  • costs 1029

  • should i get one of these or a höfner bass?

  • your just jealous

  • this is a great demo, im getting a used one soon

  • I lost seven minutes into this shit

  • @NikoRW Why ? It's a nice demo of the different sounds on the moog ...

  • @JazzyFunkaHolic Yep, I didn't read the description. Nice toy ;)

  • I hope I won't be waisting too much time noodling and not producing tracks when I get mine.

  • Thanks for posting a decent demo of this thing.

I'm pretty sure this is the only demo on youtube that doesnt involve a dude shredding with a preset.

  • Well said! Great demo for sure...seems like very few people know how to get good sounds out of moogs. Its usually all older guys playing a really lame sine wave patch with random notes.

  • I agree, nice sounds here. Too many other demos try to be a Keith Emerson impersonation. I love my LP for all the strange blips and noises it makes, and I really liked this demo. It shows that the LP has quite a wide tonal range.

  • I think this is better than the Voyager because of the price. The Voyager cost 2000! dollars more. This has the same fat moog sound, but with less control and tweakage.

Keep the Voyager, Ill take the little phatty and save 2 Gs.

By the way, where's the LP rack?

  • What about the Voyager Old School?

  • No doubt, have not played a single piece of Moog gear or though a Moog effect that did not have it's very sweet spot or many of them. The LP is no acception.

  • The most significant advantage of LP is the fact that the values will never jump, if you tweak them live. Because it has an active control system.

Voyager does have aftertouch, more modulations, 1 more oscillator etc.

How cares if LP doesn't have kadzillion features! I've played and tweaked one for couple of hours. No matter what I deed, it sounded just right < made me cry.

Can't say the same about digital synths.

I'm getting one, after this summer, probably. (want to wait a bit :))

  • With all due respect to InuvikPhil, the Phatty sounds anything but limited to me. The overall warm timbre of many of the sounds which it produces makes up for the lack of polyphony, IMHO. What a great tool for sonic sculpting as well as making music! Thanks for posting this!

  • it's like playing any monophonic insrument..trumpet, sax, flute.

What do you mean at the end of the day.

It's a FUN and fucking fat sounding instrument.

  • no, it'isn't... it's strange, i know, but it's also incredible what you can do even with only one note-at-once! personally, you should try it. i started music playing a minimoog... then i learned organ... but i prefer the moog synth!

  • You are mentioning to much faults in 2 sentences, shame onyourself, go google,

  • Ooh, I heard some Pacman-ish stuff. :D

    That's amazing, though!

  • nice vid man def pickin this one up!

  • I have got to get one...

    5:13 - Mason - exceeder (synth voice)

    nice

  • id kill to have that!!!

  • same cant afford anything close to that

  • wow nice synth

  • The MoOg is the greatest synth ever made!

  • Great Sounding Synth! I'm getting my Moog little Phatty on monday! Thanks for showing off the Moog machine!

  • cool. good to see the stage edition

  • sickest synth ever, i just bought one:)
