep an enemy in an actiony survival horror more irritating than Dead Space's Leaper and The Suffering's burning witch girls combined, shouldn't be possible.

I think I may take another crack at it though now that you've shown me how to outcheese the cheesy bastards, I'm just a whore for cheevos.
