i think im going to go for the PSR-295, the 3500xlt seems to have quite alot of bad reviews, and i can hear on this vid that the scanner works at military bases :D
Yes, they're one of the best brands around, however for less money mine does exatly the same job ;) lol, only difference if it doesn't have some of the extra features that are unique to uniden (close call is one)
Hope you enjoy your new scanner when you get it :D
One bit of advice, which I'm sure you alreay know but it's always worth repeatng for anyone else reading this looking for a scanner lol :D.
When you buy your scanner, read all the specs very carefully and make sure it will cover 225-380MHz (which your 3500xit does you'll be pleased to know lol XD), other wise you won't get the miliair bands.
We lived under that flight path for two years at the caravan park ( Rivermead ) near the Packet Inn Pub between 1988 -1990, they made a great noise when 25 Tornado`s were scrambled in 15 minutes each morning.
Excellent footage there ! sorry about your camera, i dropped my £500 camera once on a holiday, BUT luckily it survived alright lol may i ask where you find out frequencies please, i have a scanner and dont really get much on it,, considering i live over a militart flight path lol
great filmjob you've done,and sorry for your camera,it seems camera's always want to fall,i had a new one,in the first week it drops on the ground,lucky me no crax on the lense.their very busy out there.greetings.

@stormcruiser2
An excellent choice, but then I would say that lol ;D
It's the size of a small brick and it takes ages to entre the frequencies you want but I wouldn't swap it for anything :).
