@fahadalrefaei I'm not sure what APU is, but the internet was provided by the dorms free of charge. ( Or it was included ). We didn't have to pay any utilities such as gas or water, so it was really fair. I'm not sure what the speed was, but it was fairly decent UNTIL people started moving into the dorms. During peek work hours ( and if no one is on vacation ) then the internet could be really sluggish, because they were all downloading music/ or stuff.
Well if you've applied to Ritsumeikan already, then the information should be available to how much it should cost. It's by far the cheapest option, and it could have changed by now, but as far as I know it's AROUND 36000 yen a month, which with conversion rates now a days, is a little rough. But it's almost roughly 1000 yen a night, nearly same price as guests staying over.
They can stay until midnight and then they must leave.
Guests CAN stay over if you plan a few days in advance and pay 1000 Yen PER night for a guest.
Step 1. You have to go to the International Office and talk to JJ or Chris and they will give you a card.
Step 2. Go to the cafeteria across the Plaza ( Ryoyokan or something? ) and put the card into the money machine and add 1000+ yen bill into the machine.
Step 3. Go to the building that's between the international Office and the Cafeteria, ( To the right ) and find the machine in the dark corner and put the card in and print off X tickets ( Where X = the amount of 1000 yen or nights you want ) and it will print off stickers.
Step 4. Get the "Overnight Guest Form" From the international Office and put down the dates, names, reasons, etc. and the stickers on the form and hand it in, and
If you get to know the Yamazaki's then they'll try to be nice, but they strictly adhere to the rules that are given to you during your orientation, I.E. No guest can stay more than 5 days ( I think? ) in a row in a month's time ( 1000 Yen a night ) and they MUST be out by midnight, or he will yell at you at 12:01. Mr. Yamazaki has also made up new rules - and he will make everyone in the house follow them.
No problem! Even though I don't live there anymore, I plan on editing this video and making a new one and posting it.. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask
No problem! I did it because I had the exact same feeling before I went, but if you have any questions, I'll be more than welcome to answer them, even though I don't live there right now
aww man sorry none of the cool ones. Mine is the green one hanging on the front desk. Apparently the Yamazaki's nabbed it when I left it in the lounge when I went home!
Yes, there are two seperate dorms, International house 1, and International house 2, As well as several apartment options. The dorms however are about 10-20 minutes by bike away from actual campus. I have no clue what I-house 2 looks like, but this is what I-House 1 is like
Is the Internet provide by APU in your dorm free? and what was the speed?
I'm moving to APU this April as a graduate student, is the room any different than yours?
Thanks
