its also hard to belive watching this that california speedway use to be able to sell 100000 tickets to a cart race now they cant sell 50000 to a sprint cup race what happen?
hard to belive watching this race that cart is now out of business great races thanks tony george for screwing open wheel racing hope your happy watching indy car races taking place in front of 10000 people at chigagoland and sorry robin miller it aint isc fault people dont care about your sport
2000 would've been up in the air since Montoya and Vasser struggled somewhat with switching from a Reynard Honda to a Lola Toyota, but Zanardi would've set records that Bourdais would've had a tough time to beat.
Michel Jourdain was quite the superspeedway driver in those days IMO

IMO Zanardi/Bourdais would have been a heck of a title fight
Add in PT, Vasser, De Ferran, etc

Mauricio Gugelmin's pole speed was simply incredible, and it would stand until 2000 when Gil de Ferran topped it at 241.428 mph.

Pole position for Gugelmin and his teammate and championship contender Mark Blundell wins.

@m140m - yeah that was completely insane. Looked way too fast even from the roll bar camera.

Alex Zanardi should have never left Chip Ganassi's team to go to F1. He would created a legacy there that would be surpassed by no one!!!
