  • HA! Phrikken lesson? More like a drunken stupor wannabe all wasted on cheap beer and pills at 3am on any given night. HA. And the crowds bowed their heads........................................... to a bunch of smelly stool. HA.

  • dude i been looking all over the place for this kind of feedback and i failed to find one. this was the only good example, but can you explain me how to do it, i would highly appreciate your responce..=)

  • lesson? -.-

  • Norsk eller???

  • cool man!! what are you using? fuzz? overdrive?

  • Lesson???

  • i would like to know your amp's knobs setup.. i mean volumen, trebble mid and bass.. cause all i come out with is a pitch that scars the hell out of me... i don't have a clue how to do it =(

  • FUKIN DAVID SPADE LOOK ASS

  • What I like about your feedback is that it is a different note than the note you hit and it is in harmony with the first note, usually a 3rd, 5th, or an octave up which is really cool because it is making music and not noise with a bunch of random sloppy sounds .. good job and great tone

  • sounds like a retarded guitar farted. say that ten times fast

  • its so cool, it sounds like kurt cobain. how can i do this?

  • i asked where is the lesson because your tone and feedback control is fabulous..

i would like to know a bit more how you do it ? .-)

  • come on listen to some jesus and mary chain and your speakers will cry from feedback...................nerd..

  • are you using line 6 dr distorto?

  • Giving a lesson on feedback is like giving a lesson on breathing.

  • nice

  • dude that 5 watt crate practice amp music style is freakin rad

  • fresh air!

  • this is not a lesson just plug ur guitar and use a high gain knobe all the way up with a little distortion.ooh and use neck pick up.

  • if he calls this a lesson....

  • is like: "ill give you a lesson, son."

    what a douchebag

  • Looks like a Fender Sub-Sonic, the neck seems longer than a regular strat.

  • I've tried playing feedback harmonics super close to the amp and I can't get it to work... maybe it's because I'm not playing loud enough?

  • @OfficialBlogger

    The louder the better.

  • Thanks

  • if its still not working try putting your bridge(the metal piece) next to the amp, it'll go crazy

  • @Oblivion3200 I think we all know what the bridge is.....

  • sounds like jimi hendrix a bit there. from the start of foxylady

  • where is the lesson?

  • @smartti1970 i was prepared to write the same comment when i saw yours!!wtf..........lesson........the guy just play guitar!!!!

  • that was awful

  • how did you created that?

  • Create feedback? Nah! LOL! Well just put your amp at high volume and play and vibrate the string. or mostly just hit the A string or D string and wait... If it doesn't work it means that because the sound waves of the amp isn't hitting the strings hard enough to create a loop effect...

  • that was awesome dude! What do the sheets on ur wall do man?

  • They are pretty thick blankets, they dampen the sound echo from the wall since the rehersal room is in a cellar with concrete walls.

  • The sheets insulate the sound from people outside hearing the noise, my bands practice space has blankets all over the walls to help shield the noise.

  • I dont like the feedback from strats.

  • that was not a lesson that was just watching you playing.. still great though..peace out =>

  • This was really cool. I have an amp with 2 power tubes and was hoping to use it to get some sweet sustain like this. I gather that bridge pickups and lots of treble are good. Any other tips?

  • lots of reverb ;)

  • i think you should actually do a lesson :P

  • Maybe I should, but I suck in english :P

  • well, you should only allow me to see the video, then there would be no need to feel ashamed :P

  • you know how to do the feedback like the ones of kurt cobain?

  • Like in Parer Cuts? Well you just bring your guitar beside the amp, put tremble at max.. Then make one string of your guitar touch the edge of the amp...

  • on my les paul, i usually get feedback standing with the pickups towards the amp and doing a 6th fret natural harmonic on the A string.

  • treble invites feedback, eg. it's easier to get feedback on the bridge pickups and with a wah pedal.

  • actually my amp is set up up with practicly no treble at all in this video, but you're right about the bridge pickup, wav makes it easier to get feedback, but you need alot of practice to master it to get a real tone feedback and not just a high pitch scream that scars you're ears.

  • Feedback doesn't work that well with solid state amps (tube amp is much better). And also guitar with crappy sustain ain't gonna cut it.

  • feed back is easy, just max out your amp, make a note. like a. and let the strings to its own thing

  • I Thought Feedback Was Normally By Wen Your Guitar Was By Your Amp

  • it's all about sound vibrations between the guitar and the amp, but at the right kinds of frequency, since you want a real tone and not just a high pitch that sounds awful

  • so is feedback only caused by hammerons and pulloffs really fast?

  • No, it's all about vibrations between the guitar and the amp

  • is it hard to master and is it a thing you get at the first or second try, or a lot of practice?

  • might take a little practice first times to get a sustainable tone out of the feedback

  • I just need a whammy bar and it'll be easier for all the notes... What happens when feedback is with a wah wah pedal? Well I got feedback, and my family hates it, lol! Because the amp has to be at a pretty high volume to get feedback just in front of it...

  • lol ;) using a wha wha pedal can make the tone actually scream if you move the pedal slowly at the top end of it's register

  • are you using a wah-wah pedal?

  • Nope..

  • your good man:p

  • how do you do that? is it reverb? or what kind of pedal. Also, can you switch it on really fast so the feedback happens right away?

  • it's only the reverb on my amp, the buttons I push on the beginning are for selecting channel 4

  • yeah yeah yeah

    ...yawn

  • ja ja ja

    gjesp :P

  • Fy Fan!!

Just turn up the volume and reverb away it goes weeeeeeeee

  • your pickups are single coils?

  • correct, standard 02 usa stratocaster pickups

  • thanks, like jimi hendrix, yeah

  • Oh,thanks

[In the begining of the video, it looks like you stepped on some sort of pedal, so I just figured that you had one]

I have to try that on my Line 6 Spider 3

    Great demonstration by the way

  • What pedal are you using?

  • no pedal, just the channels on the amp and a shitload of reverb and volume

  • good solo but i didnt get what lesson was being taught..

  • it's trying to use the feedback to sustain tones, getting a different sound but controllable

  • It's a big difference in getting feeback and controlling feedback.

  • Sick tone dude.

  • thanks ;)

  • this is silly..what lesson?! a waste of time.

  • This feedback "lesson" lacks... instructional content.

  • I agree.

  • Great demonstration, you have killer licks my friend.

  • thank you ;)

  • dude you should um try turning around and FACING THE AMP, if you are trying to get feedback between 2 magnets, like the uh speaker and the pickups, ya? lol.. check me out, no offense

  • I like the feedback you get from sound vibrations hitting the guitar better ;) I checked out you're video, it's cool, but after 2 minutes it get's abit boring though.

  • Jimi Hendrix

  • Hi man god job....but explain me how do you that feedback noise....please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that sounds so awesome man!

  • well, thank you ;)

  • you're welcome ^^

  • Does the guitar really have to be right in front of the amp to get nice feedback??

  • No, but you don't have to play so loud if you stand infront of the amp, it's all about sound waves hitting you're guitar.

  • but HOW AM I SOPOSED TO GET IT AND CONTROL IT

  • have you tried barely touching the string instead of killing it all the way, then killing it when you want to?

  • sound waves from you're amp will make you're guitar and strings vibrate, simply by pressing the right note gently on the guitar like D on the A string will make the tone of the D go into a harmonic feedback wich will sustain, vibrate it gently to make the tone stay and not turn into a high piiip.

  • a big muff pi fuzz box can produce some extraordinarily harmonic feedback at relatively low volumes. it's pretty amazing.

  • hehe...vil bare si takk for denne....

    sign:nikkipikki

  • i always use the bridge pickup for feed back, cus if u use the neck pick up, it will make ur tone go on forever, but i use feed back ass a wicked twist on the long notes, the higher the better, and when you do a vibrato super fast with the bridge pick up on, ur feed back goes from like a 5th to a 3rd and another thing up an octave that i can't even figure out. it's like a pinch harmonic with the nodes, idk how it works exactly but if u use a fast vibrato, ur feed back goes crazy.

  • No offense man but.. really now. Noise effect- and musical- feedback are two very very different things. your feedback needs some serious Viagra, chico.

  • yeah! feedback is cool!

  • indeed it is ;)

  • Fett ljud!

Håller själv på att exprimentera med rundgång.

  • hey man nice tone how is you set up(amp and distortion)? and what is the function of those blankets in the background?

  • My amp doesn't have any digits on the controls, you need a fair amount of gain and volume, the amp I use has 4 channels from clean 1, crunch 2, lead 3, heavy lead 4, this is chan 4, all eq 12'o clock lead 3'o clock, lead volume 3'o clock, reverb 12'o clock (reverb help start the feedback easier) master volume 10'o clock, this is also a full tube amp. The blankets are for reducing sound bouncing off walls since they're made of concrete, this is the same room I practice with my band. hope it helps

  • yes sure thanks

  • which pickup do you use?Bridge?

  • Bridge.. You can use bridge at start and switch to neck when you have sustained the feedback for a vary of tone, but it's harder to keep the tone with the neck pickup.

  • thx man, you help me a lot!!

  • you're welcome =)

  • takker og bukker....aka nikkipikki

  • Hehe... Alt for nikkipikki x)

    Feedback ja :)

Du får au sånne gitaruttrykk ser jeg x)

    Jeg gjør også det :P

  • Hehehe.. hvorfor ikke :P

Ja jeg får gummitryne når jeg spiller, klarer ikke la være :P
