Ride the San Diego Trolley S70 Series on the Green Line

I plan to go to San Diego in July, staying by Balboa Park. What Trolley would lead me to Petco Park and the closest beach? thanks and please answer all questions!

@HeyMyNameIsJared orange line. the orange line stops right near petco park. as far as the beach goes, I'm not entirely sure. You might have to look into it. I know that the blue line goes to Imperial beach, but that's pretty far. You'll definitely have to connect with a bus. Go to sdmts.com and check out the bus routes.

@rive08 Well their now getting the s70's were getting 57 new in 2011 but thats what i thought and also the u2's are easier

@rive08 I wonder if it is possible for the San Diego trolley to run on the Los Angeles Blue Line train system! This is similar to the trains in Los Angeles!

Sorry, San Diego trains can't run on the LA Light rail system. LA uses metro style high level platforms while San Diego uses low floor platforms.

@rive08 when the next order of S70's arrives, they will be running on the blue line. U2's are going to be bumped to shuttle service.

Yeah and i like this but one thing i didnt know was there is a clear bar that if you touch then the ramp comes out and the door operns I accidently made this lady mad and miss the station she was going to of that its so funny!!!

ah yes the simmons S70's. eh, i kinda like the older trolleys (the U2's and the SD100's) because fo the leather seats. however i like the chimes used on the S70's
