no doubt this is when it was fun. now lil wayne and a lot of others making millions is ridiculous. and dont call me a hater casue its not like that. i just feel these guys, run dmc, and others should of made what these rappers are making these days. these days rap and hip hop FUCKIN SUCKS. ... mr magic and marley marl used to blow this song up then we all went out to roseland and union square at mid till 7am... those were the days...
THIS IS REAL RAP MUSIC!!! This junk they have out now is nothing close to this and other old school rap! I love this cut.... But I would really love to see the real video instead of this... WHomever posted this.. YOU THE MAN!!!!
You're saying that this record was released in 1987 but we were listening to it in early 1985. We were absolutely amazed with the way that they were dropping those lyrics. Like when the Notorious B.I.G. dropped lyrics on the "Juicy" track... It was amazing!
Who's rapping in this one?? When I was little I used to think it was Rakim although he wasn't part of the group. I'm from Boston, so I loved the music video. The clocks in the music video are near Forest Hill station
Agreed with other posters. Glad this is up. Haven't heard it since my tape popped about 20 years ago. Seems like all my tapes popped about 20 years ago.
Man it's about time they put this video here... well the song is right but the original video is not this one. There was a guy in a jacket during the scratch portion... he used his zipper as the scratch... it off the chain... miss it

This is REAL rap. Back in the day they didn't have to say F this and F that to sell a record...

@FireitupBedford True story! Songs about having fun and telling everyone they can be what they want and not to let anyone tell them otherwise.
