funny how Junior mentioned that he gets protection money from comley, yet two shipments got jacked by the same people. i mean, that doesn't sound like good protection to me.
@doz222 Ecrole "Eckley" DiMeo. it tells us this in i think either the 2nd or 3rd episode in season 1. tells us that he went to prison for drug traffcking or some shit thus makes Jacie the acting boss.
"Christopher Moltisanti is a fucking loose cannon" These words were proven true throughout the rest of the series until ultimately even Tony understood it after a nearly fatal car accident
I went on The Sopranos Tour last year, went to were Satriales was and it's been flattened sad! Amazing Tour though would definitely recommend it to any Sopranos enthusiast!
@Pablito1980Brigante - yeah, excellent tour. I took it myself in summer 2010. What could (should?) have been a tacky waste of time, was actually brilliant! You ended up at the ice cream parlour too, where they shot the last scene of the series? I got a few dances in the Bada Bing... damn tall blonde trashy looking woman dry humped me. Good times :)
@MrDenizen Haha! Yes Holstens Diner I think the name of that place was. Even got to sit in Tony's seat and eat onion rings. The only problem was my the battery on my camera died halfway through the tour. Got a great pic with the guy who played Vito at the start of the tour! Unfortunately I never got a dance at the Badda Bing either!
@Pablito1980Brigante - aww poor Vito was there for me as well. Selling stuff out the back of his Jeep. Probably "inbetween roles" and trying to make ends meet ;) I got a photo with him as well, turned out great. Think we had to pay $10 or $20 for an item first though.. no free photo otherwise! I got my photo taken in THAT booth in Holstens.. what a day... 100 degrees, sitting in Tony's seat, meeting Vito, seeing all the Soprano landmarks, and bada bing of course. Good times!
One of the few scenes that makes reference to DeMeo, the supposed head of the family that was apparently in prison. Originally, the part of Jackie, Sr. was intended to be an older guy around Junior's age but David Chase changed it for Rispoli. I'm wondering if the DeMeo character was created just to explain why a younger guy, like Jackie, was the head of the family and then conveniently forgotten as the series continued.
@Trinder3467 True....hes always in a hurry. He is probably a closet eater and leaves so can eat another capicolla and mortadella sangwich. I loved tony but he pissed me off alot. he was hard to figure out. Great acting by Gandolfini.
@TheNYCDreams- Jackie Aprile was a great boss. I think he rivaled that of Carmine Sr, in terms of a successful boss. His intelligence and fearlessness was also underrated. I wish he had been given a longer story line.
It's a shame for the New Jersey family that jackie aprile got cancer and died. You can see here, even when very ill, he had a cool head and knew and how to calm situations down and nip them in the bud before they escalated into the members wanting to kill each other. I think tony's more confrontational, and ruthless style of man-management was ultimately self-defeating, but then without that, it wouldn't have been as fascinating a TV show.
@davetherave22- Jackie Aprile was a great boss. I think he rivaled that of Carmine Sr, in terms of a successful boss. His intelligence and fearlessness was also underrated. I wish he had been given a longer story line.
@davetherave22 i agree, and Tony I think actually missed Jackie a lot, he always talked about how Jackie would do things and usually it was at times when things were all fucked up
@LepeczynLCN ur right. ( they never did any flashbacks about Jackies old man ) wonderful scene & its a little strange seeing the two sopranos laying total respect to someone else. Jackie was a great Don but Tony had more Power in his eyes & the eyes never lie my friend. great scene & wonderful series. rb

[Looking at Tony] " Maybe I should name a successor..." - Jackie Aprile

Whats junior mean when he says "Jackie you got a ruler". Does he mean he wants to smack tony?
turner45555 1 month ago
@turner45555 he says "ruling" - as in asking him if he has a judgment/ruling/decision on the dispute. its tough to hear.
