@misszsp lol it was supposed to be like that, in the drama his hearing's bad so he couldnt tell if he was off key in the beginning, then Hye Mi went and helped him through it y helping him find the pitch.

i decided to finally start watching dream high (in love with kim soo hyun) and what i love about dramas that revolve around singing is that the lead is usually never an idol and i love that. kim soo hyun never had any musical training prior being casted for dream high. and it reminds me of jang geun suk from you're beautiful. he was the lead singer and he was not an idol. same with lee min ho from bof. they can all sing but they do not pursue musical careers and focus on acting.
