  • Ahhhh, classic Slayer, better than sex.

  • I´ve got this Combat Tour in VHS back in early 90´s and Slayer fuckin´rules and killz supreme!

  • Silent death rises...Ave Slayer!

  • i just love this concert.

  • Fucking slayer for life

  • SLAYER'S BEST SONG

  • lol 6:05

  • WAUW, I knew slayer was good live, but in the early days.. it's just epic! =D

Thank you very much for posting this!

i've been born way to late...

  • It's no wonder Tom needed serious spinal surgery.

  • two words FUCKING SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

    HEADBANGING COMMENCE NOW

  • Kerry King Thinking *Do NOT use left arm to wipe sweat off of forehead*

  • 0:23 you will never see Jeff like that again! picture that now!

  • artificial fuckin peace.

  • FUCKING SLAYER, THRASH METAL DEFINED!

  • Heavy metal is the greatest music ever invented.

  • Anybody else notice the big black guy just chilling on the stage?

  • bands just dont put on shows like they use to

  • @that1ethnicguy well yeah half the places ban pits and stagediving now suks

if only old bands like vio-lence, sacred reich, overkill, and dark angel really came back to rule the world

  • I went to a tankard show and the pit was awesome not even counting with the crazy dives everyone did and it was a small place fucking awesome i'm only 19 i wish i lived back then missed most of it but fighting for it to come back

  • way to show kerry kings fingers during jeffs solo stupid nigger cameraman

  • tis is fucking old skool thrash underground style thrash till fucking death!!!!!

  • @slaytallicdethrax yeah man i know what your talking about. the local venue here throws you out if you start a pit. but exodus and kreator, with warbringer, came through and tore that place apart. security tried to break it up and got pulled in

  • Love this song. One of Slayer's all- time best. Definitely one of the heaviest songs of 1985.

Fans of heavy music should look into VSD on here. Recorded live in 1987, seven songs including "Kill Your kids", "Mental Breakdown" and " Conformity Sucks". VSD were kids at the same time Slayer was recording this stuff.

  • Thanks for the post - I saw this tour when it came through Toronto - Unfortunately Exodus wasn't on the bill but replaced by Razor. Slayer stole the show as usual

  • their all badasses,

    you can't deny this

    because no one can!!!!!!!!!

    Chemical warfare!!!

  • jeff with his badass gibson with kahler ;)

  • Now compare 5:15 with what pussy ass kirk hammett

  • fucking-amazing!

  • slayer kickz ass

  • king is a legend...he could play naked

  • anyone noticed that the end of chemical warfare is the beginning of ghosts of war?

  • Goddamn, you're a newfag!

  • Goddamn, you're a nerd at a Slayer video!

  • this was the heaviest song of all time in 85 -until reign in blood was released!

  • Best slayer's song ever.

  • 2:27 is so fuckin thrash metal

  • I love how Slayer had such a huge punk influence in their early days. Black Flag, Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys, etc. were just as much an influence as Judas Priest or Venom. The same goes for the Misfits and thier influence on Metallica.

  • and D.R.I for slayer

  • does anybody else wonder why tom always played 4-string basses and never went to a 5-string??

  • cause hes true

  • cuz five strings be gay

  • cause it would look like a guitar

  • Because he'd never need the fifth string. It's not like he's the most technical bass player.

  • he has a 5 -string bass for god hates us all i mean!

  • He's always used 4 strings!

  • nope...at got hates us all he uses 5 string because the song is too low ... and jeff and kerry got 7 string guitars!

  • not for god hates us all - but they have seven strings now

  • Best guess I can make is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • has to be one of the best tours ever

  • ok first of all twistedgoresplatter, your name kicks ass seriously thats brutal. and this video kicks ass. nice job my friend =). HAIL SATAN, LONG LIVE SLAYER

  • 10 stars, not less...

  • props churchofsatan23

  • it is indeed a mockingbird ...tiajuanna cut supreme....more than likely loaded with bill lawerence pickups ..fully active stealth electronics ....back when rich were quality....check ebay ...you see these tiajuanna cuts quite often

  • what kind of guitar is king playing?im pretty sure it aint a mockingbird

  • what? Of course it IS a mockingbird.

  • Yes, it is a mockingbird, he has said so himself and you can tell just by looking at it.

  • they sound like blashemer from sodom

    well kinda

  • this is 1 killer version of this song

  • at the very end theres a germs logo on the back of someones leather jacket. interesting how some punx love metal and some metalheads like and respect punk, like the dead kennedys sticker thats always been on Jeff Hanneman's guitar. anyway, it doesnt matter, music is music and slayer is heaviest band i've ever heard. its the only band that makes me wanna floor a gas pedal and drive 200 mph into a fucking brick wall. the musics so heavy i'd fucking kill myself for it. hail satan too man.

  • this is 1 of da best concerts i seen!exodus, slayer and fucking more \m/

  • ALL HAIL SLAYER!!!!

  • I'd give my left nut to get that guitar tone. anyone know how he got it?

  • Crank up your fucking marshall ;)

  • my Marshall doesn't get that tone, though. :( lol.

  • turn up alot of mid and high and full gain. You owe me a nut

  • This was when deathmetal was starting to reach it's peak. A majical time to be 16 which i was.

  • Its thrash metal btw

  • in fact i'd call it blackened thrash, because of their image and sound of their early work- very dark and harsh. In fact Araya even asks the people in the show "are you into black metal" on one bootleg from that time.

  • when could u please tell me is it on you tube?

  • I never saw this on youtube but look for the bootleg called "Church of Slaytan live 1985", i found this on Soulseek i think. After playing Kill Again and before Haunting the Chapel, Araya says "We are all here in the worship of metal. Are you into heavy metal? Are you into black metal? Are you into speeeeeed metal? We are all here, we must keep Haunting the Chapel".

  • Holy shit...faster than the original. I think this song is the closest to their Venom influence.

This is awesome...Exodus, Slayer, and Venom in one tour. Not shit like the "Unholy Alliance Tour" with Slayer and fucking Shit-not.

  • Lombardo is wearing a DRI shirt !!! cool , fucking SLAYERRRRRRRRRRR

  • What I would do to be 18 and at that concert...

  • so good.that slayer early days.when tom play with his fingers.i know why the gilrs are there.i know a lot of gilrs who love araya.KErry king is so badass.the first time i see it with long hair, damn he fucking scary.but he a very good guitarist.hanneman is perfect.DAve are killing the durms with his feet man.

  • This song fucking pawns!!!

  • Whoa! The chick at 6:03-6:08

  • amazing!!

    i was not even born!!

  • Slayer kicks eternal fukin ass!!!!!!!

  • best band ever \m/

  • He's about 50 now... If u would so old, I'd look which voice u had =)

    P.S.

    FUCK IT UUUUUUUUUP!!!

  • what!?

    work on your grammar man.

  • No, dude, Cronos CAN'T sing...But Venom is still great band! =)

  • your an idiot!

  • that stupuid!faggot

  • just kidding thanx a lot

    for uploading

  • i bet when he's 70 he'll still shout harder than you. all u can do is type

  • yeah well when your mums 70 ill still be thrusting her harder than you

  • that's kinda gross dude. but atleast you listen to Slayer! :D

  • His voice still owns if you ask me, it's lower

  • this is the best live version of this song! slayer fucking rules!

  • that was the best live version of that song! slayer fucking rules!

  • its hard to believe this was the LA scene in the 80's

  • this is that shit you wait for youre whole life and then everything else sucks

  • Total speed and violence.

  • FUCK IT UP!!!!

  • Lombardo has a DRI shir!!

  • but of course if it wasnt a dri shirt itd prolly be a Exodus or Dead kennedys shirt

  • All the songs from Combat Tour '85 are fucking awesome, pure thrash, all the band members at their very best, I like Tom's performance very much Headbanging, Energy,& power. Thanks for posting this video, "5 STARS FROM ME" __SEX MURDER ART__

  • seig heil!

  • oh man dave lombardo is an animal!! Thanks for posting this, this is fucking awesome. Slayer at it's best!!

  • He sure is.

  • i have the combat tour 85 video in vcd complete version , if any interest in obtain contact me.

  • i'm interested

  • exxxxelenteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Slayer's best album for me is Show No Mercy but this is good stuff!

  • the guitar solos are as often with slayer a little "special".... but the energy during the song is totally awesome !

by the way, in 85 , give me the name of a band who was more brutal than slayer....

  • venom... they were more satanic. if ur talking aggressive in speed, then slayer tops all

  • Chaos UK in their 1983 album are far more fast, brutal and aggressive than Slayer.Check it.

Btw this song is awesome. The few from Slayer I like.

  • Kreator...

but i prefer the allmighty slayer

  • Araya's bass pickups looks like the SS sign =D..

thats his best base then ^^

  • My grandfather was killed by the SS. I don't think you should make fun of that

  • i didnt make fun of ur grandfather dipshit -_- im just noticing something funny

  • who cares? fuckoff!!!

  • this song kicks major ass

  • slayer fucking rlz!!

  • whoa whoa whoa! why the fuck is jeff hanneman playing a les paul arrrrgghhh! thank god he's with ESP!

  • that gibson les paul is a real guitar. even for metal

  • Zakk Wylde, Jimmy page, Micheal Amott, Duane Allman, Jeff Beck, Buckethead, Eric Clapton, James Hetfield, and Kirk Hammett will be too busy kicking your ass to recieve the message. They'll be lead by Nigel Tufnel.

  • talk to me in 4 years when you have a life...my band is off to the playboy mansion...

  • I wasn't aware the playboy mansion was in your mom's basement.

  • we live in a condo number 1 and number two one of Heff's girlfriends is having her 31st and she wanted a heavy metal band (us the guys who have a life outside of computers...)

    peace from LA...loser

  • which is why you're having an argument over the internet

  • anybody can say that from behind a computer....what's the name of your band, post live footage of it up on youtube...then i might believe it. but it's hard for people that are reading through the comment boards to just go ahead and believe that you were invited to the playboy mansion...i could say "Hey it's me Kerry King....this song is a personal favorite of mine" would you believe me.

  • i doubt you even know how this argument began...it all started by some snide comment i made about les Paul guitars...its evolved to this...we are Eerie Inhabitants by the way...named after the Testament song. you sound like a cool guy so i'll say this...don't asscoiciate yourself with such

  • Hah! Ok i'll respond to that. My band, Beyond the Shadow IS on youtube but I admit its not worth watching, its a 2 year old cover of Trivium, but im proud enough to say we done well since then. Thats your source of proof from me. Do you belive me?

  • It's really funny, I just checked out your video. You would think someone who was invited to the Playboy mansion to play would have a better amp. Also, your tapping skills are very sloppy, keep working on it dude, you might be able to sound just like everyone else in a few years.

  • Hammett sucks.

  • ESP sucks. bc rich and jackson are way better. ESP only steals guitar designs from other companies. And jeffs les paul has other pickups and a kahler.

  • Was that a joke? Kerry is the king!!!!

  • i like the final part of the video ahahahaha

  • he'd still turn you down dude...bad news!

  • r.i.b. is crazy fast but the dude below me forgot about divine intervention, that album is also very speedy. long may slayer reign \m/ \m/

  • tom araya playing with his fingers and no pick on a song this fast is impressive, the songs from this show i think are slayer really at their peak, hell awaits is my favorite album by em, reign in blood is really damn close though, i just love the demented sound of hell awaits, RIB is a bit faster though

  • slayer rules

  • My friends and I used to have this on video. I think it was called "The Ulitimate Revenge-Slayer, Venom, and Exodus". Slayer still totally rules, but who doesn't love this old school shit? ONe more thing- this song is INSANELY fast on the Haunting the Chapel cd, and they are playing equally fast live. AMAZING.

  • o man, i saw them in sacaremento for the mason co-headline, and it fucking insane, miracle i survived the pit.

  • nipple at 6:05

  • best thrash band ever!!!!1

  • 2 words SLAYER ROCKS

  • This video is awesome

  • SLAYER

  • I saw that live , long live SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

  • ahhh only if the music scene was more like this now. now its sbout how tight your jeans are and how you can create a clone army out of the "metal" fans. oh and flailing like a dead fish.

    Long live THRASH!!!!!!!!!!!

look up AGGRESSOR THRASH METAL ASSAULT on youtube and check out my friends band

  • What is with those sluts at the end? They look totally out of place.

  • hahaha dunno

  • lol they dont look out of place! they got the gear and look completely out of it! what could be more perfect?

  • kerry looks so cool here, i would give just about anything for that look hehe

  • Show No Mercy, released in December 1983 by Metal Blade Records,

In August 1984, Slayer released a three song EP, entitled Haunting the Chapel. The EP featured a darker, more thrash-oriented style than its predecessor, and laid the groundwork for the future direction of the band.[10] The opening track, "Chemical Warfare," has become a live staple, played at nearly every show since 1984.

Released in September 1985, Slayer's second full length release Hell Awaits

    per Slayer wiki page

  • esta bn

    maniako

    verhas!!!!

  • Uncle Rory

From the EP Haunting The Chapel released between Show No Mercy & Hell Awaits

  • no after hell awaits and b4 raining

  • guess again

    Haunting came out in 1984

    Reign in Blood in 1986

  • Hell Awaits came out in 1985

  • this is probably one of the few bands that attually sound better than on studio recording. No words to describe..... *%*^(^*%

  • Slayers best ever song along with Angel of death and seasons in the abyss

  • seasons?

  • cronos would do that

  • Haha thats a funny story but now Tom would be the shit out of him!! HAIL SLAYER!!!

  • This is the tour where Cronos from Venom gave Tom Araya a black eye for pissing on his head while he was drunk. LOL. True story.

  • hahahahah are you serious? thats funny as hell

  • Story goes that Araya staggered onto the tour bus late one night and asks, "Where's the bathroom?" Jokingly, Cronos opens his mouth and says, "Right here". At which point Tom pissed on his head. Needless to say, Cronos jumped up and knocked him the fuck out. LOL.

  • ahaha oh man, thats good

  • right ^^

  • slayer kicks ass

  • slayerrrr fucking ass holes!!!

    rainning bloooooddddd!!!

    slayer forever!

  • My favorite Slayer song! It's really a killer kick-ass song!

  • One of mine too. i like your taste in metal

  • Go rent "Christine" the Stephen king movie about the car from hell. The main character is Arnie, who is tormented by a guy named Buddy Repperton. Lombardo is Buddy Repperton!!

  • Actually Buddy was played by some guy named William Ostrander

  • Oh, I know...but he resembles 80s Dave...interestingly enough so does a villian on the movie Passenger 57 that is killed 1st by Wes Snipes !

  • Heh, good point. It would be cool is Dave really did play those characters though

  • really? i love that movie but i never noticed it before anyway that movie kicks ass and this song

  • kerry.. 100lb.'s lighter!!

    slayer kills it.!!!

  • Dude, you should see Hanneman when he was in the '90s; was he one fat mother fucker.

  • jajajajajajaja

    Grande nuclear assault

  • at 5:13 they wouldnt let go of kerry's guitar this was crazy at the end
